I don't understand what happened when Bucky fired his gun point blank at Tony. Somebody explain.

Also, this is a Captain America movie, yet it has more Marvel superheroes than the Avengers. Not that I'm complaining, but anyone else think that's odd?

Well, Bucky tried to kill him and he blocked the shot with the Iron Man suit hand that he opened a second earlier.

He was bound to happen anyway

Who couldn't body this lineup?

Maxima and Bloodwynd got to ride the coat tails of the biggest comic book story ever, but never got a rub in popularity. What trash.

Doomsday was an okay set up for the stories that followed. Funeral For a Friend and A World without a Superman.

But the BEST thing to come out of Doomsday was the SNL Superman's Funeral

I miss Chris Farley.

I am sorry if that is region locked for anyone.

It is still lacking a big money shot, IMO.

And no, an unfinished Spider-Man scene that seems that was shot last week and added 5 minutes before they dropped the trailer online doesn't count :P

Lol what is your criteria for a money shot then?

Because fucking Spider-Man in an MCU movie stealing Cap's shield sounds like an amazing money shot to me.

Was great until the Spiderman scene, yikes. Bad CG and voice acting. Seriously, sounds like a random 12 year old took a poor quality computer mic and recorded that :S

Really? His voice seemed really on-point to me. Just ... understated. Friendly neighbourhood like, if you will.

Liked the trailer, really liked the Spiderman Costume. Only two things I didn't like.

1. Tony holds the slide of the gun when he puts his iron man hand to stop the bullet, doing that would hurt you, and if your hand is exposed and you grab it...not good things are going to happen. But I'll suspend my belief for it when the actual movie comes out.

2. Spiderman voice, It sounds like to me they just wanted people to hear what he sounds like so they added it in, which is fine, but it sounded a little off in the trailer.

Other then that, I loved the trailer and already got my ticket for opening night. Good they are finally having stakes though for all the destruction they have caused over the years because in Avengers 1 it really felt like they had a giant alien invasion and people got pissed they missed the bus instead of finding out they are not alone in the universe. So I'm happy it is evolving.

It was pretty obvious.

Not it wasn't.

You mean from the three shots of Iron Man putting on the gauntlet, then wrestling with Bucky over the gun, then blocking the shot with said gauntlet?

He puts on the gauntlet, and then it immediately cuts to him already fighting with Bucky. His gauntlet hand is covered behind his other hand when he fires. Anyone could have missed that.

Yes someone could miss it but then they think about it and figure it out.

I suspect the movie will end with either BP or Spiderman switching sides, but before shit gets more serious Cap gets a pardon for Bucky in exchange for being taken to jail for leading the rebellion.

And then Thanos is all "good, now the one man who could stop me is in jail" as he sends his minion, Evil Groot, to finish the job

I mean, maybe it's not obvious on first watch, but if you just go and rewatch the three seconds of the trailer, yeah it is incredibly so.

When cap says 'I can do this all day'.

Bucky had to save him then. Now he is saving Bucky.
I can't even.

It's like poetry, it rhy--

Wait, wrong movie franchise.

Anyway, yeah, I loved that little callback. I was never a big Captain America fan, as I honestly didn't know much about the character other than he was from the 30's and 40's, and fought Nazis, and ended up in modern times, but I always thought he was just a propaganda machine character that stuck around.

I only read a little bit of him in team comics like New Avengers, but he was never the focus.

The Chris Evans movies won me over a Cap fan. I just absolutely love his portrayal of the character. It's very earnest an genuine. Something that I feel is missing from Henry Cavill's portrayal of Superman. Cap just has this decent guy personality that isn't hollow or forced. It's just who he is. My favorite scene in all of the movies so far is when he, as Pre-super soldier serum Steve, jumps on the grenade Tommy Lee Jones throws down, not realizing it was a dud grenade. Caps self sacrifice for what he feels is right is why I like him. Stark is a selfish, narcissistic, egomaniac, and while he learns micro lessons in his adventures, they never really seem to stick like they should. Everything he does is for the betterment of Tony Stark, under the guise of doing it for the greater good.

He didn't want to put a suit of armor around the world because it was the right thing to do, he wanted to put a suit of armor around the world because he was fucking scared. Scared that when the aliens came back, he wouldn't make it out alive.

With all of that said, I absolutely love Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of Tony, and I actually really like the character because of how flawed he is. But I'm still on Team Cap. That guy is a fucking hero in every sense of the word, and he's going to die to do what's right for others, his own needs/wants/desires a second, third, and fourth priority.

I think you are in the minority on that one. Seemed pretty clear, the clothing and ridiculous eyewear are constant through the cuts, as is the machinery on his hands. There's also the fact that the expanding suit on his hand only makes sense because of the tussle with WS that happens right afterwards. Its also not the first time that sequence as you saw it was in a trailer for this film.

They may not be following the original story exactly,
but that's exactly what should happen with Spidey. Actually, given his youth here, it makes even more sense really.
