I tried opening some ports earlier, but I don't think that did anything to help my matchmaking issues. So yeah I'm stumped here. And I keep getting Asian lounges too lol.

Feel like I'm one of the sole Rashids online. Granted, I don't know quite how to use him myself. Anyone got any tips/decent vids for him?

Hard to say. Have you been setting the connection requirement to 4-5 bars? Thats what I usually set mine to and it hasn't failed me yet. At the very least, you can always purchase a netduma router and manually set the router to refuse player connections underneath a certain ping threshold.

How are you changing up your strategies after the opponent adapts to yours? This was my problem at first too, I just didn't change up my playstyle once I had been read in the first round.

I try to make changes, I'm even adapting to switching to defence and offense on the fly

I'm so fucking pissed off right now.. Lol

Who the fuck does wake up fireball. Ryu just did that to me, then CA after it. He then taunted me after. The first taunting fuck I came by in the game! Rah!! >:0

I'm having trouble beating people with R. Mika now who just out footsie me and jump and cross me up like a mad man. It's annoying as hell, I feel like I can't get my grab shenanigans on opponents anymore.

charged st.hk is perfect for someone who is getting very aggressive with their footsie pokes. You also have a fantastic normal AA (the bunnyhop), so you should be using that to shut down people who are trying to jump over your head.

Go into the training room, set one of the recordings to make the AI jump over you, and start practicing reacting to that with the bunnyhop AA. I actually think it makes the opponent flip back in close range, which is perfect for a command grab follow-up.

Favourites list is still broken, I see. Everyone who has the game that I know is apparently online and sat in the menu doing nothing. How curious. Capcom are a joke.

I might have to be the worlds first super aggressive fang. These fucks know exactly what I want and need to do and rush me. I'm going ham guys wish me luck lol.

Shoto fangboyz

It mostly because of salt but I really do wish in survival mode you could choose from a list of all the supplements instead of them being random after each round.

Nothing more frustrating than going through a tough match and of course ending up with the low health recovery option.

Some basic stuff I've picked up:
- Standing mk is his best poke
- s.mp is +2 on block, so a great frametrap is s.mp into c.mk xx light tornado. If s.mp hits, it also combos (you can go for light eagle spike as well, does more damage but you lose positioning)
- punish combo is c.hp -> s.mp xx EX eagle spike into mp or hp tornado (depending on spacing)
- s.hp crush counters, and a good combo is s.hp -> c.hp (one hit) into eagle spike.
- s.hk crush counters into an air spin, which can be comboed with super, s.hp, f.mp, etc.
- c.mp is his best anti-air, and should be cancelled into projectile (to force them into block when they land) or roll for the mixup (though they can jab out of it)
- s.lk is the antiair if they're too close for c.mp
- his super does 1 hit of massive chip, take advantage of that if you have the resources
- his overhead (f.hp) kinda sucks by itself, but you go FLYING if you do it through your v-trigger. Catches a lot of people, and if they instantly block high, you can always run up, stop and go low.

Sorry I just threw up information there. Whatever came to my head.

Haven't played in 2 days since I've beaten Normal Survival...I'm savoring the shit out of that victory.

I really just haven't had the time

I beat it as Laura and Ken fairly easily but struggled with Cammy for a few days. I finally cleared it last night as Cammy by just spamming HK Cannon Spike. I can't believe all you have to do is spam a DP. The A.I has no idea how to punish them. I was laughing and sad at the same time.

Oh btw guys, here's the full ranking.

Bronze 3 levels
Silver 3 levels
Gold 3 levels
Platinum 3 levels
Diamond 3 levels
Master
Grand Master
Ultimate Grand Master
Warlord
Hero

Lol, gonna be a long grind...

I've seen that. Used to frustrate me too. Then I got used to grabbing & overheading them free. You got options to beat them turtling. The moment you see them do it, go for broke.
I actually prefer playing against turtlers than button mashers. Turtles will let you go to town on them, button mashers will somehow manage to hit you with shit you don't expect, even if you beat them hard.

I 100% disagree with you.

The more knowledge you can feed a player the better. If it's all available there in game instead of forcing them to read forums and watch videos, then that is an amazing feature of a game. Sadly no fighter does this, and we are all set to go to the net to research tech.

Also, are you new to fighters? They may as well be a job to get good at one. The amount of time and practeeeeec it takes is insane.

Plus, if you are hella good it can pay bucks. Ask the dudes who placed a lot in USF4 last year at events and Capcom Pro Tour. Your 9-5 probably isn't netting you Daigo money. :P

You're not the real Gootechs are you, lol?

And no, I'm FAR from new at fighters. I've been there since the beginning. I'm aware of all the other stuff you mentioned, especially the money involved for tourney winnings and such. I literally just finished a research paper for school on the subject actually.

Also, Skullgirls had one of the best breakdown tutorials of a fighting game for their game that also applies to several others. Blazeblue and Guilty Gear Xrd also did well in this accord. But even still, some of the applications of everying just comes thru practice and experiece with real opposition anyway and can't outright be laden in a tutorial to know. Reading players and situations and such, part of it just has to become an instinct.

I will continue to sing this game's praises until the day that I die. God fucking dammit I love this game.

I never realized how much I disliked about SFIV. Kind of hate to say that because I did have a lot of fun with it. But looking back it didn't really teach you so much about playing Street Fighter itself. Eventually it was just teaching you how to play SFIV.

Five is just so fucking real man.
