I just hope when the store comes we scrubs that can't do end boss' of survival can buy colours with our FM... or hell I'd pay a small zenny fee to get the shades I want.

Personally, I think 50 characters is impossible to balance. SFV is still a newborn but so far everything feels fairly balanced. Everyone is fun to use, at least, and I give them mega props for that. We can reasonably assume that SNK hasn't been working on the game that long because the first reveal looked worse than the first reveal of SFV. Now, I'll take a balanced, small roster over a huge, imbalanced one. And thus far SNK has been mostly shit with netcode, although I think they are changing that up this time. But if you just view it from a consumer perspective, rather than an FGC perspective, SNK is on track to shame SFV at their launch.

Also, this:

...gives me a lot of confidence. I love Street Fighter, but KOF 13 was the best 2D fighter last gen.
 
Finally got some games in online. 3 for 3 so far. Wonder how long before my shitty Karin gets exposed. I definitely suck ass with her dash uppercut, dont know what it is about that move and my execution.

That cr MK -> mujinkyaku doing work though.

The guide is super nice, lots of useful info with frame data, lots of combos for each character etc. The 8x10 Ryu & Ken matted are is nicer than I expected as well. Already stuck it in a frame and put it on the wall in the mancave. :D

I love the guide. For a Street Fighter noob like myself, I'd say it's near perfect. Sure, it's a printed guide, so some things will change. But, I love the comprehensive glossary at the beginning and the detailed breakdown of each character. I had no idea there were so many terms to understand, and don't even get me started on interpreting frame data. I can't wait to dive back in tonight and keep practicing!

Same happened to me :(

Picked up a cheap key for PC and I'm really enjoying it. Playing with Birdie atm but need to get experimenting with other characters. Laura seemed neat, I like her slow projectile. I don't really want to go shoto but I may end up doing so.

Birdie's normals seem great, I just suck :D Keeping at it though. Keeping at it.

It's also worth noting for those that don't have it that it comes with a code for the digital version of the guide, which says it will be updated for no additional cost for one year (through 2/16/2017).

They also usually have cool art in them! I LOVED the Marvel vs Capcom 3 guides for the art!
 
Is there an easy way to cancel a shoryuken into critical art?
I was trying st. MP, cr. HP xx HP shoryu xx CA , i can get to the HP shoryuken but I don't know how to easily cancel into CA
 
Got two matches in a row with no results submitted so I restarted the game, and now I cannot connect. Just when you think they solved the problems.

Sure you could mash it, but it's very easy. When you realize how to super cancel, you'll be fine

I feel like I'm only doing well with Bison because people around 1000 points generally don't know how to deal with scissors or know when to punish his dash or block strings. Occasionally I find the people that know and I just get blown the fuck up (ex: A Ryu interrupt my st.MP > cr.MP with jab xx Super), or they punish the dash.

I really don't think I'm good enough at footsies to beat those players with Bison. Especially since tick throws aren't really a thing at all with him, and heavy scissors isn't + anymore.

Should I just learn another character? Bison's a blast to play when I can land crush counters and do offense, but it's just going to get harder.

Also, is the only resource for frame data the prima guide? Apparently there's an Android app but I'm on iOS.
