Yeah or have to go back to the main menu, the game should just already be finding a match after the one just ends, wishful thinking I guess. That should come in an update.

Guys, this is super, super, super stupid, but I want to learn a new character because Dhalsim might be too good. I'm a reverse tier wh_re and it's making me feel bad about the people I poke to death from across the screen, lol.

Wish the post match stuff didn't take so long. I don't need to see all that shit every single match

What I do, is i set it to look for matches in practice mode. Then after a online match, I use the ps4 browser to check in here and it loads me back in practice in the meantime. Helps me a bit

Stick to Sim, because pretty soon you'll run into people who will chase you down relentlessly and you won't be able to get away fast enough.

Why do you think I have so many posts in here? :P

I get like a minute of nothing to do between matches

Unrelated - What's the course of action to take after attempting a jumpin on Birdie, and he does it anti air and I land right in front of him? I try to press a button or jump and I get crush countered, I sit and block I will get grab after 1-2 jabs...

So I play a guy in a first to 2 battle lounge. He beats me with gimmicks. We play again, and the download is complete, I body him first game. He rage quits. Wow.

Rage quit during a battle lounge, with absolutely nothing on the line. GG.

Yeah, I'm a Mika player.

I'm sure I've run into you, actually. You that Ryu who always counters everything I do?

I guess so, since the game came out I've been looking to see what I can do to counter moves that all the different characters use. During the beta I got bodied by many Mika players because I didn't know what to do against the charged drop kick. I quickly realize that it's easy to react to with a parry for a big punish.

When the game came out, I faced many Mika players that kept using her slide against me. So I checked the frame data and realized how unsafe it was. Even if it hits late at near max range, it seems like I can always do cr. LP > DP to punish it. If I'm remember our match correct, I notice you were using it when you were close enough. So I just waited for it so I could punish.

I just didn't know the ps4 could load in the background so it blew my mind, lol. Also, no clue. As necalli, i try to play more like a shoto against grapplers.

How do you lose to Mika players? Like, what do they do, because as Mika player myself, I consider Ryu's that parry the worst matchup currently.

Got a ton of fun / hard Chun tech clips I've been finding while I have no actual internet to play the game. So when my net comes back expect some impractical stuff to challenge your execution.

Yeah, I mean, I lose plenty of times (I'm terrified of Cammy and Karin the most, lol), but my best friend mains Gief... and jeez. I know it's dumb and irrational, but I prefer playing mid or low tier characters.

So Bisons V-trigger mode, how the fuck do you deal with his teleporting jumpin overhead move? Seems litterally impossible to react to

Right now, I'm not losing often. Even guys with really high LP struggle against me. But I was losing a lot during the beta and the first 2-3 days after the game came out because I had no clue what I was up against. Like I said, the charged drop kick was owning me and Mika players were basically sliding for free because I would just punish with a jab or two not knowing how unsafe it was.

There are two different animations. If he does EX he will disappear immediately and come straight down, so that is a normal high block (note that when you block this he's going to land right in front of you with slight advantage and will likely press a button, so your options are to block low to avoid the counterhit, throw if you think he's going to go for grab, or use a reversal fast / invincible enough to beat out his options). If he does not do EX he will have the normal jump-esque travel arc; if he disappears during this arc it means he hit Devil's Reverse, and you have to block the opposite direction because it always goes to the other side in V-Trigger.

So I asked this question a few pages back but had no reply thought I would ask it again here. I have been playing this game via mayflash Saturn Virtua stick to PC which is remapped using JoyToKey and I have been enjoying myself. I know this isn't the best way to go however and I find that I really do enjoy a fight stick when playing. I ordered a SFIV TE1 for 88$ today and I was wondering if I made the right move in regards to quality and compatibility with SFV. I think that was a half decent price to pay for the product as I really wanted something within that 100$ range.

I understand that some sticks aren't working right now but my platform is the PC so I was hoping that I can either have an easy work around with no loss in gameplay or a patch. Is anyone else using this stick? How well do these madcatz TE's hold up over time? What should I expect? I have found some reviews and such online but no one really talking about using it on PC or for SFV. I am really enjoying the game thus far and the excellent neogaf fight community has added to that enjoyment, glad to be a part of this!

My fight ID or whatever is ReddFox so feel free to add me, I'm really enjoying Laura and Ken atm. I am by no means a pro.. but I do enjoy the challenge of getting better.

yeah. Seems like you could punish a blocked c.HK by taking a lunch break then coming back to whoop her ass on a full stomach

If they're dying from poking across the screen thats their own damn fault cause that ain't even what makes Sim so good.

You're playing the snow leopard of sfv. Don't let sim go extinct ! Remind people they actually need to know ALL the match ups.

Good to know, thanks

Cammy you beautiful son of a bitch.

There is nothing more intense and fun than a ranked match of SFV. Especially now that I can hold my own. I'm countering like a champ, defending the air like an F-18, and I'm aggressive enough to scare my opponents.

Silver here I come.

All Casual, Ranked and Battle Lounge fights get stored on your Fighter's Profile. Not sure how many exactly per category, but I think it's somewhere in between 30 - 50 each. Open the menu up from there and you can save them inside CFN's Replay folder.

Thanks! (Sorry for the late reply - this thread doesn't mess about.)

As it stands right now, is there anything story-based to 'beat' in Street Fighter V? I think I read that there are 3 match stories for each character.

It's ready for pickup from the library, but I'm not sure if I should bother given the lack of SP content.

Wish the post match stuff didn't take so long. I don't need to see all that shit every single match

Does your avatar have back boobs?

I'm not dropping him unless he becomes super common and it becomes the consensus that he's kind of unfair :P But I do want to learn a mid or low character as well. This is all meaningless right now anyway since the game just came out.

Playing a character that is high tier doesn't make you a tier whore. Being a tier whore is picking characters you normally wouldn't pick because they are good. If you were playing sim since the beginning then that doesn't make you a tier whore. Can we stop with that dumb shit please?

I said I'm a reverse tier whore, because as I said, it makes me a bit uncomfortable to play top tiers (for many reasons - it's cool to play underrated characters, and I don't feel like I'm good enough to make the most out of the best characters, for example). I didn't say maining a top tier makes anyone a tier whore, lol.

How do I become the dude jumping in and being annoying? I'm way waaaay too passive so I sit there anti airing and waiting for openings the size of buses. Also my oki sucks

I have the same problem, I feel like I always get destroyed when I try to go in. So I play super defensive and end up blocking so much I get thrown constantly.

If you like a character then use him fuck that "well this character is good so I shouldn't use him" bullshit. Plus you're acting as if Sim is a super popular character to use not too many people even use him.

Yup, not dropping him unless he truly turns out to be an unbalanced, unfair mess. I endured his SFIV days, I'm entitled to his current self :P Once again, the game is not even a month old, this is pretty meaningless right now anyway.

Gah, why is it everyone else seems to be able to just press buttons all day and get easy crush counters from it.

Bison - "oh hey mika, let me just knock you down easily and either crush counter you or throw you on wake up, you won't mind, right? Afterall, you have no way of dealing with it *queue evil bison laugh*"

Agree. Necalli was supposedly shit tier when I decided to main him. Alucard flipping the street fighter world on its ear has nothing to do with me.

Nothing he has is unbalanced like I don't even understand where you are getting the slightest idea that he might be unbalanced at all. He has strengths and weaknesses this ain't no Ivan Ooze type shit.

Probably the only thing worse than a tier whore.

Yeah, I prefaced this whole thing by saying it's really stupid and irrational, but I do like it when my mains turn out to be mid or low tier :P I've still played high characters like Ultra Rose and even Alpha 2 Chun back in the day.

Can't help it, bruh :( For a recent example, I dropped Tanya in MKX even though I was super hyped for her.

Does anyone else have issues firing off ex attacks? I can do my CA no issue (I do it by accident 90% of the time) but can never get an ex fired off when I need it.

Are you trying to input the 2P / 2K manually? It's possible you're just not getting the two buttons close enough to the same time that you get a single P / K special. Could consider using the 3P / 3K macro buttons to fire EX attacks (assuming you aren't on a 6 button stick or pad) just to ensure you always get the EX.

If you win "See you don't need a High tier character to win" and then when you lose "Well my character isn't all that great".

The salt and the successes of ranked. Fluctuated between 2400 and 2800 LP today, learning new tech in how to blow matches. Floe would be like "man, how you choke so much, you choking choker you". Finally settled down after a while and got back to where I was before stopping to watch WNF.

I just need to keep grinding and get more consistent.

Also, playing a character that no ones knows how to fight is a legit advantage and I'm pretty sure I've gotten some tourney victories because of this. Again, I don't think it's wrong to play any character and I don't john when I'm bodied by anyone, but it feels nice playing a mid or low character and being told "man, your [___] is so good!".

Does anybody know why my replays aren't saving and uploading? Only one match I've ever fought (in a battle lounge) has been uploaded online.

But when you play your character in a mirror match it's like "oh shit I rarely play my character."
