Won my first match, then got a "error to connect" message and didn't get any points for it.

Yeah, time to take a break for a while.

PC (me) vs PS4 user btw.

It won't be. Don't hope. I can tell you now from experience, it will only get worse before it gets better.


It'll go something like this:

Today(TUE) will be worse. Everyone is thinking the same thing (gonna get home and play).
(WED) Will be the much of the same although slightly less so.
(THU) Will be slightly better than WED. But you will get dc'd every match or two.
(FRI) Will be a disaster
(SAT) Will be a nightmare. The server will turn into a savage.
(SUN) Will be slightly better than the nightmare of SAT. That's still bad.


We will begin to see the game being in a consistently playable state come next TUE. MON would be nice, but is unrealistic.

I've seen this countless times already.

I would make a joke about you being an optimist but this is most likely what will happen.

  • The game CTD on me every 20-30 mins, so I refuse to go online until it is fixed.
  • I get disconnected from the server and kicked to the main menu, whatever I'm doing, even if it is offline. That's utterly retarded.
  • A friend couldn't find my ID at first. When the system finally took me in, we couldn't join a lobby because it didn't exist.
  • Story Mode is a big joke. I see no dificulty options, the images are mediocre and the stories are... well, I've only played Ryu's and Necalli's and they were as nonsensical as they get.
  • No way to delete messages.
  • Load times, even when offline, are stupid. I'm playing on a SDD and it takes a while to even load Training Mode. I won't even go into unnecesary screens.
  • OBS doesn't find the .exe :lol
All in all, a very disappointing launch. The game is gold when it comes to fighting, but everything else is either broken or stupid.

Wow. I really need to stop buying games at launch. Picking up my CE today, but damn if I'm not bummed at all the issues you listed. Hopefully they get a patch out by the weekend (I doubt it).
 
server mayhem is expected in this day and age

will probably take the opportunity to go through story/survival over the next week or so til things get cleared up
 
I wish you could set a character you want to work on gitting good with as your casual match pick rather than choose not to get any ranked matches with your main...

Feels good to me so far. :shrug:

Been playing for almost an hour now, with no issues.

I think they've fixed the major server issues from last night.
 
So I'm guessing those of us who used a VPN to unlock the game early will permanently have the wrong location circled on the World Map background on the main menu screen.

I'm from the US, but used a EU VPN to unlock early, and now it's still showing a red circle around EU.

Anybody else having this issue? And if so, is there going to be any way possible to fix this? I won't mind if it doesn't affect my online performance or anything.
 
Hey how does the home location work? I picked the SFV logo because I wasn't sure what it was asking and it said you couldn't change it. Do you have to recreate the profile to get it to change if needed?

Then I hope I'm as lucky. Seems like the majority of people are having major load and server issues. I'm not looking to go online any time soon because I need to practice a lot more, so hopefully by the time I feel ready it'll be fine.
 
So the PS4 will enter rest mode if you're using a PS3 stick if you have power saving options set to do that after inactivity.
The PS3 stick disconnects with your dualshock 4 and you need to reconnect it via the stupid menu.

This needs to be sorted out.

Also I'm still looking for a Cammy code to swap for my Ryu one. It has to be EU/UK PSN, just tried to swap codes with an NA and it didn't work.

Online seems to be hit for miss so far on PC for me. I've gotten connection errors a few times when trying to find a ranked match but was able to play a couple of matches. The first one was lag free but the second one had lag and teleport issues.
 
So how do I close the distance on fireballs without Cammy's spin knuckle?

I beat the story mode with Cammy and it didn't unlock her story costume for online play.

Please tell me I don't need to authenticate my fightstick every time I boot up the game on PS4.
 
Been getting a game every two mins for the last fourty mins, all been good connections, even played some dude from japan twice (or he at least had the japan flag up...) and it felt decent.
 
Anyone here with an arcade stick that has an Akishop PS360+ installed tried it with SFV? I'm curious if the PS3 stick compatibility vicariously extends to that eliminating the annoying Bluetooth timeout issue.
