This has been all over my timeline for the past hour.



The basic gist of it: Gamergaters have been targeting Nintendo of America employee Allison Rapp due comments she's made about GG and her "SJW" leanings.

There's also this conspiracy theory of her being responsible for recent "censoring" and bad localizations of some localized Nintendo games. All this despite the fact that she's not involved with game localization in any way.

GG supported blogs and sites have been making hit pieces on her, claiming that she wrote some pro-pedophillia thesis on college.

Slandering their targets and opponents as being pedophiles is standard Gamergate operation, but now they managed to get the attention of the president of the Wayne Foundation, a anti-sex trafficking organization. They have convinced her that Rapp is a pedophile and gotten her to join their crusade. She has allegedly already contacted NoA.

That's gamergate grossly twisting and misrepresenting the contents of her thesis. It is not "advocating pedophilia" by any means.

To the latter point, I saw a tweet floating around where she talks about how she's advocated for lowering the age of consent. I can see how that could end up being used against her to make that argument.
