How am I supposed to deal with Karin as M.Bison? Almost every Karin player just stays in my face with medium pressure and everything I try to do to counter poke or get away ends up with me taking massive amounts of damage. Holy shit it's so frustrating.
I went to training mode and made the Karin dummy do cr.MP > st.MP > the special with two upkicks and there's nothing I can about it except super? Am I missing something?

It should default to highlighting your favourite character with costume and colour but still let you change things up if you want. Sounds like the current method flat out selects the favourite for you.
Skipping the character select speeds up getting to the actual match so I welcome this change personally.
OH WOW. I didn't know he stole some meter from that move. That's pretty damn awesome. Does his V-skill/eating Hadokens do the same?

Game is so early though. I'm still in "lab" mode.
I don't how any anyone can settle on a main so early.

I never used Karin in the beta. Was pretty much a Nash only. But oh man, Karin is such a beast. Was totally worth it getting beat again and again when I picked her up. I'm up to ultra bronze now thanks to her. Can't stand Nash right now, he seems so weak compared to her.

The battle menu lets you set a new character easily, it's also available during training and takes a couple of secs.
Yeah I mained Ken in SF4 and he def feels different

Do you have any touchscreen devices like a Wacom tablet? Having these plugged in and enabled causes crashes periodically.
You can select your character before each match in lobbies.
I've been using MP > c.HP > M/HK Tatsu as my damage dealer
Depending on which version you use, you either cross over them when they're down or you don't, which makes for some good mindgames. Works after a jump in as well, but you have to be really close for it to connect. Doesn't seem to work after a neutral jump.
Otherwise, keep it simple with stuff like
MP > MP, HP, HK if they're standing or
MP > c.MK > Hadouken/Tatsu.
I'm not an expert player by any means and there's probably more optimised combos out there, but that's the baseline I've come up with in training.
Don't forget to work V-Trigger cancels into your combos if you have the bar

Pretty sure Karin's lk upkicks are -5 on block, so you should get jab into whatever Dictator gets off a jab, maybe lk scissors?

did you already play and level up with him a bit? You only get 2000 from story mode, the rest comes from leveling up a character from scratch to level 8 by doing the story mode
None of Karin's specials are safe except the shoulder and a charged V-Skill. Lk Mujinkyaku is -5, so you need to find a normal and range where you can punish it. Also, use your V-Revesal! Don't block forever!

God I can't tell you how good it feels to be at a point where you can consistently punish jump ins with DP. That sense of hesitancy that I got when someone jumps and I was trying to make my hands work in that time span is gone and now I'm consistently antiairing people. It's great.

I could have sworn I tried LP and LK last night and they either didn't reach or got blocked, but I'll try it again tonight, thank you! If I can hit st.LK I can definitely cancel that into LK scissors.
I have an execution problem with the V-Reversals, I tend to get EX Psycho Blast instead of the reversal. I just need to practice it some more, thanks!
But if that Lk Mujin is -5, and Dictator's LP/LK are 4 frames, doesn't that mean it's a 1 frame punish? Or am I misunderstanding frame data? Is there a resource with up-to-date frame data?
I've been having no problem. Getting matches every 10 seconds or so.

Im having the same issue still. Not quite sure what's causing the problem (my settings are all good) and it's a pity as when I get games they are excellent.

Wtf, so I get kicked out of bronze league back down to rookie, but now it's no longer matching me with other rookie players? Just watching my LP go down and down and down, I'll be back to 0 soon.
