That Bleeding Edge Armor

Or maybe they thought it wasn't their fault. Invasion, them being the last line of defense, shit happens, people get killed.
Hell it took Tony half a movie into Age of Ultron to realize what you're saying.
Also, Superman hasn't acknowledged jack about what happened to metropolis, that's a paranoid Wayne who holds him responsible. I'm pretty damn sure he'd hold the avengers responsible for New York before they even found the shawarma joint.

Couple of things

1. And I don't blame them, but read the quote I was originally responded to lauding Marvel for always having their heroes regret the destruction even when they're not responsible

2. Superman is going before congress. How the hell do you know what he has and has not acknowledged?

They've skipped it. I'm sorry. It hurts me too.

The filter is better since it makes everything look more like a snow covered forest. Without the filter everything looks more 'warm'.

Looks awful to me, especially when you compare them in motion too.

Wait - Mahoney was trying to say the warmer image is due to the filter, not the colder one. Right?

And even if said filter was noticed during the film proper, how is making the color space feel a litle warmer/more neutral "awful?"

Is this a complaint anyone would have had if there wasn't someone nitpicking via looping animated gif trying to make it one?

I want Tony to go back to his gold armor from Iron Man 3. That's the absolute best.

I also feel like the destruction angle feels way more real in BvS, while to me, it feels tacked on for Civil War but thank goodness they are finally coming around to acknowledging the destruction.

Feel like you gotta actually read my post again and really process what it is I'm saying, as it relates to the gif I'm replying to.

The gif saying nothing about the film sucking tbh. It's about the filters they (over) used. The film is worse than part 1 though, mostly for plot/pacing/villain reasons not because of the filters.

And even if said filter was noticed during the film proper, how is making the color space feel a litle warmer/more neutral "awful?"

It's not, the over-use of the blue is (imo). A lot of the other colors are washed out, and is used too much that it doesn't become subtle anymore.

That's dedication to your craft, right there. Bale can take a walk.

Method acting taken to its limits. Tom Holland is a spider alien.

It might, who knows. His suiting up gets fancier all the time

I hope! But I'm gonna bet that Tony has more little devices like that watch of his scattered around his body that the rest of the suit comes out of piecemeal.

That'd be cool too. A natural progression of sorts.

So I was thinking earlier. We think there is possibly a clone of Bucky running around. What if the movie starts up with him hunting down said clone. The clone gets caught on camera blowing up whereever T'Challa is in the trailer seen in the explosion. Regular Bucky gets in a fight with clone Bucky and ends up with his arm in that clamp as clone bucky leaves him to get caught in his place. This is where Steve/Sam find him.

Maybe he combines the House Party Protocol with the hulkbuster platform and just have his armory in LEO above him at all times. The suits just shoot down.

Probably an old talking point, but why isn't the fight between the Hulk/Iron Man from AoU not included?

I mean of all the fights, I feel like the one would most hold them accountable for since simply fighting themselves. Sure people may not have died, but that's a ton of property damage.

Impossible that people didn't die during that. I don't care what they say :lol

If I'm mistaken, didn't Tony buy the building or something in about 5 seconds? Or at least try to? Am I remembering that right?

Ya know, even though we've seen like a billion Iron Man suits so far already, seeing how they come up with new ways for Tony to get in and out of the suit is still one of my favorite things about the IM/Avengers movies. It's like a ritual at this point. Each new movie introduces something special.

...Except Age of Ultron...

That said, IM2's suitcase scene is still the best one in terms of "Oh shit that's badass" hype value.

It's not, the over-use of the blue is (imo).

But you said the blue was the original unfiltered shot.

This is kinda what I'm talking about above: People tend to get into conversations about color grading not really knowing much about the particulars, or as in this case, confusing which is the unfucked-with version, and which isn't.

Plus that still doesn't really answer the question as to how EITHER version of that shot is "awful," or why the color space being shaded towards either the colder or the warmer side of the spectrum is such a negative choice to make.

Remember when he had to use a extremely complicated comptraption to get in and out of the suit?

They went through a lot of trouble to show the evolution of the suit through the films. My fave is the suitcase one because it's very PowerXTreme™, now it's just so seamless he could probably do it straight out of the shower and go commando.

But you said the blue was the original unfiltered shot.

It is. And it looks worse, not sure where I said the "warmer version" is the original.

It is possible to have an opinion on it and say it looks worse you know. It doesn't even look "colder winter climate" to me, just over-used that it's original intention doesn't translate well.

In Age of Ultron the suit just opens itself up so he can step right out.

If I remember correctly.

Remember when he had to use a extremely complicated comptraption to get in and out of the suit?

Yeah, he upgraded that shit quick. His mind is brilliant. In Iron Man 2 he had a portable one in the shape of a suitcase, Avengers he had the summonable parts which I think required a scan before it could attach. In Iron Man 3 a big leap, with a remote control suit, AI suits that he could just walk into, and summonable parts that didn't require the long scan first. Now he has one on his wristwatch or at least its just an iron gauntlet. Wonder where they can take it next and is War Machine is still restricted to a lengthy suit up?

I hope SPiderman and Cap lock arms and Cap gets the shock of his life when he tastes that sweet sweet proportional strength of a spider. Shit Spiderman should be the 4th strongest character in the MCU not counting tech based ones

They might have just skipped it for the trailer. They also have London, New Mexico, Harlem, Monaco, the Stark Expo, and maybe even the fuckery that happened in San Francisco with Ant-Man to bring up.

I think I actually prefer the MCU Spidey out of all those. Very sleek, simple and modern. Has the least amount of stuff going on, but less is more in this case. Best looking eyes, too. Love the fact that they can change shape. I was skeptical of it working in live action, but making it like a camera is brilliant.

I agree that they'll probably list off everything in the movie, and truncated it for the trailer

Wait, what? Hold on.

(jesus if this convo isn't proving my point)

You said the blue was the original shot. In a discussion about using bad filters. I took that to mean they added a yellow/green filter to arrive at the "ugly" shot that you thought was overused. But what you're saying is that by "original" shot you meant "originally as it appeared in the film" with a bluish tint to it, not "as it was originally shot before they added that yellow/green filter to it," suggesting that someone else doing their own homemade color correction made it look better/more accurate to reality because the winter forest no longer had an icy blue sheen to it.

Right?

It is possible to have an opinion on it and say it looks worse you know. It doesn't even look "colder winter climate" to me, just over-used that it's original intention doesn't translate well.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say there.

Also, did you actually notice this in the theaters, or was it something that was pointed out to you later by other people online?

He should be third right?

Hulk, Thor, Spidey unless I'm forgetting someone.
