Feels bad man. I can't hold onto Super Bronze haha. If I lose I lose 86+ points. If I win I get 26.

GG Capcom. Once again your internet ranking system sucks shit at math. :/

Ryu > Ken in that match up. Laaawd.

Finally I created my first lounge.
Played with a PS4 friend.
Netcode worked beautifully.

Yeah, have to say Ihaven't had more than 1 lag match this whole time, and I didn't even set a connection restriction.

So how do you actually invite someone without having to retype their ID every single time? Also, is there currently a way to even hear, let alone pick the character themes in game?

Would really like to know this too
Edit: ah, thanks lady s

Gives me bad flashbacks to the old Halo 2 ranking system. Win 5 matches in a row? Maybe you'll rank up. Lose one match but were easily the best player on your team? Fuck you, go down a level.

Ugh why am I so baaaad. I keep losing to other obviously new players that just spam the same moves. In training I can do some good combos and my specials repeatedly, but when fighting a human I just get nervous and do dumb shit.

Not sure if this is right but maybe you add them to your favorite fighters list?

It says that in game too, although we weren't finding any option in the Battle Lounge. Do you do this after the matches end (you quit) or something? We kept getting disconneced every few matches, so we never saw the post match screen, if there was one that was any different.

Well that's fucking stupid

It really isn't. Think how damn easy it would be to have two controllers, and player 2 just stands there while you rack up points.

If you can't move past it then that is your level of play. This isn't like leveling.

heheh, yeah, the same thing happened to me.
The first 25 fights lulled me into a false sense of security, then I suddenly got demolished by an AI that won't fall for the same move 20 times in a row.
I'm hoping capcom will tone down the difficulty on the normal one so we can all unlock the alternate colours, they can keep hard and hell as they are for the really good players

I'm dumb! Earlier today I was complaining that if someone dropped, you couldn't figure out their names because 1) their names don't appear under "players met" and 2) because the replay won't save, even if you get to the KO state.

Duh, the Share button! Get the name by watching the PS4's auto-recording. Watch out droppers, I'll be shaming everyone who drops on me from now on.

Me too. I expect this is something that can only be overcome with practice.

As an example crush counter into CA with Birdie is super easy for me in training, but as soon as I start fighting real people I panic and can't do it at all.

If I had a nickel for every time I got to the third round and got close but not close enough, I would have several nickels

Feels good to be able to keep up with most of the people I've been matched with thus far, and beat several

Feels worse than that though. Here winning is a small crawl, but it isn't 5 matches. You need to win a SHIT ton to get a nice buffer so that if you lose you don't rank down. I would have to win about 10 matches to get 260 points over 1k. That way I can afford to lose 2 matches. That's fucked in the head.

It may work fine if it starts to match me up with non rookies and bronze so I don't lose so much, but right now it's a shit smear.

I honestly wouldn't even show my points. I'd just give me a rank, and the more I win the higher it goes. Let it all be in the background.

Considering you can buy stuff with Fight Money that costs REAL MONEY, no. It isn't.

What would be to stop plugging in another controller and decimating a lifeless corpse to the tune of $$$ Fight Money?

No. They made the right choice.

how much fight money do you have atm?

Well, because that is how many people want to play the game, of course.

I mean, it obviously makes a ton of sense why it isn't an option, it would be crazy abusable, but I don't think that comment is coming from a place of careful consideration...

Very nice set I had with you. Had fun. Hoped you learn some things. That last match with that comeback with Chun lol. I'm sorry that had to happen with our last match.

For sure, for sure! I definitely learned some things, I'll practice it up tonight. You broke my spirit with that one, haha. I was feeling confident till that moment. :P

Yeah same here. I'm using Mika atm and have trouble getting close to opponents. Most of the damage I do is by random heavy jumping kicks and crouching kicks.

Also, since when does any multi thing rank up in local play?

What's the word on FANG? I'm interested by his moveset but I can't find much in the way of people saying which characters seem better or worse than others. I know this stuff will change a lot since it's only Day 2 right now but I'm still interested in what people think.

And no I'm not going to pick one character over another just because people think they're godly/shit tier... just curious.

It fucking failed to register my win! Are you fucking kidding me!? I get matched every 30 mins and it refuses up register my win? Fix this shit Capcom.

What's the difficulty difference of the CPU like in survival mode? Are the first 10 rounds of normal like the easy ones and so on or is it a consistent upscale across all rounds?

I found easy and normal to be about the same difficulty... Except for the last fight of normal. Round 30 is a noticible bump up in AI difficulty...

Spamming a move over and over for chip and finishing people off causes people to quit the game and give no win.

Lol, taking a break from mind game/zoner Rashid into spam Rashid is great.

Sick of surivial mode bullshit. Get to stage 28 or 29 and the game fucks me over. I hope the guy who designed this shit gets hit by a car.

I'm not upset by the server issues or anything (launch window for a popular game, I've seen this enough times and as I've gotten older I've mellowed). But I have to say I'm surprised how much SFV stumbled out of the gate the last 36 hours considering how smoothly the last beta went.

He has a lot of potential
Besides shoryukens, which whiffed attacks offer up chances for guaranteed crush counters?
I think DPs are the only moves that get guaranteed counterhits on their recovery, other moves you gotta hit them on their startup
