Hoping someone can help me out with a controller issue I'm having on PC.

I've got an older Hori Fighting Stick EX2 that I bought around the time SFIV came out. I'd like to use it with my PC. I plugged it in, windows 10 installed the driver for it, and I figured I'd be good to go. But for whatever reason, Street Fighter V doesn't recognize it, Street Fighter IV doesn't recognize it, even InputMapper doesn't recognize it. I've checked the device manager, and the controller shows up there, but other than that it's completely unresponsive.

Any tips?

Gonna get through all or most of the Story Modes for all the characters and mess with training for either Nash or Vega before hopping online at 9pm PST. Runs beautifully with my 2011 PC on default settings. Xbox 360 Mad Catz pad working awesome too, but can't wait til I can use the incoming TE2+.

Could someone please explain the VPN trick to me? :[

I wont get to play at all tomorrow, so being able to play some tonight would be amazing.

Reboot PC? Uninstall the stick and the driver. Possibly find a new program/driver for your stick. I'm not an expert, but I'd start there.

Yup. That's why playing CPUs in SF is the worst. You don't actually mix them up or anything. You're just hitting them because they allow you to hit them.

You learn nothing from fighting AI, except maybe confirming hits.

If you have literally never played SF before, you can learn a ton from fighting AI. Movesets, ranges, recovery times, combo possibilities. Maybe it's easy for veterans to forget, but before you learn the mental game, you have to learn how to make your character do what you want with 6 buttons and a bunch of special moves.

Imagine not knowing in your gut how far a character jumps or which air attacks can cross up. This is stuff that can be learned through experience in an arcade mode.

Download tunnel bear, install and create and free account.

Exit out of steam.

Open tunnel bear, select the UK and wait for it to connect.

Open up steam and unlock the game..

Once inside the game, you can disconnect tunnel bear.

Yeah but that would require me to switch out cables every time i want to play this.

That's what I do. My PS4 sits beneath my 65" plasma, but I keep an 12' long (I think...) HDMI cable coiled up behind the stand. Then I just run it to my monitor whenever necessary.

Why would you risk survival mode right off the bat, expect dcs and funny stuff. Thousands of people are hammering the servers right now. I'm guessing it's not your net lol

I honestly just didn't think about it? I just wanted to unlock some colors for my main that are different from the two colors I've been looking at for the 50 hours i played the betas

edit - Says i can do survival without being online, but I won't earn fight money and exp, but what about the costume colors?

So looking at the steam forums it looks like the crash bug for wacom tablets and touch screens is in the final game... keep it mind when you think a PC player is rage quitting on you.

Sometimes the game becomes slow as fuck. Happens during menus. Changing resolutions back and forth seems to fix it temporarily. This is all weird, the beta was fine.

Ok, after failing two times at the third fight, third time was the charm and I got my 3 wins streak in ranked trophy.
I can go to sleep knowing I will have profited from the affluence of casual players at launch. :D

Laura's resets fuck up online people at the moment. <3

I'm trying to get that trophy out of the way, too. Probably isn't going to happen since I'm ass, though :/

do you have to do this everytime or will it remain unlocked?

"I long for a day when a fighting game that isnt so convoluted can come along again. I skipped 4 and was hoping would be a tad more simplistic but alas, no."

I'm curious as to what fighting games you think aren't convoluted and how they're less convoluted than other Street Fighters.

why you baitin son you know he gonna say smash bros

Yeah I'm sticking to net quality 5 only, even 4 gave me heavy rollback stutter. I'll check if it's got anything to do with crossplay maybe, hope not.

I've also been destroying some fools, I feel kind of bad about it tbh

I knew the AI was shit practice but the first time I beat Arcade mode without losing a round felt like an accomplishment. Seth was cheesy as fuck and I was really bad (still am) at Street Fighter but at least it felt like progress.

Big reason I'm looking forward to this game is being able to play bad players like myself. I had zero desire to play SF4 online because I got to it way too late and it just wasn't fun. Matches weren't even close, it was just too demoralizing.

I mean.. if you really feel that way, Rising Thunder sounds right up your alley

and if that's somehow too complicated.. I donno man. maybe primal rage

Playing a few story battles at 4K ,max with a 980Ti and i53570K and held 60 FPS outside of a weird drop during one of the stages. Hopefully a slight overclock will help that.
