Captain America: Civil War - Final Trailer

I was watching an inflight version of Age of Ultron which was edited for content. Alot of the "naughty" quips like the "zucchini" line were dropped and the film played much better because of it.

They also cut Tony's "prima noctae" line, which I found problematic. If you've seen Braveheart, you know it basically allows royalty to rape their subjects.

The prima noctae line is bad, but really, Stark is exactly the type of character that would say something like that.

I think it's more of Whedon not leaving some of Downey's adlibbing on the cutting room floor.
For all we know, the committee kept telling him to increase the humor. Something definitely went wrong in the editing process.

I'd still love a directors cut :-(

Considering MCU still hasn't made a movie as good as Spiderman 2 in 13 or 14 attempts, yeah good luck with that.

Winter Soldier is Cap and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 tbh.

Overall, I think SM2 is still the best overall comicbook film with Batman Begins, but it's kind of ridiculous to keep hanging it over the MCUs head at this point. None of the fans care about whether or not they make a film that surpasses Spider-Man 2 in the mind of Raimi Spider-Man fans. Especially since not even Sony has made a film better than SM2 yet.

For discussions sake, I think it's fine to bring it up. But idk, just baiting like that is unnecessary. HAVE FUN WITH YOUR MOVIES, SPIDER-MAN 2 IS STILL BETTER THAN ALL OF THEM. It is getting a little old hat at this point.

I wasn't baiting. I thought he was saying the new Spiderman will be better than all Spiderman movies which I thought was comical considering MCU in 13-14 tries still hasn't made a better movie than SP2, though I can see some people debating WS. And it might have been
had Nick Fury died and not come back to life for no good reason. It would have made Cap saving Bucky even more interesting considering he kills Nick Fury...

Other guy already stated it's about quips though, and not overall quality. But when it comes to quips, I actually hope Spidey does have some since it fits the character. Just don't make as lame as it is in most MCU movies.

It's awful. My 7 year old daughter said "what's he talking about?" and I said "I think he means did they stop to eat a salad."

It's just overly juvenile, and its just kinda weird to sexualize Hulk like that, even if it's a Tony line and he's just being stupid. Also Tony made pretty much the exact same joke in the first movie, when Natasha and the others were late to the fight and he says "what did you stop for drive-through?"

Oh I see, yeah you misread his post...

Yeah the Fury thing was odd, but whatever.

I expected the worst from iron man to be honest

Thought that would be it for marvel movies, glad they hit it out of the park B^) love that movie

Lol Terrance Howard L for life

Iron Man 1 falls apart in the 3rd act (kinda like most MCU movies)

I wouldn't say the entire 3rd act, but specifically the final battle between Stane and Stark is a bit of a dud.

Winter Soldier is Cap and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 tbh.

Gotta recognize love for the real best Nolan Batman movie

PG-13 – Parents Strongly CautionedSome material may be inappropriate for children under 13. Parents are urged to be cautious. Some material may be inappropriate for pre-teenagers

It's not like you weren't warned...

lol at Ironman being better than Spiderman 2. Hold that L for taste. I can totally understand someone thinking WS is better than SP2 though. I think it's just barely lower in quality, and it might have been had Marvel given them the greenlight to not be incredibly safe at the end.

My biggest problem with the Raimi films is how they shamelessly played up the damsel in distress trope for 3 straight movies and made MJ unlikeable after SM1. The 3 leads were weak at certain parts of the trilogy, but Raimi being a good director carried those films for the most part. And in SM2 he got just the right amount out of all of them.

The best Spidey title is easily Tom Holland's for the taking.

Controversial opinion time - I kind of think the Raimi Spider-Man movies get held up more than they should because they were some of the only good super hero movies during a down period for the genre.

Excuse me sir she's just a struggling actress/waitress/jerk

lol. Seriously, MJ in the sequels is awful.

In Spider-Man 2 she spends the entire movie wishing her fiance was Spider-Man, also has feelings for Peter, and clearly doesn't really love her fiance. So instead of breaking it off early she waits until the wedding day for maximum emotional and financial damage. Then in Spider-Man 3 she has the audacity to compare her struggling career with the issues Peter faces when he saves New York as fucking Spider-Man.

Blade was better than any MCU or Raimi Spiderman movie.

Come at me.

Not sure about MCU, but I'd say they were better than Raimi's movies

Spider-man 2 is the best super hero movie of all time. If MJ/Dunst was less terrible, it would be the best movie of all time
LOL no. It had the dumbest villain of all time. Dude throws a car at Peter and MJ, because he wants to kidnap her. On top of that, Peter dodges the car without seeing it, and doc Ock still doesn't put 1 and 1 together.

I wonder if there's a way to get this cut of the film without having to get on a plane first.

Because that's probably the only way you could get me to sit down and watch AoU again.

Despite the quality of the TASM movies, I thought Garfield/Stone shat on Maguire/Dunst.

The former had absolute garbage to work with, but I still enjoyed their relationship more. Despite a few really hokey scenes.

I'm hoping Holland Spidey doesn't have a love interest that's integral to the plot in his first film. Just minor hints here and there.

for as much shit as I sling at spiderman 2 I thought doc ock was fairly well done

Andrew Garfield is to the Spider-Man franchise what Pierce Brosnan was to the Bond franchise. A perfect actor for the role who had to carry absolute garbage scripts

Sorry but no, Doc Ock isn't even the dumbest villain in his trilogy. Harry Osborne takes the crown with that one.

I'd argue he's the Timothy Dalton. Top notch casting, well-rounded first film followed by a second with missteps trying to latch onto the then current film trends. Also because I like to think of Tobey as the Roger Moore. That's not knocking Tobey or Sir Moore.

I do want to say that for as much shit as I throw at the Raimi movies, I still enjoy Spider-Man 1 and 2

They're legit enjoyable movies, I have issues with them like some around here but they're in no way F4 tier or anything like that.

The sheer spectacle of seeing Spidey swinging around on the big screen just cannot be overstated enough.

Yeah, the first two Raimi Spider-Man movies definitely have that "experience" factor to it kind of akin to Burton's first Batman movie.

Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 2 are both about as good as Spider-Man 2.

As someone who thinks the Raimi movies are overrated, no, I can't agree with this
