I just fought a guy who was a silver ranked chun li and he was so garbage it was embarrassing, he absolutely had to have been a cheater who just learned of the punishment so he switched over to casuals

Damn this game is so glorious! I am having much more fun fighting gaffers where we play around with all characters than doing it ranked. Learning a lot from just getting better with half the cast. It can notice an improvement with myself when it comes to blocking and reacting appropriately.

I will say I am now a Ken believer (wasnt crazy about his changes before, but enjoying them now) as he is pretty fun to play as. Just difficult to combo with while running. Still got nothing on mah Karin but its fun to try to be able to play several characters. Just need to get better with Necalli (hard to do combos with) and Fang.

FindMyFarms RQ too. Haven't been seeing him post lately but he was active a lot when SF4 was out so that's shitty to see.

Does walking back and forth messes with the rollback or something? I see everyone starts doing that when they're out of range, then their character starts teleporting. It's pretty annoying.

That's common to do in neutral actually, but if the connection isn't great then it looks super jerky and annoying.

Just for reference, 1200LP seems to be my ceiling for now, playing off and on the last 3 days. Maybe if I switch back to FANG from Birdie, I climb past that, dunno. And I didn't even use Mika at in Ranked at all and she's actually my main! No big deal either way. I might whip out Vega to try and learn him. Not since SF2 on the SNES have I wanted to try and learn so many characters so fast. Love this game. Oh, and I want to go back to my OG main from way back, Ryu! Would be first time in years.

Please teach me. I get to 30 with Mika and it all falls apart.

I'm so jealous, any tips?

So I was all set to upload the last 15 minutes of my Survival mode run, but I didn't know that archived footage got lost the second you left the Share Button menu. So I guess that's lost now, oh well.

Anyways, R. Mika Survival (Hard) tips:

1. Starting the match with a charged HK can be useful to close in the distance and, if you're lucky, actually hit them and continue with the standard LK > MP > shooting peach. Maybe don't do this against Dhalsim, since he likes to hit you out of it. Works more often than not, but slightly risky.

2. Birdie's a piece of shit. Might be one of the most difficult opponents to face on this run. From stage 30 onwards, backdash the hell away and definitely let him approach you. If you think the distance is right, fully charge HK and, if that hits, continue with the standard combo (or forward MP into Passion Rope Throw > backdash into whatever if you're fancy). Then backdash the hell away again. Rinse repeat. Never ever wanted to be anywhere close to him.

3. Cross-ups are important for a lot of opponents. Especially Bison, who has mind read powers. Whenever the distance is right or if they're knocked down, use the jump LK cross-up and continue with MP > HP > Shooting Peach. I went for the EX shooting peach a bunch to maximize damage, even if it took the opponent away from the corner. I'd recommend not going for this against Cammy and Laura, who will anti-air consistently and give you a bad time.

4. The go-to move during this run is, when the opponents are knocked down, straight jump and j.HP as low to the ground as possible to hit them. More often than not, they won't block so you can continue with MP > HP > Shooting Peach. Do this for every single opponent, including Laura and Cammy. Not Birdie, or stage 4X Zangief.

5. Never go for a command grab. The AI will always mind read that shit on later stages and you'll have a bad time.

Got almost all your life left? High and Max Health Recovery.

Final stage or close to it with low life? Low Health Recovery.

Fuck this!

I feel like there aren't many good Fang's out there. Idk know why... I've even beaten one that was way out of my league. Maybe he's just not a strong character.
