My face when I match against a Dhalsim player

Your throws beat hers.

"let me try and use a command throw" *laura jumps*

Litterally everytime. I swear I don't understand it, it's like people I play a psychic when it comes to this. Like I don't use it a lot because it rarely works. But let's say I'm having a match, haven't don't command throw at all first round, get a jumpin second round and go for a command throw, without fail the other person will jump it

Im constantly getting thrown after Ryu jumps in with a kick and i block it. Am I just supposed to guess if he'll throw or continue the block string? It's wrecking me.
Right now just auto throw tech a split second after jump-in block. Accept his jabs as his light confirm options are blah.

Hello, I'm a 23 year old male looking for volunteers to slap me in the face every time i FUCKING JUMP WHEN I DON'T NEED TO. How do I unprogram this?!

Use a controller with a broken up button?

Seriously though, I got better at footsies because I always ended up with the cheap dual shock controller that would not read directional inputs reliably.

People expect a grappler to grab when they're under th gun. Same as you expect a ken or ryu to dp.

Hey what do you guys think best V trigger is? Nothin beats Necalli's in my book. Great visual effect, solid damage buffs, and g damn that dash speed! Just wish I could master v trigger combos...

I'm biased but Bison's is amazing. Cancelling into it mid-combo and then doing a huge chain of EX moves is just demoralizing to anybody on the receiving end. Teleporting devil reverse has edged out many a win for me. It's a bit weird getting used to what it does to his scissor kicks, but that just makes it more interesting. Also the hitbox on psycho power EX ball is bonkers.

After playing my little brother who was able to do Karen and Laura's devastating combos the first time ever playing SFV and just mashing buttons, I'm starting to feel a little elitist towards Laura and Karen. I don't wanna use the word "scrub characters" but...

I mean, here I am with Nash dropping all sorts of crucial combos while these characters can do moves that act as whole combos but with just a fireball motion and an extra button press to finish it even more devastatingly.

Maybe I'm wrong and there's something I'm not seeing, but I feel like I have to work harder with Nash than they do to get similar results.

Bison can do 80% of your health off of two combos during his V-Trigger, so I'm going to say Bison.

Managed to score quite a few ranked battles tonight:
• Win (stolen by rage quit)
• Loss (opponent ranks up)
• Loss (opponent ranks up)
• Loss (demoralizing mirror match)
• Loss
• Win (stolen by server error)

I can't help but smile. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to cry myself to sleep.

Should I play ranked? I am not good at this game. When I say not good, I mean horrid. Is there a downside to just playing casual?

None. You get 100FM on Wins like ranked. Just no ranked/deranked pressure.

Though, you might get paired up with someone that is WAYYY higher than you in terms of skill.

On the plus side, I did alright today.

Went from rank 33k to 55k a few days ago because I started playing casual for a couple of days and didn't play yesterday and got pushed back basically due to inactivity in ranked.

Today I went from 55k to 16k. I think I kinda lit it up a little bit.

lost like 300 points today to 2 laggy random silver players. Feels bad man.

Probably gonna call it a day. The skill-based matchmaking seems pretty borked today when it was working good for me last night. Was getting nothing but gold players to fight against.

Huh... wiki says -3/-8 wtf

That data is taken as if Sim starts the slide right next to you i think

Since he doesn't, it changes, becomes safer the later he hits you in the slide.

I really dig Mika's. It immediately makes people stop pressing buttons. Too bad her v-skill fucking sucks.

I press more buttons when she activates lol

Mika almost always goes in when she does it in a dumb way

Has Capcom said anything about the whole 'favorite player list showing wrong status'? Like, it'll say my buddy is in ranked match when in reality he's not even online.

Gotcha. Make sense. Occasionally I am getting paired with people who perfect KO me. Not often, but sometimes I am just in awe. I literally can't anything, or so I think at my skill level.

Guys. Is it wrong that when I got matched up with someone with a 22 win streak I immediately assumed he was a ragequitter and and opted out before the match even begun? I blame Capcom.

Either way it's wise to just leave that situation.

If not a quitter, 22 win streak means you have a good chance at giving him 23.

I really dislike the blocked jump into a must-throw-tech thing thats going on in the game. Its just not interesting or funx its just obnoxious.

Well I mean I have no problem with losing to someone legitimately, I just dont want to waste my time playing someone while the whole time thinking in my head if I win the guys just going to DC on me. What have they done to me.

That's the exact same thing as being a rage quitter

Meet the same 3.6k ryu player twice in a row. Able to litterally fuck all to him both times. Ryu is just a fucking wall if played well

I would see how they play first. Usually it's pretty easy to tell if they're gonna rage quit on you.
