you think Iron Man's team is OP, and then you see this and you're reminded... bow down bitches, indeed.

Yeah Scarlet Witch should be fucking OP.. but damn showing the audiences she can control someone who can control an infinity stone? DAMN

As much as seeing Spidey is great, why fucking spoil it in a trailer.

So dumb. Why can't movies be secretive anymore and blow their load in the trailers and stuff. This is why Force Awakens was so exciting; because they kept everything under wraps and it was awesome.
Spidey puts butts in seats

I hope the U.N. has file footage of London when a transdimensional alien rekt the place.

Or perhaps they have footage of the president getting kidnapped and an oil rig getting rekt?

They have one of the president on the rig, wasnt that the whole point - to air it?

The London thingy was pretty isolated though, took what? 10 minutes? tops. To be resolved.

I agree that Spider-Man should not have been revealed in the trailer. It would have been fucking amazing to be surprised at the movie's showing.

The only right way to to it - Organic webs are very lazy.

Eww no stop. The organic webs in the Raimi films was always a puberty analogy for sperm production - the scene in SM1 with him alone in his room with the door unlocked and Aunt May walks in, and the erectile disfunction scenes in SM2. The denigration of the Raimi films (by some people) itt is making my stomach turn. He made them organic to enhance the themes of the movies.

Hardly. Organic webbing makes for a much more coherent character origin and less contrived than "I also now know how to make this wonder-polymer and in quantities that defy the laws of physics."

That said, comic fans hate it, so props to them for going back to webshooters after the original trilogy.

I think it is his suit. Which is made up of the same stuff as Cap's shield. Vibranium?

I am not familiar with his suit; I do know his country is the source of vibranium. I think of hard metal when I think of vibranium, not a costume that is flexible, but I guess it could be used like Kevlar and still keep flexibility.

Ah really? I love him. Booooo.

Me too but apparently Marvel does this stuff all the time to keep things under wraps so I wouldn't take it too seriously.

There was an article the other day that Anthony Mackie didn't even know he was an Avenger until he watched Age of Ultron. They filmed his scenes separate from when Cap says Avengers Assemble.

Spider-Man being in this movie isn't a secret to anyone. We still haven't seen this movie's central antagonist, we've mostly only seen action beats. They are being incredibly conservative about this other than playing up the whole "heroes on both sides" angle.

Also the idea that Marvel is spilling too much of their load in the trailers is completely baffling to me when Iron Man 3 had probably the biggest twist in recent Hollywood history by virtue of not even remotely hinting at it's presence. Hell even the Ultron trailers were somewhat misleading.

But Peter being a genius is part of his character

No, some random dude asked someone from Platinum if he would like to make a Spider-Gwen game and the platinum dude said yes.
thats not a rumor, thats a answer to a question that evolved into a pipe dream and the NX attachement make it clear that ist bullshit.

no really, there was a rumor recently

edit: from a banned source so yeah

Peter Parker in Amazing Spider Man seemed pretty out of character. Like, wasn't he just way too suave and cool? I just remember in 2 when he showed up at the end of the graduation, kissed Gwen, shouted something to the audience and was generally a bit of an a-hole.

THR talks about the collateral damage angle and how Marvel and DC have backed themselves into a corner with it.
Worse still, it also makes the destruction caused by superhero fights foremost in viewers' heads again, so that by the time we get to Avengers 5: This Time They're Fighting Kang In The Old West, the audience won't be able to enjoy the sight of the Hulk smashing a random minion through a wall without thinking of the property damage and/or whoever was standing on the other side of that wall. After Civil War, can Marvel go back to pretending that everyone is okay after any large scale event ever again?

(See also: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which apparently suggests that any massive superhero fight will lead to congressional hearings in future; I look forward to someone trying to explain to the government who Darkseid is in years to come.)

But everyone knows he's going to be in the movie already!

Everyone knew Luke was going to be in TFA but they clearly didn't feel the need to have a quick shot of his face in any trailer.
Not really. You'd be surprised how many people I know who are excited for this didnt know Spider-Man was going to be in it. Hell there was just that gaf thread the other day where a bunch of posters were surprised that there was going to be another reboot.

They handled Spidey perfectly in the trailer, enough to hype people (the general audience will see him and think "Spider-Man!" and the fans will think "The suit looks awesome and THE EYES ARE ANIMATED!") but it does so without showing too much. The hey guys is pretty much directed to the audience.

Everyone = people who actively follow these movies

If you don't actually read online about the movie, and only learn anything new when a trailer comes out, you don't know Spiderman would be in this
