Massive ongoing protest in Chicago makes Trump "postpone" his event

From Trump's own statement:

"Mr. Trump just arrived in Chicago and after meeting with law enforcement has determined that for the safety of all of the tens of thousands of people that have gathered in and around the arena, tonight’s rally will be postponed to another date. Thank you very much for your attendance and please go in peace.”

It says Trump has determined, not that the police told him to shut it down.

This is not an honest post.

Trump said he'd pay for the legal fees of violent actions by his protestors.

Are u aware of that?
I disagree with you using the word honest
And no I wasn't aware he said that but even so .. Everyone should be responsible for their own actions
His rhetoric is dangerous though

She is fucking right. She is 100 percent right. He likes to spew his bullshit. He's the one feeding these people with the shit he's spewing too. He's inciting them 100 percent. He's spewing downright vile hateful shit.

I have this weird feeling that Trump might get shot between now and November if he does not change his some of his views. I was not expecting this large of a protest.

This cruz speech, even if Donald gets bumped we got this asshole.

I take solace in the fact that his very manner of speaking makes many people hate him that he'd have less of a chance in a general. Though... He does do better than Trump in the GE polls, oddly enough.

That Maddow segment...

Holy fucking shit.

He literally just a breath away said black people are worthless human beings and didn't contribute to America.

The real sad thing is that no matter what truth gets shown be it from Trumps own disgusting words, video of what they incite they will basically squirm out of it because they really got people believing it's not their fault. It's "them", be it Obama, Muslims, black people, liberals, the media. That and at this point it really doesn't matter what they do because the Republican party and it's defenders have basically absolved themselves of all blame no matter what happens.

Probably because they know if they stop and admit something heinous they know what they truly are. And that, they do not want to do.

What did Rubio say?

He said Trumps rhetoric is promoting violence and you're not seeing violence at anyone else's rallies. He mentioned the other republicans but also mentioned lack of violence at Sander's or Clinton's rallies.

Basically he said no one should be surprised it's come to this.

You need a tag.

"No I wasn't aware. But even so, my bizzare statement still stands!"

Sure in some world without laws or honesty?

But you can get charged for yelling fire in a theater. You didn't physically step on the old lady. But you're responsible for causing the stampede.

People get into legal trouble for promoting violence.. or inciting violence. There is a myriad of precident. You are held responsible even for getting others to kill themselves.

People are often held responsible for others.

It isn't binary. But you know that, but hell.. maybe you dont..?
In context.

Trump is spreading hate. And violence. And said he'd pay for the legal fees.

Enough with this Marge Simpson view on life. Esp with people being attacked at his rallies.

Again. 0 honesty from that side of the keyboard.

Basically that he's inciting the behavior, encourages it and of all the canidates for the presidential race, his rallies are always filled with violent, rowdy and disruptive supporters.

Of course he's also using the flawed 1st amendment response without considering that the protesters have a first amendment right as well.

This is unfortunate. For the obvious reasons but also because I was hoping something like this wouldn't happen for a few more weeks until he locks up the nom.
