It's a normal dude carrying a tarp or something

That Black Bolt vs Thanos panel only goes to show how beastly Thanos is, I'm really excited to see the Russos take on the character in Infinity War.

Well they've clearly made Black Panther more powerful than in the comics. Perhaps the recent ones make him out to be more of a badass. But he's pretty much just a poor mans Captain America.

On paper the Iron Man side just whalloop Caps with absolute ease. Anyway, this movie is going to be so great. But good god, is the human gunplay and combat of Natasha and Shield Agents boring.

Even in the Winter Soldier or Age of Ultron that stuff seems boring and only there to tick the boxes.

For decades, Blank Panthers main role in a team was to get his ass kicked. There's always one or two disposable fighters, who are sure to get their ass kicked. At the end of the day all Blank Panther does is leap around, dodge stuff then get knocked out.

That was like literally every Avengers comic he was in. But I guess it wouldn't look too good if the first proper black MCU super hero did a bunch of evasive flips and then got immediately knocked out as his true character would.
Know how I know you don't read comics. Panther invented comic preptime when he bodied the FF in his first appearence
Tony lecturing someone on heroism when he ripped the still beating heart out of a childs chest.

Lawd. The 80's and 90's certainly were a magical time.
Folks act like Tony beeing an asshole was brand new

Why is Bucky constantly getting his ass kicked in this movie? They made him so damn emo.

It actually fits the comics, he was cool and mysterious as the Winter Soldier, but started getting rocked when folks knew it was just Bucky. That is why he went around shooting people in the kneecaps before starting shit

Someone has to Worf to show how awesome Stark's squad is, might as well be the super awesome badass from the last one.

Also unless he's Cap, it's Bucky's job to catch L's. I hope the MCU pulls a swerve and doesn't give him the cowl at the end, it's Sams time god dammit.

Too be fair Bucky is an ass

As if it's possible to "act" in these movies, who do you guys think has done the best performance in all the MCU movies?

I love RDJ's performance as Tony Stark, but I honestly don't know how much of that is acting and how much is just RDJ having a similar personality. But he's such goddamn perfect casting that I can't think of anyone else better for the role.

What's the canon on movie spidey strength? We know the comic:

http://www.aminoapps.com/page/comics/2519403/7-times-spiderman-shows-his-true-strength

I have no idea if any of the films show next-level strength the comic does so maybe people could be basing on what they have come to expect from the films?

I don't think there is a canon; it's just whatever the director needs at the time. But stopping the train in Spider-Man 2 and then catching the wall before it falls on MJ are both amazing feats of strength. That being said, I doubt any of that will carry over to this new Spidey, although I expect him to be significantly stronger than Cap but weaker than the Iron Man/War Machine suits.

He always gets the "proportional strength of a spider". The definition can vary but he's always way stronger than a regular human.

Except when the script calls for it like in Spider-Man 2 when he's punching Doc Ock (a fat scientist with no actual powers) in the face and it's not knocking him out in one punch.

If there was one line in Spider-Man 2 that explained Doc's ability to perform feats of strength - like say the robotic spine injected doses of strength enhancer or adrenaline when he needed it, as wearing the arms was very physically tiring - that would have fixed one of my only concerns about the film. During their first encounter in the bank Spidey flings a bag of money into his face and he doesn't even flinch. Shit would at least knock over a regular guy.

Casting has been consistently good across Marvel-property films for so many years... Snipes, Maguire, Garfield, Gruffudd, Stewart, Evans, Simmons, RDJ, Jackman, Chiklis, Rudd, Olsen, McKellen, Stone, Hiddleston, Hemsworth etc

Some dislikes: JLaw, Hopkins

Are you kidding me. Remember when he outclassed Black Widow and Falcon with ease and even Cap had trouble with him.

She probably just surprised him with a kick. I'm sure he proceeds to dismantle her in the next scene. Same deal with the Falcon. As for BP, well, BP can probably destroy everyone in the movie (and I sure hope he does because BP is the best!). In any case let's not jump to conclusions after hasty shots in trailers.

That downtown fight between Winter Soldier and Cap is probably my favourite fight in any comic book film. It's so damn perfect, and it was brief enough and restrained enough to leave me wanting more.

Not really jobbing when he would actually lose to BP 10 times out of 10.

Have we had any word about Wakanda tech in the MCU universe? I hope it has some small role in Civil War even if its just something simple like vibranium knifes.

T'Challa should be knocking out Bucky's bionic arm like it was a damn toy in 2 secs flat.

I agree with you man.... But then I see the gifs, he's looking like a punk after looking so dominant beforehand. :'( I hope the trailers did that and don't show the full picture.

Well his suit is made of vibranium, in the trailer you see he gets shot by a helicopter and it just diverts his attention, and with just a swipe he destroys the back wheel of Bucky's motorcycle. Lastly dude does damage to cap's shield.

Have to say I only just now noticed how they're making BP's moves look similar to an actual panther. Really loving the unique twist on fighting abilities. Greatly looking forward to seeing him on the big screen even if this movie is starting to look a little packed to the gills

Yeah, that part with the helicopter is some good shit. Not only does it show they got the suit right, but it also shows they got his power levels right since he isn't even flinching at high caliber impacts. This is a mofo that armbars being of pure cosmic power.

I still hope we get some more flashy Wakanda tech as well. T'Challa is not only like the 5th smartest person on the planet, he ain't got their funding issues. lol

He's definitely brainwashed in that scene and is probably trying to fight it, so he's not the laser-focused killing machine he was in WS. The scene in the end of Ant Man and the scene where Cap is asking him "Do you remember me?" is after this; Bucky is wearing the same red shirt

The Civil War trailers have already shown more interesting stuff than the entirety of AoU when it comes to fighting choreography. Can't wait to see what they do with a full cast in Infinity War 1 & 2.

Oh right. Maybe he still has that Order 66 imprint triggered at that point.

So I'm guessing Zemo probably grabs Bucky and brainwashes him again?

And Cap's starting to look real stupid here if this happens before everything else. No wonder Tony wants him in custody, he tried to shoot him point blank

Also, Sharon's kick looks like it didn't do shit

Absolutely true. AoU was a hot mess (although I at least had fun watching it at home) but I have the utmost faith in the Russo's. No matter how talented a director is though, if his movie is being meddled with too much by execs it's a difficult hurdle to overcome. That said I have a feeling a lot of the extra stuff being used in the trailers will be kept to a minimum by the Russo's so they can concentrate on the main characters and story without getting bogged down on the road to Thanos

The BP fans already getting out of hand and the movie isn't even out yet! Black Panther better lives up to the hype but I hope it doesn't go the way of other characters jobbing to make him look better.

It's almost an actual comic-book-movie.

Wait until they get the rights to Galactus!

I'm ok with the new suit very much, I like the retro feel to it, but the CG model is very mediocre, I hope the real deal looks better. The pic with the eyes position made me laugh though, hopefully he can see :P

I'd love to see a pure 90's spidey adaptation, with the bug-like eyes and dark accents. So bad ass.

"His webline...

...advantageous!"

incredible writing

I'm just dying to see how they make Spidey fight

This! Given that the Russo's have so far proven themselves to be the best action directors in the MU I can't begin to contain my hype for how they'll use him. Honestly I'm hoping he's not in it too much given how much is already going on but give him an excellent fight scene with some perfectly timed comedic barbs and I'll be there day one for his solo outing

I remember watching a prescreening of Winter Soldier and flipping my lid at the opening boat scene. It was really the first time you saw Cap absolutely -destroy- people
