Sorry if this has already been covered, but has Capcom talked about how they are going to deal with balance patches? I hope they do yearly balance patches for all characters (if necessary) and don't go the route of micromanaging every character through multiple patches throughout the year, unless something is in dire need of fixing.

That's the current plan.

How am I supposed to react to anything when the opponent teleports next to me from half screen?

Heaven forbid a developer just license GGPO instead of halfheartedly reinventing the wheel.
Make the Japanese documentation and provide Japanese support for ggpo and I'm sure capcom would love to use it
 
Her charging force kick is plus on block, yeah. Kinda has to be; it's one of her only means of direct approach.

Makes sense. And she has that belly flop attack that beats anti air normals. Shes definitely one of the scariest characters to fight up close at the moment.
 
I just played someone in Super Silver who jumped around like crazy with ryu, attacked a few times and then tried to cross up again. I was asking myself how this guy could have possibly gotten so far and he gave me the only plausible and expected answer in the second once his life was almost completely depleted :D
But I got to admit, at first this caught me completely off guard and he got way more hits in than he should have.

I also played someone with a noticeable higher rank in casuals and won (although I doubt he took it too serious). I'm way less anxious in casuals and am actually able to think about my options instead of mostly reacting and panicking. I really need to work on this, sadly this is a recurring problem for me with almost every new (competitive) game.

Most characters can easily hit her while she's in the air with jabs, who are you using?
 
On this HRAP4 and can't get the QCFx2 motion for Necalli's super out on the left side to save my life, but it's coming out a lot easier on the right. Is it just because I rarely use a stick? Will the motions come out over use, or will it always be a struggle?

They'll click eventually. I'm hoping controllers will click for me one day. :V

I had that same problem. Just took a lot of practice to get the hang of doing it from the left side. Right side for me just flows easier.

Yup that's normal just practice on the side you have the most trouble on.

Swear to God, I played that guy 2 days ago... He had a 15 win streak going and was only in Super Bronze at the time...

He took the first round on me with the crazy jumping around shit... Was not prepared to face something so batshit insane...
 
its taking a while for me to match make and the lag can be really bad. I am really disappointed with this game. the fighting is absolutely ten out of ten but I am just deeply gutted with the rest of it. I wish sony never pushed for this game to be made yet, I would have been ignorant and living blissfully with SF iv

Nah, I couldn't do that. SF4 bored me to the point where I couldn't even watch the matches. I would've rather played SFxT over it.
 
Match making has been great for me the past couple of nights. Rarely more than 2 minutes. Hardly time to do anything in training before I'm in a new match. I've had it search both casual and ranked, and I'm in the US (Atlanta, GA area).
 
Anyone else having the problem that they only play against opponents with more LP?

I've literally played the last 15 matches against opponents with up to 1000 LP more than me. Not a single one had less.

I've had matches where they were 500 higher than me, but also where I had more. Its been somewhat even matchmaking for me so far today.
 
Silver League at last. The rage quit army makes it a hard task.

I am willing now to switch to Vega and just go back to bronze to learn him as I don't feel my Bison can do the silver to gold trip.

Is there really no way to add someone directly to my "favorites" from a battle lounge? This interface and the online systems in general of this game are just so fucking poor sometimes.
 
Imagine the servers if this game accualy sold 2 millions as they hoped lol.

It was bad for me until Tuesday. The maintenance Monday night seemed to help a lot with matchmaking speed.

I don't expect that I can do this trip with any character (at least for a while), so once I hit silver I started picking other characters again. Oddly enough I do extremely well with Birdie even though I have no clue what I'm doing. His buttons are soo good. My Kung Fu is still ass however and this actually bothers me quite a bit :/
 
I wonder if Rashid has any moves that lets him low profile the dropkick.

I jumped into training super quick and I think standing fierce is a good counter. You get a crush counter and can follow up with a roll kick, and if it's in the corner he can do fierce mixer or even super.
