Don't worry, she's just pledging allegiance like all Americans do, she totally isn't saluting and it's absolutely not related to the Nazi salute.

Y'all are just looking to blow this stuff out of all proportions.

And what it is?

You keep saying "some people" or "certain protesters" and worrying about their latent urge for violence and rudeness, and they all happen to be black or motivated against racism and protesting white men.

Even if you don't realize what you are doing, maybe take a step back and consider for a second you might be making some biased assumptions here.

Y'all really gonna keep arguing with a motherfucker who posts like he doesn't know a single fucking thing about American history or human behavior. Some people can't be reached - even Mr. Fantastic knows that.

The organized group of people, many of them thugs, who shut down our First Amendment rights in Chicago, have totally energized America!

It's amazing that so many people have such a fundamental misunderstanding of what the First Amendment even means. What's so hard about it, it's the most basic one! Like I can understand the confusion over the Second Amendment, the words in it are murky, but the First is cut and dry. Neither parties involved yesterday had their First Amendment rights infringed, both parties were exercising it, at least they were until Trump's party voluntarily ended his.

Just so annoyed that Trump made himself the victim in this.

You chose to shut it down.

----

Fox news guest: Obama's rhetoric caused this and you don't see him speaking against this.all you see is the democrats fanning this.

Pretty gross, but not so clear cut that Trump can't worm himself out of responsibility.

"I don't know about Nazi salutes. I don't know anything about Hitler, okay? I'd have to check. I don't know."

"I don't know"

"I don't know"

"I don't know"

It's genius non-commitment, really.

somehow I fear that this will make his supporters support him even more. i still think he has no chance in the generals though

Of course it will. In fact he will gain more supports because several republicans certainly didin't like what they saw last night against Trump.

In generals I think is unlikely that Trump win, but I would not rule out. He has appeal to blue color workers, this can be decisive in some states.

Ummm...No. They voiced theirs loud and clear. You didn't.

They won't address this. They have to stay on message.

No, but this is no justification.

I think every country in the world has a debt to black people, but the attiude of certain protesters I really don't like, very rude or even worse.

Of course protesting is rude. It's a PROTEST. And these protestors have good reason to be upset. If you want to be mad at some protests, then come out to my neck of the woods. We've got Westboro Baptist Church out here. I was screamed at for going to a Bon Jovi concert because God hates "Livin on a Prayer" or something. We've got all the rude idiotic hateful protests you could ever want in my neighborhood. Meanwhile, institutional racism is very much a thing that exists, and violence is becoming acceptable practice at Trump rallies by his supporters, by the dude's own rhetoric. Yesterday's protest had a good reason to occur, unlike any Westboro protest ever.

It seems a bit easy to quote an old lady doing the Hitler salute, when you can just as easily show an image of a guy shooting an uzi in the air (source) or pictures of cops being assaulted. These are the extreme fringes within Trump and Bernie's supporters which I don't think are indicative of the large groups following either guy.
The dude has been making fascist-lite statements and even gestures; that lady was just the inevitable conclusion.

I'm talking about shut down a rally. Whites, blacks, this doesn't matter, I'm condenning attiudes, not trying to make a point based on color skin.

Of course he used the word 'thugs' and doesn't know how the First Amendment works.

No need to try and put words in his mouth when the conversation was clearly about the BLM protest.

I think Allan is against the concept of protests in general, or doesn't understand the purpose of them if he thinks that quiet non disruption ever accomplishes anything. The same laws that allow those Westboro clowns to protest military funerals apply here.

The allowance for the nonviolent exchange of ideas is one of the foundations of democracy. If you start cracking down on it, you come closer to being Russia, China, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, etc.

The protests did nothing of the sort for Hillary, Trump, or Sanders.

If you want to talk about dangerous and stupid stoppages, there were those people who attempted to shut down I93 in Boston a few years ago.

Yes condemning attitudes...
of predominately black, latino, muslim, and other minority people.

And the rally they shut down was a bastion of hatred specifically against them.

And for the record, race does matter in this context whether you think it does or not.

Total bullshit. Here's a video of Portia less than a month ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsC5YRtkCGg&app=desktop.

For one thing, no glasses(and who the hell wears contacts at that age?). Also, completely different hair. Now, I know that could be two different wigs, but the facial features such as chin, cheekbones, etc, are all wrong. Portia also has a much longer face, and the hair of the woman in the rally picture has either blondish or nicotine stained hair, whereas Portia's is pure white.

Edit: GavinGT beat me to the punch with the same video, even. Good sleuthing, man.

I'm totally in favour of protests, people should make their voices being heard, but certain attitudes I don't agree.

Maybe some people believe that the end justifies the means because the cause is so much important for them. I don't believe in this concept.

I know what NeoGAF thinks of the protest. I know what r/politics thinks of the protest. And I know what r/the_donald thinks of the protest.

But what I'm really curious about, is what 'Middle America' thinks about it. Does Middle America even exist nowadays in these times of political fracturing?
My guess is that it reinforces the idea that they're being persecuted by the "intolerant", "regressive", "left".

Also, that Twitter account needs to be reported by as many folks as possible. Portia Boulger is likely going to be inundated by some threats from some very nasty folks in the days to come because that Twitter bloke is either a moron or a liar or both.

I will not bite and enter in your game.

If the protest are not in support of Clinton,Sanders and Trump. Then what are they doing for?
Is there not a better way to support the democratic process than erupting others?
