The guy with the second best chance at the GOP nomination.

:lol

Republican's really fucked up. Intellectual contagions are difficult to control once you've allowed them to spread so far.

What in the actual hell America!? Before you could somewhat laugh this off as "crazy people being crazy". But that train has left the station ages ago. This is getting scarry...

Can we start with the pastor?

EDIT: I watched the video. Start with the pastor and then everyone who clapped and cheered.

People only now finding out that Cruz and his associates are as crazy as Trump... I though this was reported months and months ago...

Something very similar happened with Obama and Rev. Wright

Stop taking the faults of one person and putting it on the shoulders of another. It would be different if Cruz said it

As a European, all of the Republican candidates seem like they are actually Sith Lords

I remember reading about this a few days ago. Frightening stuff. Am entire segment of that sermon was dedicated to speaking about how a Christian nation would have no choice but to prepare itself to enact biblically mandated genocide.

This was before Iowa.

Kevin Swanson is a nut. And Ted Cruz shared a stage with this guy and answered questions from him.

Fuck you Ted Cruz. You knowingly associated with a dangerous nutbag.

"I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Jesuschrist!"

*quotes from the Old Testament, which is filled with all kinds of insane shit*

These people are such dumbfucks, even within their own little bubble of hate.

He quoted Romans in the NT right before he said that....not that it makes one bit of difference. Dude is scum.

I think Trump is an incredible liar and that he believes nothing of what he says (and is probably at least socially a democrat, if not economically). He'd be a bad president.

But hell if Cruz doesn't look worse. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather have Trump than Cruz.

It's strange how even modern practicing Jews have eschewed most of those laws, yet we have Christians, who have supposed moved on from that, still holding to it.

Well at least their dropping the whole hate the sin love the person rhetoric and being honest. They will still hate being called bigots though for some asanine reason.

it's a completely different situation. obama hadn't been a member for wright's church for years, wright's statements were much more generally political and arguably true (the most "controversial" parts were railing against american white supremacy which is still alive and well), and obama immediately repudiated him.

this is cruz showing up to this guy's event knowing what kind of positions he holds and what kind of people will be showing up. i'd also bet he won't make any kind of statement disavowing those beliefs.

It's funny how the only actual alternative (without some form of a brokered convention) to Trump on the GOP side is a man that is probably twice as evil.

This is why its frustrating to hear that its all opinions and you aren't wrong for voting for someone else. Cruz and a lot of the people he associates with are awful people

I also remember when Jesus Christ said, "Kill all the gays!"

Oh wait, he didn't.
Always relevant:

As much as America has this imagery of Freedom and 'The Good Guys', the inner workings of the country have always been similar to what you'd find with the Nazi's or any local terrorist group.

Its rather ironic.

As a Christian in SC, please don't put much stock in what this scumbag is spouting, please. I have gone to many different churches in my life - Baptist, SDA, Methodist, all various forms of Pentecostal churches, and more. I have never, not a single time, ever met another Christian that actually stood up and spoke like this on gay people. This joker is an obvious extremist and anyone with half a brain would stay away, and that should obviously include Ted Cruz. I'm shocked that he even walked out on the stage after that moron went on that rant.

This guy deserves no more attention than an immediate and complete and total dismissal. Ugh, and the same goes for any of the other nuts that go on with the same type of talk.

"kill all the gays" and sermons that harshly criticized America for its hypocrisy and the reality of blowback are two completely different things.

At least the general idea of what Wright was saying was in fact true and well-meaning. It's a plea to do better. Americans are just so in love with the concept of America that our fragile little hearts can't stomach this kind of "real talk".
