Iast Friday I started at 904. Kept getting matched with Super and Ultra Bronzes (and a couple of Rookies and Bronzes) and eventually my LP was whittled down to Rookie. Won a match and went back up to Bronze. Very next match I was set up against a Silver player.

Yesterday I had another rough go with being matched up with people 1-2 leagues ahead of me but not as bad as Friday.

Matchmaking is very spotty from my experience
 
I helped 2 people rank up to super bronze today.... and I hate that!

I also went from 503LP to 643LP and I'm cool with that.

...I guess I broke even?

Yea its been woking fine for me too with difference at around 500lp or so max. Sometimes pretty long quoes tho that makes no sence given meeting same player several games in a row sometimes,

But a 8200 vs a 1700.. Thats just ridiculus. Imagine if that mm happens in a game where games dont take 2mins.
 
Finally got through normal survival on Cammy. Shame the color I want is from hard, in which I was immediately bopped by the Bison at 14. Fuck Bison, fuck Capcom, that is all.
 
When you set a dummy recording is it possible to hide that window that shows what recording is playing back? My eyes tend to drift to it and it defeats the purpose of what in trying to train specifically on since I know which recording is playing.

Yea man this was the rashid player I was talking about earlier. Couldn't get a single hit in.


Going to try uploading some vids on YouTube when I go against these type of players

GG's, if I made you work, I made you work for a beatdown then lol. Some notes that I was constantly thinking about

-You're not letting anyone dash in on you, you're constantly hitting buttons. I started fishing for counter hits because of this. A lot of bad confirms though just because I saw st. MP hit
-You were reading me correctly a lot, I ate so many jump ins. About a 1/3 of those were me screwing up my DP input or doing it too late. I was always trying to DP if I felt I could
-The constant whiffing of that kick move was throwing me off so much, I said to myself "hey it missed, my turn to hit a button". And almost every time it was too late.
-You're very very slippery. It was hard to land anything to even put you in block stun because you were constantly moving compared to my molasses Ryu that just tried to hold its ground.
-I knew you were DP'ing after move that were negative on block a lot. But I just couldn't react to them correctly. I think I punish st. HK only once correctly. Sweep is something I have a hard time punishing because it doesn't have that long hit stop like Ryu's.

I found myself at a lost against you a lot. Anytime I thought I was on to something, you changed it up and scrambled my mind again. Found it very frustrating, but also very challenging and fun.

Ok just went against a 1922 when I was only 965. And guess what it was another rashid player.

I took a screenshot and and I am adding the match to my replay so people believe me this time.

He rekted me but I put up a decent fight in the last round. I didn't know rashid had such much zoning when he is a rush character

Went against a 1732 Cammy right after this fight

I'm done. I'm not playing that fucking Mode anymore. It's bullshit. It was designed by bullshit programmers. With bullshit intentions. With people who have their heads in bullshit instead of in reality.

I don't know what Color to choose but I sure as fuck won't use it in that fucking mode.
 
I don't mind playing higher rank players....I learn that way. But it still pisses me off playin dudes 1000 more points than me, doing well, then playin people the same rank and they are just way worse and you learn bad habits because they are easy to beat.

Pretty much when I get bumped down my win rate goes up but then I face better players and get best back down again. It is a endless cycle. I find I learn more reading and watching vids than playing online
 
I just got the game and really enjoying how much easier it is to do bnb combos over street fighter 4. I had a decent win streak too until I ran into a alt+tab guy and that was incredibility frustrating. I do wish there was a option to match against ps4 users only.

I've gotten several 4+k and even one 5+k opponent while I was at around 1700, it's kinda stupid.
That seems to always happen during winning streaks, though. I'm convinced the game does it on purpose.

Actually those colors remind me of a cool little mod on PC--character portraits are full color/regular rather than the faded blue/red.

Oh that might explain some of it. I was winning a lot earlier today
 
For some reason my favorite rivals list is completely empty. My connection seems fine and I'm logged in. Anyone else have this problem?

edit: Nvm it fixed itself.
 
I actually haven't seen much difference in the quality of opponents in the Bronze league tiers and if there are its usually because the good player has just started playing so he hasn't ranked up yet

I don't get the complaint about this. You don't lose very many points playing someone like this and it gives you good experience to see how top players (even though it might not feel good getting bodied). I saw PR_Balrog beat someone and he gained 5 LP and the loser lost 5 LP.

I'd prefer occasionally getting matched up with high leveled players than having to wait longer. Unless this is ALWAYS happening then this is a non-issue to me. If its happening a lot you should complain to @sfvserver and help them improve their matchmatching.

You have to go through each Difficulty (Easy/Normal/Hard) for EACH COSTUME. Not just each Character. You only get Fight Money once per Character per Difficulty, as well.

So I'm 99.999999% confident that it's designed to make rage enough to say 'fuck it, I'm spending Fight Money on that shit.'

My Karin just got a Double KO against a Chunli lol

I Rassenha'd into her Kikoken. It was glorious and I think we both either lost or gained 6 points.
