The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD |OT| Ooccoo and Son in Glorious 1080p

Canceled my Amazon pre-order because it hadnt shipped yet, and pre-ordered it at BB for pick up tomorrow. I can't wait to not leave my couch this weekend;never played TP before.

Thinking back on Wii/DS you could play all Zelda games BUT Link's Awakening and the Oracle games.
It's getting better every time, next gen if they manage to get GC VC on the roll we'll finally be able to play ALL Zelda games on current gen!
If they manage to get Wii games on VC and doesn't screw WiiU VC too...
and that's without counting on everything on 3DS that may become unplayable....

Just found out that Amazon does NOT get the soundtrack CD. Wtf? I thought all preorders/first copies do. I thought the music CD was going to be in the game case like Skyward Swords did.

Tempted to get a Wii U for this and a few other titles, but hoping for a price drop. I have little hope of the NX having backwards compatibility. This is one of my favorite Zelda entries next to OoT and LttP.

i preordered this on Nov 12th with prime so why does it say not arriving till tuesday?

I swear to god, this is the sixth or seventh time amazon has not delivered by the release date.

Stoked. Just found out my preorder payment was denied because the card I ordered was stolen awhile back.

Fixed!

Will have the digital tonight and physical tomorrow!

i really really wish they fixed the intro

like always, I fear replaying this game. the HD version should have alleviated that fear...

Nice OT. I'm getting it sometime this month. If only I have a capture card, I would like to create a opening trailer similar to wii version. :P

Oh yeah. Shirtless HD Link here we go.

...don't judge me.

I pre-ordered this the moment it was announced and it should be arriving tomorrow. I'm really excited because this is one Zelda game that I loved but couldn't ever get into properly because of the shitty Wii controls. Will be playing this time around with the Pro Controller most likely (unless gyro aiming turns out to be decent, which is... unlikely?)

Needless to say, I'm pumped for this.

No judgement. For such a scrawny guy he's got a serious chest.

While I played WWHD with the pro controller mostly, the few times I used gyro aiming it was definitely useful.

I never played this because I never had a wii. I'm almost finished with wind waker HD, but OOT is one of my favorite games of all time. Wind waker has been ok, don't hate it, don't love it. Getting all the tri force pieces is a chore IMO.

Will I like this?

Best thing of the entire HD port? The load screen when the game starts up. It actually has Wolf Link at the correct angle!

Wolf Link looking downward instead of to the side (or Link upwards) is the worst!

Depends. This is basically OoT with a better sidekick and dungeons but everything else is mediocre. If you can push through the awful overworld stuff you'll probably enjoy it.

Amiibo version coming in tomorrow. Man, I vividly remember playing this game on my hdtv and the game looking like garbage because it was being blown up to 1080p. Greatly looking froward to playing this game because I don't remember much of it now.

It's everything they wanted to do with Ocarina of Time but couldn't.

fuck that is so much better.

So excited for this! The Legend of Zelda is my favourite... anything.

Twilight Princess is a game I ultimately have some mixed feelings over, but fully believe it has some of the absolute best dungeons in the entire series.

Can't wait! TP is the only 3D Zelda I haven't beaten more than once (Except for SS, which I will never touch for another good decade). Glad I can finally experience it un-flipped.

Price drop won't happen, and even when it does, it might not be immediately after the NX launch. Keep an eye on Nintendo's store, though. They put up refurbished Wii U's at a nice discount.

That crap always bothered me.

How can you be so down on gyro controls? What games do you think they were implemented poorly in? I loved the gyro aiming in Wind Waker HD, and even more so in Splatoon.

To be honest, I haven't given any gyro controls a fair shake in Wii U game besides (maybe?) Nintendoland when it first released and I don't remember being too impressed by it. I more or less negatively associate gyro controls with whatever the hell they used in the original Wii remotes that made me give up on this game in the first place.

I'll have to give them a fair shake with this game perhaps, see what all the fuss is about these days.

Some of the dungeons in this game are really the best in the series.

I love everything from the Arbiter's Grounds forward. Arbiter's Grounds, Snowpeak Ruins, Temple of Time, City in the Sky......all fantastic.

It just gives you an extra level of precision when aiming. You use the stick to get 90% of the way there and gyro to do the last 10%. Allows for really quick, precise aiming once you get used to it.

I agree, but I personally don't care for city in the sky. not a fan of the aesthetic and the slow clawshot portions. The boss is ace though.

check out the refurb consoles Nintendo sell directly if they still do them

Yeah this is the third time in a row I've preordered games with "release day delivery" and it failed to ship in time. What's the deal, Amazon?

I've never beaten a Zelda game before and only played about 15 hours of this on the Wii. I remember really enjoying how polished it was and with such personality. The long-winded opening segment was also really great. It set the stage for what felt like a grand adventure. Can't wait! I'm glad I haven't played any of the others. I'll probably be blown away.

Ahh, that makes sense. I wasn't at all impressed with gyro controls until I actually played Uncharted and Gravity Rush on the Vita. They were implemented decently enough. Then with NintendoLand, I absolutely fell in love with them with Metroid. Haven't looked back since. They don't obviously replace dual sticks, but used in conjunction - using both sticks while slightly moving the GamePad, is incredibly intuitive and natural for me. My wife had major issues with them until I told her just pretend you're holding a camera and you're trying to frame whatever you want in the center. It clicked with her after that all.

Either way, hope you enjoy them in TP - I'd imagine if they lifted it from WWHD, it should be fine.

Does Best Buy usually ship preorders early so they arrive on release day?

I preordered Fallout 4 from Best Buy with free shipping and it arrived on the day of release so I assumed that was the standard, but my Twilight Princess order isn't showing as shipped yet. I don't think there's any chance it's going to arrive by tomorrow. :\

Mine shipped yesterday from Best Buy, but it might depend on where you are.
