If you were playing a ton during the day, I imagine the people who are at home mid-day are probably better than the average user. Also, there could just be some bad habits of yours that set in. You should upload a few matches or share your CFN name so we can see some replays and analyze your losses.
...or just tell PC players if we're gonna see Hot Ryu/Cammy at some point or we just have to wait for them to suddenly go up after the shop opens

Got disconnected while doing some Survival mode (first time this happened for me btw!) and decided to hit the lab with Claw. Gotta say, way better than I originally anticipated. I tried picking him up in Beta 2 but it didn't really play out well. I was sort of deciding between Dictator & Claw for my 2nd, as i've gotten pretty good with Necalli but would like another character to explore the game with, and I think Claw & Cammy are gonna be those characters for me until my main Urien comes out.
Also, gonna buy the Season Pass and use FM to buy costumes. Its super early days, but the fighting system they crafted in this game is incredible, and I hope to see Capcom & Sony continue supporting the game for a long time to come.

The game tries to match you against people close to your rank, but if it works like it does in the betas, your rank isn't updated immediately after every match. So, you might have cruised to 950LP while being matched against players close to 0LP the whole time, then your rank was recalculated, and now you're getting paired with ~1000LP players.

So I played every character's story mode again to try to recoup the 11k Capcom didn't give me out of the 160k total. I got 2k back in a R. Mika match, and that was it. Still missing 9k.

The most expensive DOA5 costumes are $2.99 and they're the destructable ones. All the others are $2, which is still pretty silly. DOA5 is basically a Costume-Delivery Platform, I have no idea who is spending the hundreds of dollars for the costumes and season passes but they are definitely out there.
DOA5 also comes with a large collection of alternate costumes included in the game. Not just 2. And unlocking them is easy and not limited to one mode..
Now that I think about it, this is what vanilla DOA5 launched with for $60, in addition to 23 characters, a number of alternate costumes and a good selection of multiple evolving, segmented and interactive stages:
This also overlooks tag mode, which was available offline.
I'm going to also add that the story mode, while dumb IMO, was at least fully-cinematic AND several hours long. At launch.

Christ, I didn't think I'd see people rage quit on battle lounge but it happened after the first round.
It's a good feature. It reduces load screens so you get to matches quicker. They should streamline how you set it though.
I thought my game was glitching before I realized this....
With this game the servers could very well be dropping people and it not being a rage quit. Last time I tried lobbies my friends game would crash in the match.
Sorry don't know how to type in lounge. Also in using joytokey so it messes up my keyboard.

It actually makes a ton of sense for ranked since you're most likely playing competitively and don't want to sit through a character/map select screen every time you get into a match as it'd be much faster to just match up and go.
Lobbies you can set map/character selection, but character/map selection probably should be there for unranked.
Reminds me of Vanilla SFIV grinding survival for colors, of course they changed it for super but they thought it was a good idea again for some reason. Guess they needed another mode you could earn FM in.

Well I can see why it is that way. Tthe game uses CFN IDs not PSN or Steam names. How would a PS4 player add a Steam player for example?
Yeah, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to choose characters for Casual matches. It makes perfect sense for Ranked, though.

Also, during the betas, I did not have PS+ at all, and was still able to play online.
