I'm getting five translations from sanskrit: sounding, roaring, whistling, mooing and thundering, which is it?

We're going out for lunch at The Monk and an early end to the day in 1 1/2 hours, I'd gif myself drinking a pint of their excellent beer if I knew how.

Well its a mix of my name and one of my last names so none of those. I like roaring, whistling and thundering tho so you can choose any of those.

I finally got SF5 and all i use is her just for that laugh. Love her
Embrace the queen.

Guys. This isn't about Aziz. This is about there actually are people like Rachel in real life and complaining about them not existing is silly and ignorant.

But also I think Aziz is funny so screw you guys.

So many people have beat me to it that it's not even worth mentioning how boring Aziz Ansari is.

He's hit and miss for me, but I remember his Randy character in funny people was amazing, in the movie he had short screen time but during the months leading up to the movie he released RANDY videos and they were hilarious

I wanna make gifs of myself, haters gonna hate walk is still great , I shall do it

I don't actually give a shit

I don't have time to be romantically entangled now anyway despite being a ridiculous romantic.

Did the same a while back and didn't get an aka tag.

I requested a new tag a while ago. Not that I myself particularly care, but I keep getting really weird PMs for GAF members that think I'm the devil for not being pro-piracy.

.

Keep that "girls are icky" crap at least to a minimum, please.

Truth. People like that are out there. It's just a matter of meeting them.

One time I had a "tv show level" experience with a girl. It was in Europe while I was on a train from Paris to Munich. She sits down next to me, we start chatting, flirtation and chemistry is there, awkward pauses with smiles, the whole nine yards. Except she was getting off at a stop before Munich. Me being dumb and not thinking straight decided I couldn't miss my hostel reservation so we just said goodbye and I stayed on the train. She even did the whole "look back through the window and wave" as she walked away.

I still kick myself sometimes for not getting off that damn train.

Kind of reminds me of the time I met this girl with a squirtle name tag while I wore a charizard one at a show the girl I actually like was playing.

That was some always sunny level shit.

liliththepale: is your job as meditative as it looks?

It can be, though some of the appeal is lost because we use big loud metal machines instead of quaint wooden frames. Our manual screen printing machine looks like this:

Then there's the automatic machine, which looks like this:

And sometimes, for different jobs, I use this printer:

Then it all goes through this huge conveyor dryer:

Yeah, that seems a little less therapeutic.
How are the screens themselves created? Is it a manual process or done by computer?

I'm glad you asked!

The artwork is separated into different colors in Illustrator or Photoshop. Each color gets printed in black on a transparency. The screens themselves are basically plastic meshes between 110 and 300 dpi stretched taut and glued onto an aluminum frame. Screens have to be prepped with an emulsion fluid which is some kind of semifluid polymer that dries with exposure to UV light, so we spread a couple of thin coats onto a bunch of screens at a time and store them in a dark, air-conditioned cabinet.

When we're ready to use one of the screens, we take the transparency printed with the silhouette of the per-color art and scotch tape it in place on the screen, then quickly stick the screen into a UV chamber like the one below. It bakes for about six minutes, exposing all of the emulsion except the parts that the transparency blocks out. This essentially creates a stencil, but it has to be punched out because there's still semifluid in the parts where the light didn't touch. So that soft resin gets blasted out with a pressure washer. Then usually we air dry the screens because blasting it out got it all wet and manually drying them takes work.

That is damn cool. Thanks for typing all that up.
Whenever I see a screen printed tee I'm going to think about the process that went into making it now.

The screen creation process reminds me of computer chip lithography a lot. Just with resin and UV instead of copper and acid.

Screen printing is amazing. My uncle owns a T-shirt shop in Kalamazoo. Great place.

Also, some guy just called me about Army. He got my number from Steam. What? How?
