2016 PC Screenshot Thread of No Compromises

Such a good looking game.

There are no camera tools yet for the Division, right? And since it's an always online game there probably won't be in the future, right? Regardless, I'm surprised the game ended up looking as good as it does.

This is pretty much correct. I can't even be bothered to figure out how to completely remove all HUD elements. So screw it. No screenshots from me.

Auto hide "HUD"
Disable player level
Disable radar
Make sure nothing is selected on the map
Make sure no enemies are nearby otherwise the ammo/skills HUD won't go away

It's exhausting.

I took a few HUD-less photos before growing tired of it. I wish all Ubisoft games, hell all games, did what AC: Unity did which was tie hiding the HUD to holding down one of the sticks.

You play as a female Witcher in Hearts of Stone? D:

No, just using a mod to change the character (as linked above) - you can actually be almost any significant NPC with this mod. Some of the textures are red-masked though and personally the female character "armors" are pretty disappointing if you want to "roleplay" as a female/trans Witcher. You get to hear Geralt's voice and some of the animations are still exclusive to his skeleton, so you get some weird results sometimes. So the mod isn't perfect, but it's pretty cool though after only playing as Geralt for ~80 hours (and the previous 2 games).

Yup. I always seem to have some kind of objective on the screen in the top left corner if I'm in a mission. I can't seem to hide that. And a lot of the game's interesting set pieces are contained within those missions.

The game is super freakin gorgeous though so it's a bit frustrating.

On the subject of The Division, you can sort of move the camera position around a bit if you go into the Interface tab in the Options menu and enable the Dual Monitor setting. On an ultrawide display, it'll 'split' the screen, all HUD elements will align to either side of the screen while the camera is 'centered' on the player in one or the other half of the screen. The game remains somewhat playable in this view (so long as you move the HUD elements using the sliders), though I found the scoped view to actually be inaccurate with rifles (the scope would take up half of the screen, while the reticle was still in the middle of the screen).

I don't have any like for like shots for comparison, but here's a boring shot showing how it aligns.

I think it looks way cooler than the regular centered camera view when you're just running around (one step closer to Gears of War), though it's not really as good for actual gameplay. Especially in DZ.

Two questions:

Does Division PS4 really look that good or are you guys finding the perfect screenshot moments?

Is there any way to open this thread without it making my blood boil and jumping like crazy when I scroll because it's loading all the screenshots?

A lot of the screenshots, especially "artsy" ones, are carefully chosen when the game looks its best, not just The Division. That's OK, there's room for both action/gameplay screenshots and more scenic/artistic ones in this thread.

Edit: and yeah this is the PC screenshot thread lol

Open it in a new tab and keep browsing GAF/whatever while it loads, then return to the tab when it finished loading.

Oh right, posted that in the wrong thread >_>

Ok, so no other tricks? Would be nice if browsers loaded the size of pictures before the actual picture so it doesn't turn into scroll hell.

Some stuff from the beta.

The best way to take screenshots in TD right now is to wallhug plus zooming in with one of your weapons until your character disappears (also for lower FOV). It worked out nicely in the beta.
I also used CheatEngine to slow/fasten time in order to use menu transition to hide the hud. Obviously have no idea what data is handled through their servers now but I think that would still be possible?!

I take back what I just said. Holy fucking shit, DE.

Did you use ReShade for those?

Nice to see you around here :)
