PS4 just spat my disc out and now won't take it back.

Done the fix regarding the problem but I fucking hope it doesn't happen again.

Can't be doing this to me :(

I was under the impression this is the case for Best Buy as well. Now I got no idea when I will receive my code >___>

Was hoping for the same, but this is what the U.S website say about it:
"Download: BestBuy account required. Instructions to redeem are usually e-mailed within 1 hr. Non-returnable. Download in US only. Unlimited play. Install on 1 gaming system."

Been over 3 hours after pick-up for me and still nothing.

Need a little help here, so I completed Survival on Normal (30) in Cammy's Premium battle suit.
This seems to have unlocked colours for only this costume, does this mean I have to do it again to unlock colours for each suit Cammy has? Also if I do so will I get more fight money for each suit?

At the moment Cammy has 3 different costumes, I don't want to have to complete hard difficulty 3 times with each just to get colours if its avoidable. Getting fight money would make it seem like less of a grind though I guess.

Holy crap. Yeah, I used a Norway VPN but made damn sure to select US as my country for CFN. But it has a circle around The Netherlands. I really hope that isn't affecting my matchmaking. Fuck.

Anyone else able to corroborate this? AFAIK you can't change that anywhere. Is there any way we can confirm what country it's trying to match us in?

I'm having an awful time with the PS4's d-pad. Even having issues getting QCFs out. Can't wait for my hori pad to get here.
If you've never used your D-Pad for anything before fighters, it's basically new. Dual Shock d-pads need to be broken in before they start to work.

How do I use the touchpad on the controller to reset in Training?
Doesn't seem to be working?

You have to setup which shortcuts you want to be active in the menu (it describes how to do them at the bottom of the screen).

BTW, in general, it's a good idea to read the scrolling text at the bottom of the screen when selecting things in menus. They explain a lot.

For example, they tell you which survival ladder you need to beat to get which alt colors.

Glad I decided not to dick with using a VPN to get the game a few hours early. It is spelled out clearly against Steam TOS and if this fucks you, I wouldn't be surprised if it is something you are going to have to live with and Capcom or Steam won't be able to help you.

Not even sure I'm getting this but I just had to post to say that this is probably the best OT I've seen on GAF.

Job well done. Awesome

I have the priorities of someone who grew up and continues to enjoy playing SF for its single player content first and foremost. Is it really so hard to believe that such people exist? People that like SF games for their character designs, stages, art, music, presentation, lack of high levels of gore or lewdness, small touches in stages and such that show a level of care and attention, a variety of modes, actual (unplayable) bosses and character dialogues etc.?

I still go back to SFII, Alpha and III regularly because their total package makes me want ot return to them to experience their content once more, not just their combat mechanics. Every time I'm floored again by them in fact. IV never managed to have this lasting impact on me because I always felt it lacked an identity beyond being fully nostalgia driven or a KOF style dream match where anything goes. V seems better in that regard despite my problems with it, but it has yet to find its footing in terms of offering a more unique experience as well because it is lacking so many things that I listed above, things such as the promised stage transitions and overall presentational polish.

And once more: I do certainly also care about online functionality and such, and I happily join the chorus of complaints on those, I just don't care about them above the other things I mentioned. Not every SF fan is only focused on online compeition and learning combo strings in the training mode - some of us actually care about the wrapping and other content as well.

Maybe you should try to keep a more open mind about people's tastes instead of hounding those that have a different perspective? Just a thought.

Preach it, brother. While the main draw of SF for me these days is competitive play, I still think that elements pertaining to presentation, features, and polish shouldn't be swept under the rug like they don't matter. I get that this game didn't have the budget or resources that bigger games have gotten, but it's still disappointing when you take all of the missing features and polish together as a whole.

I have faith that Capcom will flesh the whole package out and support it well in the coming months, however. It's not ideal, but I think that this strategy is really the only option for a game that came into being under these particular circumstances.

so people that pre-ordered on PSN can't trade their Chun codes right? I have a Bison code and I would love a Chun code instead, but I'll live with it if I can't trade it.

I have an old xbox360 madcatz TE fight stick that I use on on my PC, it was working fine last time I used it about 3~ months ago. But now the stick inputs seem to be getting stuck. Sometimes when I crouch and go back to neutral the character stays crouching for a moment, and when I move forward or back the character sometimes takes an extra step. It doesn't happen 100% of the time but often enough. I know it's not a problem with SF5, I went back and tested it in SF4 and the same thing happened.

Is my stick completely busted? Anyone know if there a way to fix it?

I had the same exact problem with my 360 TE-S stick. At first I thought it was a driver issue, but it was happening on my friends' PCs and on console 360. Then I noticed that my directional switch was set to LS so I switched it back to DP(d-pad) and I haven't had that problem since. I don't know why, but at least it works now.

It worked fine for me last night. I played on the battle lounge for about 2 hours with one of my buddies before stopping.

I guess I will try it once more tonight. The problem was that the lobbies either kicked you out eventually or you are not allowed to create one. Also nobody got my invitations or I didnt get theirs.

I dont mind barebones modes, but I expected to be able to practice with people you add than still play random matches which ive already played to death with the beta. It literally feels like a Beta still when the experience is not much different than survival mode and some barebones prologue with still images.

Same thing happening here. Wanted to get in there early for my name, hope that wasn't a mistake.

I'm using a DS4 and the amount of times I whiff inputs is grinding on my nerves.

Went on play asia and got a Fighting Commander 3 for £38 including shipping. Looked at the FC4, but it didn't seem too different to warrant the price increase.

I loved the look of the Mad Catz SFV D-pad as it was a flat circle. However other gaffers who got it said their d-pads broke or were not responsive.

Any other people using Fighting Commander 3?

Ha-ha, yea I was. I was and still am losing to alot of 4 hit setups

My Nash is rusty.

I just fought a mirror match with Nash and the guy fought just like me but better. We had similar thought processes when executing moves....he beat me.

Nash doesn't have much range and I have to remember that.

yeah my issue has been restricting me jabs and shorts that were so effective in sf4 and getting used to the priority system. been getting blown up by counter hits all over the place lol

not to mention not having fadc being get out of jail free card. on the bright side getting blown up like this is going to help me with my defense and fundamentals (i hope)

my friend just sent me my code, heh. also lol @ my rank

I was able to find a Level 5 only connection Ranked match once, and it was virtually lag free. I don't think the location bubble matters, because there is no way I could play someone from EU that smoothly.

I was able to get matches fine earlier but now I'm not getting any.

still cant find a match. This is infuriating. During the beta the matches were nonstop, now I can't even create a lobby.

Wow. I havent tried online fighting yet. But what yall say reminds me of Dragonball Xenoverse at launch. couldn't no one get online to save their own life. Typical for fighting games? In MK X PS4 we could at least get online tho.

Well I have my flag set to SFV & now I cannot change it, but it has on the map the UK highlighted which is where I am from, so I have been told this,

You're stuck with it. Should have did what it said and picked your own region.

SFV flag if like SFIV means you're in region not supported by PSN, so you're likely gonna get matched with shitty connections unless it matches by IP, which it probably doesn't or it wouldn't ask you to pick a region.

:/

With all the problems Capcom should do a reset or allow people to make a one-time change.
