Street Fighter V |OT| No Options to Select

I swear this game is fucking trolling me when it comes to that 3 wins in a row trophy every fucking time I rarely get 2 wins the third match is always someone in a league at least one higher than my own but more often that not 2 leagues higher

Finally started on survival. This mode is balls lol. Why are these powerups completely randomized? I don't need full heal after round 5. I want full heal on 30.

why do I always have issues finding matches :/ I've only had one online match ever.

Is it because I'm wireless? Pulling a cable isn't an option atm

I'm wireless as well, so that can't be the issue. I get matches fine. Maybe country?

holy shit guys, please stop playing on wireless.

PLEASE.

There is a reason why it is in the OT. It makes games incredibly frustrating and laggy, even with a good ping, good bandwidth, 5 bars, etc. You may think you have a good connection. You don't.

It is because WiFi only performs at half duplex. It cannot send and receive data at the same time. And that is at Access Point level. So any other devices on your Wifi will also be needed to send and receive data.. but it can only do one of those at a time.

By using a wired connection, you are operating at full duplex. You can simultaneously send and receive data. It makes for a much smoother game play. Just because you do not notice any lag, does not mean the other person is not experiencing it because of your fucking wifi.

If your router, switch, whatever is in another room or too far away and you have no choice but to use wifi... look at a Powerline Adapter Kit for your room. You plug one end into a power outlet in your house, and hook an ethernet cable from your router/switch to it.. and then put the other one near your outlet by your ps4/pc/whatever. Then plug an ethernet cable from that into your device. Boom. You are now on wired ethernet at full duplex using the power cables in your home.

Not really into fighting games but I'm really having fun with this.

Been using my PS3 Hori Fighting Commander and I'm considering upgrading to he PS4 version for the convenience, For anybody who has one, do you need to switch it on in the options menu?

Would people recommend the pad I'm after or the official Street Fighter V pads?

I can attest to the powerline adapter, it works amazingly well and is very affordable.

They really need to improve the load times. Even on an SSD it takes forever.
It's the network. Try the game offline and you'll see everything load way faster. It scares me that Capcom says their servers are working correctly now. I really hope they are as serious about maintaining and improving this game technically as they are about selling content.

they were tweeting that ALL DAY as well

it's been much better for me today but I don't think anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes to find a ranked match is working "fine"!

could people just spam them with videos of people ragequitting/DCing?

Yikes, I guess you've had some rough lag in matches lol. I'm probably not going to shell out another $35 bones to improve your experience when mine has been near perfect, but I appreciate the information!

Good to know you don't care about playing on your shitty connection with others. I'm sure people love playing you.

They're asking for that info. Bastards.

Should almost be a thread of its own. At the very least, it'd be entertaining.

15 game win streak. I am officially retired, goodbye SFV.

On a more serious note, what the fuck is up with the game taking nearly 3 minutes to find a ranked match? Really annoying, I would like to get as many matches in as a can with my limited amount of time.

I dunno, everything? Dude is gross as hell. Ridiculous at zoning, strong in your face, good anti air, get out of jail card etc

He has his weaknesses though. There are certainly ways to deal with him, but it just requires a good understanding of how to get in without relying on jumping or gimmicks.

Good luck getting in without jumping though. He litterally has a move that places a goddamn poison wall in front of him....

How does a powerline adapter work? I moved rooms so for now I'm having to deal with wi fi until I get a wired solution going.
It's super easy if it works, but whether it works depends on your house's wiring.

You just plug one in near your router and connect an ethernet cable. Then plug in the other node near your console/PC and run ethernet between those too.

Nice, good looking out bro. Just called them and said they would change it within the next 24 hours. Hopefully I'll be able to play then. :P
Are you based in Lima? My friends are in charge of the official Capcom Pro Tour event that take place in the MasGamers event in a few months, maybe you'd be interested to come down and meet the community.

Just as I described. It uses the power in your home to carry network data. They work really well- better than wifi. I used one in my old house before my wife and I sold it and it worked great. It was a 60 year old house as well so the power lines weren't exactly new.

You get two devices that plug into the outlet. Plug an ethernet cable into one from your router. Then plug the other device into an outlet in the room you want. And run an ethernet cable from it to your ps4/pc. That is it. Takes 5 minutes.

hey a match finally popped, a casual against a nice Laura. Got kinda destroyed in round 3 tbh. Ranked stream still holding tho!

not for long lol
