Moral Orel is one of the best animated shows ever made.

One of the most intense and harrowing scenes in animation.

FYI, the voice of Orel's dad is also the voice of Baymax in Big Hero 6.

He's also Pete in 30 Rock! Which is such a weird turn, but his VO doesn't sound much like Pete, so it isn't that distracting for me.

Also, I think if the series got picked up by Netflix or Hulu as a continuation/spinoff, the show would do pretty well. I think the theme of a show as "comedy but depressingly real" has been proven with shows like "You're the Worst" and "Bojack Horseman."

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
Wow... that's a bit dark in a soul crushingly realistic kind of way. The plots seem ridiculous but the low notes they constantly hit are all on point.

I hated this show. I found the humour poorly delivered and the pacing far too slow. It's a shame, I can see what they were trying to hit, but their swings didn't connect.

Eh, I thought it would brings the lulz but that shit got dark and just left a bad taste in my mouth when I wanted to laugh. I mean, it was funny but there'd be whole episodes where I didn't smile once and was like wth did I just watch? Especially later in the series.

It's not a comedy show but a somewhat humorous take on someone's life growing up

Even the early "funny" episodes are dark upon a second viewing when you realize that, in the context of the in-show universe, there are deep psychological reasons everyone behaves the way they are. They are "cute" and "funny" by accident. It's all a paper thin facade to hide their misery.

You know what's really fun? Liking season 1 as a parody of Davey and Goliath, skipping the show for a long while, then catching up in the the middle of back half of season 3 years later and wondering what the fuck happened

Sounds great if not for missing "Offensiveness" "pleasure" "Be Fruitful and Multiply" and "gods image" eps

Just binged after OP, and all I can say is wow. Truly ahead of its time.

I don't know how to feel tbh, that was a lot to cope with.

Go watch season 1 again now and notice all the nuance you missed before

The second run through of the series is a mind fuck when you know the real motivations behind each character. It's like a bunch of people putting up fronts at all times around each other, everything is fake.

I did not get that impression ever from watching any random episode but I probably only saw ep. from Season 1.

I'll give S2&3 a chance while I still have Hulu.

This show is incredible. Holy shit. Season 3 got dark as fuck.

I think the ending we got wound up being better. The original ending would have had the same message, but told the exact opposite way.
instead of morel realizing that organized religion is what made his parents unhappy, his grandpa would have slowly brought him back to the church and he would have wound up miserable just like his dad

As is, the ending is sweet and heartwarming. Although morel as a goth would have probably been funny lol

Can you post any links/suggest where I can find the storyboards/scripts for the episodes that didn't get made? I would love to check all it out
