Wish the post match stuff didn't take so long. I don't need to see all that shit every single match
Guys, this is super, super, super stupid, but I want to learn a new character because Dhalsim might be too good. I'm a reverse tier wh_re and it's making me feel bad about the people I poke to death from across the screen, lol.
What I do, is i set it to look for matches in practice mode. Then after a online match, I use the ps4 browser to check in here and it loads me back in practice in the meantime. Helps me a bit
Yeah, I'm a Mika player.
I'm sure I've run into you, actually. You that Ryu who always counters everything I do?
Why do you think I have so many posts in here?
I get like a minute of nothing to do between matches
Unrelated - What's the course of action to take after attempting a jumpin on Birdie, and he does it anti air and I land right in front of him? I try to press a button or jump and I get crush countered, I sit and block I will get grab after 1-2 jabs...
I guess so, since the game came out I've been looking to see what I can do to counter moves that all the different characters use. During the beta I got bodied by many Mika players because I didn't know what to do against the charged drop kick. I quickly realize that it's easy to react to with a parry for a big punish.
When the game came out, I faced many Mika players that kept using her slide against me. So I checked the frame data and realized how unsafe it was. Even if it hits late at near max range, it seems like I can always do cr. LP > DP to punish it. If I'm remember our match correct, I notice you were using it when you were close enough. So I just waited for it so I could punish.
Yeah, I mean, I lose plenty of times (I'm terrified of Cammy and Karin the most, lol), but my best friend mains Gief... and jeez. I know it's dumb and irrational, but I prefer playing mid or low tier characters.Stick to Sim, because pretty soon you'll run into people who will chase you down relentlessly and you won't be able to get away fast enough.
How do you lose to Mika players? Like, what do they do, because as Mika player myself, I consider Ryu's that parry the worst matchup currently.
So Bisons V-trigger mode, how the fuck do you deal with his teleporting jumpin overhead move? Seems litterally impossible to react to
Right now, I'm not losing often. Even guys with really high LP struggle against me. But I was losing a lot during the beta and the first 2-3 days after the game came out because I had no clue what I was up against. Like I said, the charged drop kick was owning me and Mika players were basically sliding for free because I would just punish with a jab or two not knowing how unsafe it was.
If they're dying from poking across the screen thats their own damn fault cause that ain't even what makes Sim so good.Guys, this is super, super, super stupid, but I want to learn a new character because Dhalsim might be too good. There are two different animations. If he does EX he will disappear immediately and come straight down, so that is a normal high block (note that when you block this he's going to land right in front of you with slight advantage and will likely press a button, so your options are to block low to avoid the counterhit, throw if you think he's going to go for grab, or use a reversal fast / invincible enough to beat out his options). If he does not do EX he will have the normal jump-esque travel arc; if he disappears during this arc it means he hit Devil's Reverse, and you have to block the opposite direction because it always goes to the other side in V-Trigger.
All Casual, Ranked and Battle Lounge fights get stored on your Fighter's Profile. Not sure how many exactly per category, but I think it's somewhere in between 30 - 50 each. Open the menu up from there and you can save them inside CFN's Replay folder.

I'm not dropping him unless he becomes super common and it becomes the consensus that he's kind of unfairYou're playing the snow leopard of sfv. Don't let sim go extinct ! Remind people they actually need to know ALL the match ups.
Does your avatar have back boobs?
I said I'm a reverse tier whore, because as I said, it makes me a bit uncomfortable to play top tiers (for many reasons - it's cool to play underrated characters, and I don't feel like I'm good enough to make the most out of the best characters, for example). I didn't say maining a top tier makes anyone a tier whore, lol.Playing a character that is high tier doesn't make you a tier whore. Being a tier whore is picking characters you normally wouldn't pick because they are good. If you were playing sim since the beginning then that doesn't make you a tier whore. Can we stop with that dumb shit please?
How do I become the dude jumping in and being annoying? I'm way waaaay too passive so I sit there anti airing and waiting for openings the size of buses. Also my oki sucks

I need to work on dp crush counters. It doesn't matter how many I bait out if I'm only getting one hit in. Is there a go to one for necalli ?

I think its, Crush Counter, st. HPxx m. stomp, cr. MP, lp. rush move (idk the name)
Yup, not dropping him unless he truly turns out to be an unbalanced, unfair mess. I endured his SFIV days, I'm entitled to his current selfOnce again, the game is not even a month old, this is pretty meaningless right now anyway.
Probably the only thing worse than a tier whore.I said I'm a reverse tier whore, because as I said, it makes me a bit uncomfortable to play top tiers (for many reasons - it's cool to play underrated characters, and I don't feel like I'm good enough to make the most out of the best characters, for example). Yeah, I prefaced this whole thing by saying it's really stupid and irrational, but I do like it when my mains turn out to be mid or low tierNothing he has is unbalanced like I don't even understand where you are getting the slightest idea that he might be unbalanced at all. He has strengths and weaknesses this ain't no Ivan Ooze type shit.
Can't help it, bruhProbably the only thing worse than a tier whore.
Just fought a guy called "WhensVF6" lol
Does anyone else have issues firing off ex attacks? I can do my CA no issue (I do it by accident 90% of the time) but can never get an ex fired off when I need it.
Yeah, I prefaced this whole thing by saying it's really stupid and irrational, but I do like it when my mains turn out to be mid or low tierI've still played high characters like Ultra Rose and even Alpha 2 Chun back in the day.
Can't help it, bruhFor a recent example, I dropped Tanya in MKX even though I was super hyped for her.
Also, playing a character that no ones knows how to fight is a legit advantage and I'm pretty sure I've gotten some tourney victories because of this. Again, I don't think it's wrong to play any character and I don't john when I'm bodied by anyone, but it feels nice playing a mid or low character and being told "man, your [___] is so good!".If you win "See you don't need a High tier character to win" and then when you lose "Well my character isn't all that great".
But when you play your character in a mirror match it's like "oh shit I rarely play my character."Also, playing a character that no ones knows how to fight is a legit advantage and I'm pretty sure I've gotten some tourney victories because of this.
