Being able to disconnect after the K.O. is the dumbest part. You couldn't even do that in SF4.
Have they said anything about the ragequits?

He did a fullscreen EX Hooligan, he deserved the loss lol

Dude had a nice Cammy too, shame.
No, it was absolutely necessary with him being a punk-ass jive turkey!
BTW how do they disconnect to avoid loss?
Close the SFV application?
Yeah, or pull ethernet cable.BTW how do they disconnect to avoid loss?

It's gotta be a lot of work to manually disconnect your PS4/PC/reconnect it the reconnect and get back online. It's a lot of effort over something as trivial as a Street Fighter ranking so that you can play against players you clearly don't have the ability to compete against.
Seems like such a ridiculous thing to do.
EX Hooligan is great... for punish combosAnd it didn't even track properly because the move is dogshit.
Hold that thought and check back in late July.So I used to own SFIV (vanilla) but I sucked at it. None of my friends play it and online I always get my ass kicked. I did, however, had a lot of fun with SFIV just playing the stories on easy difficulties and stuff like that. Will I enjoy SFV? Is it easier to get in to and easier to learn(/master)?
I didn't like the fact that they kept re-releasing it with more stuff (the Turbo HD Arcade Hyper Fluffy Editions and stuff like that) because to me these don't feel like new games but like re-releases. SFV does this better by releasing the characters as individual DLC packs, but has it been confirmed that there will never be a Super Street Fighter V Turbo Hyper Toxic Banana Edition?
The game looks amazing and I really love the artstyle, but I'm not sure if it is for me gameplay wise. Since after getting my ass kicked 10 times in a row online I usually put the controller down, only to pick it up again after a couple months and getting my ass kicked all over again, haha.

My God, Dhalsim is so good in this game. Really makes me want to learn him all the more lol.
hope Capcom makes DC as a loss. even at EVO, a controller that loses connection is auto lose a round typically. and hope they can somehow go check on people's DC records and just wipe their LPs.
It weird right?
I wonder if the player thinks he can ragequit to the top...
SFV is much more forgiving as far as execution goes, but mastering it will be as hard as ever.So I used to own SFIV (vanilla) but I sucked at it. GGSending you a request. Anyone else down to play my name is xTaKeR
What do these guys do at RL tourneys (if they go at all)? Punch the wall, throw a stick?

In SFIV series a DC would cost you more than a loss, so it was always better to take the loss than DC, unless you wanted to screw the other guy out of win points.
Imo you should start now. Players are still new, game is great, better chance of finding fights on ur level.
Who knows what kind of data their garbage network records, in any case it's hardly gonna be enough to accurately distinguish actual offenders from the thousands of people getting rekt by their dollar store serversI hope Capcom manages to retroactively punish RQers. Like, they should have all the data right? Would love for these people to suddenly log in and be in some low priority hell. I doubt that's gonna happen though.
Sigh...
Well something has definitely changed since the adjustments Capcom made last night. I've just had four 5 bar connections in a row that have all been laggy as hell...

oh, could you elaborate? I never played SFIV online much to look into the penalties for DC.
Well lets just say a loss in SFIV would cost you -50 points, if you DCed you instead would lose about -90 points.
So if points were your goal, taking the loss was a better option.
If it's lagged beyond repair I just drop the controller and go to the bathroom or something, I'm not dealing with that shit but I'm not quitting either.what do you guys do when you start a match and it is LAGGED as fuck? you keep fighting? I keep fighting, but when it is really, really slow, I just have to quit, they might think it is rage quit, but I swear it is not. It is just impossible to play when it takes literally 6 seconds for an input to show up on screen

great, why didn't they implement this into SFV day one? so lame.
You'll never be able to do DPs on reaction with a motion like that. Much better to get the correct motion down now than get used to doing it wrong, even if it kinda works for you at the moment.
