I havent had many smooth battle lounges. However once they work they stay that way. They have been on and off when it comes to reliable playing. Managed to play a gaffer earlier today at least.

I feel sorry for all the Birdie players out there, every time I face one it is a free win for me. A lot of players are not good at punishing with him. Cammy players however are my biggest fear when playing as Karin since its hard to counter them, and be able to respond correctly to aggressive players. Unfortunately I have only met Fang once but it was intense since I do not know his move sets proper. A bit tired of all the Ryus.

Yeah you should. I ended up with tidying up or making food while waiting for a match to happen.

This goes for most players, but with SFV, you really gotta think about the person you are facing just as much as the character. Some Nashboyz like to wait for an opening and go in, others like to just rush down. Some focus on taking meter all round, and others focus on getting a good vtrigger to CA combo for most of their damage.
 
I'm really bummed about the online experience of this game so far. I only have one weekend off a month and if these problems persist the game is going on the shelf for awhile.
 
God, Nash's jumping spin kick attack is such a bitch move. I can't tell if it's a normal jump or that, so I always end up block agains't a cross up jumpin instead...
 
Sorry if you were that Nash I just played, D/c'd as I was beaten and now I can't get back on at all.

On the plus side, my input is much better on this TES instead of the Venom, so when I lose I have less shit to blame now.

Yeah sounds like I need to go into training mode with him to see what his options are. Helped me a lot doing the same with Karin (I main Vega).
 
Really curious if the servers are gonna catch up with all the data one day. Like w/l ratio, number of matches played, this offense, defense graph in your fighter profile etc.... still all blanks or n/a at all.
I hope the data up until that point when it shows your records isn't lost.
 
Can anyone recommend any good streams.

Really sad I can't play this till next Friday.

Getting ranked matches is a fucking joke tho.
 
My first winstreak and it doesn't record to the servers :(


It's really hard to loose muscle memory from other fighters and adapt to this one. But at least it's slowly getting better.

X360ce is a set it and forget deal, and doesn't take more than a minute or two to install, so you might as well do it now. Just remember to put it in the binaries folder, and not in the root of the SFV folder. And you'll need the 64 bit version.

Managed to go to level 30 on normal survival with Dhalsim. It was a piece of cake and then Dictator wrecked my ass on that very last fight. I'm not getting those colors ever right ? At least until they open the shop...

Yeah, I'm quitting ranked for now. Takes ages to find a match, and the rare games I win fails to send the score. Glad I at least got that 3 ranked streak achievement out of the way. I'll stick to GAF games for now, so I may actually learn something and don't have to stress about points.
 
Matchmaking has been so much better for me today - ended up with a win streak of 6! I know that getting your clock cleaned by much better players is a great learning tool but it's not so good for morale or my fightstick.

Loving this game so much.

I'm prob gonna stick to casual as well till ranked seems better. Still getting put against really low and really high LP players randomly. They you get a good win and it doesn't send the data.

It ends up making me feel frustrated more than anything. At least in a casual match its a fleeting frustration if you lose, but it's at yourself and not the randomness of the servers.

I wonder if casual will always have a decent player base because I would be tempted to stick to it seeing on how I doubt I will be paying anywhere near as much as the core players.

As long as I can play games where it feels roughly even most of the time I would happily play.
 
Ranked matchmaking is going fast for me, I've even got a filter for only 5 connection only too.

8 win streak... Because I told myself back to FE when I lose lol

Ranked is super fast for me on PC too.

I gave up on searching in Training mode, primarily due to it taking ~35 seconds to reload training mode after every match, just gets old. I just search from the menu now.


I've had 2 laggy/rollback heavy matches in about 75. It looks like the netcode is amazing when things are working, but falls back to shit if something goes wrong. Definitely needs a fix, but 2/75 really isn't the end of the world.
 
Was 50LP shy of bronze last night then went on a huge losing streak, lost 300LP....went to bed salty, should have quit after the first loss and regrouped in casuals but I'm too damn hardheaded haha
 
How do I purposely log out of these shitty servers? I don't want to wait minutes every time I want to get into training mode.

I beat a Vega earlier that only spammed a fast, unsafe slide attack and a crouched claw jab. All I had to do was block the slide, throw, repeat. You'd think he'd at least change up his strategy after a while. I was surprised he was bronze rank too and had a 6 win streak while I'm struggling getting out of rookie rank.

Yeah, it sucks because it has good range as well and being quick and powerful. It has everything going for it.

I feel like I'm having trouble deprogramming myself From Street Fighter 4. I only played Cody in 4 and now I can't stop myself from pushing buttons and expecting Cody things to come out. Has anyone else had this problem? How do I get past this? I've been playing Ryu, do I have to switch to a character that's less Cody-esque, like a charge character?
