800->600

i know that feel bro. today i am the worst sfv player.

Don't play on rank unless you feel you're in a really good pre-programed mood. That's how I got to silver and I'm ass in the game. Like if I were to go and play rank now, I'd probably drop to 1000.

This and don't keep playing when you recognize yourself start to tilt, when I'm playing ranked and start to feel it I just turn it off and either go do something else.

Played a long set against a friend, my Nash vs his Necalli. We kept going back and forth, sometimes I totally dominated the match, but others he would destroy me completely. I'll post a couple of matches as soon as they're uploaded. Necalli's normals are really good, I need to keep playing with my friend so I can try to figure out a better strategy.

Necalli has really great advantage on his normals but their range is really short. I have a really tough time against good chun lis for this reason. Nash's block strings also tend to put him a decent distance away so he can try to just outspace necalli.

If you have any advice for necalli players in this match up id love to hear it! Though my biggest problem is probably that I let too many moonsault through.

God I hope Ryu and Ken's at my level nevwr learn that Cammy's CA can hit whil they defensively spam fireballs from a screens length.

ugh, baiting the cpu

thanks for this, hopefully it works

let us know when you get your colors. i definitely need the light of hope lol
Just finished. Not too bad except for fucking Birdie. That could just be me though. Shit I almost lost to him on level 22 or 24. Haha.
I might try Hell mode tomorrow.
What's your CFN? I had an issue with someone before but it worked after I added them to my favorite.
Bukkakecakes. Yes it's gross, I know lol

I think this is the worst multiplayer launch I've come across, even Square Enix get the shit sorted quicker.

These people have some balls to say "connection issues have been resolved."

My friend would DP every moonsault attempt after a while, so I stopped going for those. Matches are almost uploaded so I'll post them soon.

Saying he struggles during some of his matchups seems more dependent on how the player is playing him and how the other person is playing their character. That isn't to say he WON'T struggle at all, but a Ryu who's focused on going in with stun is going play different than a Ryu who's focused on zoning, or a Ryu who's focused on countering everything all day. Obviously there aren't infinite ways to play every character here, but it feels a lot more open than, say, SF4, where you have a definite way of playing a character and therefore the matchups went one way (unless someone had new tech).

Like, my friend is a zoner Ryu, but he gets whooped by my Nash because I can grab his fireballs all day and hit the trigger. That isn't to say he can't just make his pacing different and go in more, but people should learn to switch up styles when they play for better results, I think. That's probably why I'm a big advocate of people playing other characters besides just one.

SF has historically been a match up based game and I don't think SFV is any different. Some characters just seem to counter others pretty well because of how their moves interact with each other. And that's why I said Ryu struggles against some because they have ways around his fireballs and beat him up close. These match ups are unwinnable or even that lop sided, but it's going to be harder for Ryu regardless of how the player plays the match up.

As for your friend, if he's only playing one style then he definitely needs to switch it up. I'm very very defensive in neutral against characters like Chun, Karin, Gief, or Mika for example. Honestly I've very defensive against most of the cast. But against some like Birdie, Nash, or Sim I feel like I have to go in. It's a combination of them being better on defense, me being better on offense, or I lose in both areas so I have to take more risk.

been taken out twice by fucking necalli as ryu, he just doesnt have the movement ken does and necalli keeps doing that fucking arial attack when I try to jump over as he keeps pressing me making hadoukens dangerous to use

6 win streak with Rashid and now in Bronze finally. After starting off so terribly I'm starting to pick things up.

Gonna make a battle lobby. DTGDeadlytaco password 1 if anyone wants to have some spars.

Yes. This has the best music of any Street Fighter game besides SFII.

Kinda disagree. III really gets better for whatever reason. the stage music in V is not much better than IV.

Can we please get region selection back. Facing Us/Canadians is almost always a lag fest for me. Barely get good games with people in Poland let alone further afield!

Guess you weren't around for Diablo 3, Battlefield 3 and 4, many, many much worse instances. I've been playing since launch pretty consistently.

These daily challenges or whatever better be giving out some serious coin because story and survival are the only ways to get any FM right now.

I still don't understand how winning a ranked match only gives 50FM. At least make it 1000 or something.
