I think people are a little confused considering this is as high, or higher, than any other recommended specs out there right now. It's fine if it's justified.
Recommended doesn't mean anything. It's completely arbitrary.

I dunno, specs do seem a bit high for a last gen remake. Gears Ultimate is no Rise of the Tomb Raider in the graphics dept, that's for sure.
wondering what exactly is going to scale beyond xbone other than res and framerate. hard to expect much from this particular title
We have no idea what the PC version will offer. Also, these aren't even guaranteed to be the final specs.
Another thing to consider is that the Xbox One version is running at 30 fps in the campaign. I would assume that the required specs are for 60 fps in both multi and campaign.
16 GB RAM and 4 GB VRAM needed in 2016? Ridiculous!
These so-called pc gamers lol

I'm wondering if some people in here are even PC Gamers. I'm glad I just know what I need to upgrade my PC to.

The whole thing.

Even in much higher resolution with some enabled FX on PC and better textures this game is not even looking that good to require 16 GB RAM and 4 GB VRAM, not to mention 60 GB HDD space. It's just redicilous.
Port to PC. Make PC ports horrible. Give people an incentive to buy an Xbox One. Genius!
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR 4K
Memory: 16 GB RAM (6+ GB VRAM)
Graphics: Geforce GTX 980 Ti or Radeon R9 390X
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
OS: 64 bit Windows 10 – version 1511
Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.7Ghz or AMD FX 6-core
Memory: 8 GB RAM (2 GB VRAM)
Graphics: Geforce GTX 650 Ti or Radeon R7 260x
Hard Drive: 60 GB available space
DirectX 12
Xbox One
OS: Windows Mess
Processor: AMD 8-core 1.75ghz -> 6 weak cores available for games
Memory: 8GB Shared DDR3 -> 5gb available for games
Graphics: Radeon ~7770?
Hard Drive: 45GB available space
Low level API
Because if you can't run the game on max settings then it is unoptimized. It doesn't matter what those settings are.
what are the chances of steam?
Might just be me (who doesn't look at Recommended Specs often), but that's the first time I've seen an SSD suggested.
Minimum Direct X12? Wut?
That's a lot of Raam.

It's a last generation game with a few new bells and whistles the original game didn't have. Nothing mind blowing.
"Nothing more than a few new bells and whistles" suggests, like, a couple replaced models and some new particle effects, lol. Look at the XBO shot earlier in the thread and tell me the release doesn't have a huge amount of replaced assets.
Was there a reason given for the PC delay? I thought this was meant to be out by now.
Why are games suddenly recommending 970's for console ports? That gpu is miles more powerful than either console.
Especially the Xbox One, how on earth does it need a 970 at 1080p when it runs at that on Xbox one.
Because they're adding stuff to the PC ports, and largely considering console equivalent settings to be on the low end of their specs.
I meet those specs, but they still seem abnomally high. Probably just MS covering their asses.
They don't seem high for 4K.
How is Gears multiplayer with a mouse anyways? Always seemed like a game designed around the controller.
And you would be wrong, maybe closer in power to the XB1 GPU, but certainly not the PS4 where it's GPU is much stronger than a 750Ti even.I always thought a 650 Ti was right about the range of the Xbox One/PS4. Could someone explain as to why the minimum specs listed are not close to what the consoles are running?

16 Gb for UE3 game? Looks like a joke to me..
...but certainly not the PS4 where it's GPU is much stronger than a 750Ti even.
Fury was a mistake.
Recomended settings are opaque... and everyone here is acting like it means X graphics at X framerate. We really... could not possibly know beyond that which is logically consistent. And no game runs like an xb1 with xb1 settings on a 970.
If the AMD difference for DX12 is really that large, that's nuts. A 390x being the recommended card on the AMD side for 4k vs a 980Ti on the Nvidia side. Not even the Fury
What equivalent PC GPU would you say a PS4's GPU is closer to?
