I think it's time I took a bow out of that Gira/Larkin rape thread. I'm getting too involved, but it just pisses me off seeing people automatically assume Gira is guilty because Larkin simply said he did. That doesn't fucking make it true. I've seen first hand what false rape claims can do to a person, and yet nobody seems to care. Someone screams rape and they're automatically believed. It's fucked up.

Bought a 360 pad for $25 in like 2008 or 2009 and it's been the best thing ever.
I've been thinking of replacing it as even though I got those thumb grips to go over the worn sticks, debating between an xbox one or another 360 wired. It's hard to pick, I hate the sticks on the Xbox One compared to the 360, but the triggers are really nice.
from my perspective, the xbox one pad is evil! :: kills younglings::
honestly though the shitty bumpers really hurt the XB1 pad for me -- that said, I only have a launch one, I heard they made improvements at some point.

I disagree. They fixed the dpad and improved the ergonomics a lot. I never liked the narrow triggers or super thin bumpers on the 360 pad. I also appreciate the new texture on top of the thumbsticks.
Most likely hand size. Xbox ones are too big for me. Sony has been getting it right for awhile.

That's true 360's is mushy garbage. I never use it though.
I think the DS3 is terrible -- Just awful. The shape is completely un-ergonomic. (At some point they must have consciously traded innovation and comfort for continuity. Glad they dropped that shit for PS4) I don't know how that ranks in between X1 and 360 since those two -- despite some noted differences -- are similar.
In any case did they fix the bumpers on XB1? On my launch controller, the bumpers are very rigid feeling and require inordinate pressure to click in, as opposed to the 360 bumpers which are more run of the mill buttons.
I know they also added a headphone jack to it... I was actually looking for it the other day and found the hard way the launch pads ain't got it. Early adopter pain.
edit: I have average to slightly above average hands and find the DS4 perfect. (now I'm curious to look up what the average hand measurements actually are)

They have fixed the bumpers, triggers, d-pad, sticks, missing headphone jack, and grips. It's feels like an entirely different controller compared to my launch one.

It's true. I have small hands. No shame there!
I give the DS3's form some leeway because of its legacy. Like no one would complain about the NES controller being unergonomic even though it totally is. Growing up on DualShocks afforded a lot of forgiveness.
I've heard about the bumpers on the One pad and I seem to remember bearing similar grievances when I first tried it at an in-store demo. The console I just got last night was pre-owned so I can't easily tell whether it's original or not, but I can say that I don't have any problem with the bumpers now. It has the headphone jack so it's probably new.
Looks like my hand length is about 8.25" (if I'm doing it right, I think I am) and according to internets the average man is 7.4".
Makes sense because I'm 6'2", I guess. Sounds about right
