I generally feel joyful when unpleasant people who pick fights with old guys get taken down by their would-be victims. The only thing which taints my joy is the theft of the guy's bag. I hope it didn't contain anything important.

Hopefully the old guy can find a measure of solace in the knowledge that he still has the fists of Odin.

Pretty funny video. The old dude moved away from him to the front of the bus, so it was apparent who escalated it beyond just talking shit. Don't really feel sorry for him.

The black dude in the video was 50 years old; he says this after the white dude says he's 67, so I'd hardly call the black dude young.

The footage shows a grizzled old man standing up for himself after being attacked by a guy who chose to turn a misunderstanding into a pissing contest, and then a fight. The old guy might not be a hero, but the younger guy was most certainly a villain.

I have no idea if the old guy is pleasant when he isn't being harassed on a bus, but I respect his actions and appreciated the outcome.

Wow. Watching some of these posts here... people are going out of their way NOT to call that old white dude racist. He clearly trolled a black person about the guy shining his shoes. He was the 1st person in the audio to bring that up. He claims the black guy said something to him and some of ya'll take that as God's truth... you ever heard of just fucking w/someone or being sarcastic? lol the black guy clearly even said he didn't offer to shine shoes... "But the black guy MUST have said something because the white guy CAN'T be found racist lol." On top of that is the use of the word chinaman but God strike me in the ass with a lightning bolt if I even suggest that this old fart might be racist lol.

I got called a nigger by a white homeless person last yr because I didn't give him change, I swear there would be people here arguing there's nothing racist about that lol. "how old was he? maybe he was just calling you an antiquated term and not really racist".

I've only read the coupla pages here, but I think that old lady was trying to stop the fight. The person egging them on is the camera person. You can tell because her voice is louder than the old lady's (shes closer to the cam.)

But the black guy did say something. He even says he originally said "Why's a brother always got to shine a shoe" or something close to that. The old white guy misunderstood that and thought the black guy was asking if anyone needed a shoe shine. It's quite apparent that the old white guy was fairly confused when the black guy starts to ask him what he's talking about. He then says he thought he heard him offer and tries to clarify that he wasn't trying to demean him because he's black and doesn't have a preference over who shines his shoe.

How the fuck did you miss all of that?

What? Not at all. Anyone who defends the black guy is kinda wrong:

- An old man hears something about shining shoes as he passes by
- Asks if that guy could shine his shoes -> a misunderstanding
- Guy throws a tantrum
- Old man moves away
- Guy gets even more crazy, hits him and gets hit in return
- Old man gets out of the bus, some guys from the bus chase him, so he screams and tries to threaten them

There was very obviously something said before this video started, or the person with the camera would not have got her camera out to start recording. If we don't know what was said before the start of the video, we can't proclaim who is/isn't racist in this video. Well, except for the crazy woman screaming "say it again PINKY!" or "kick that white boys ASS!"
