The GOP is being punished for their obstruction right now! Trump is the logical outcome of their antigovernment, casual racism strategy. He's about to completely self-destruct in the general election. In a Hillary vs. Trump election the Senate is guaranteed blue and there's a chance the House goes blue. Voters who stay home because they hate Trump don't show up in down-ticket races.

Realignment is coming, and it's coming fast.

Trump may be their punishment, but it won't be enough to flip the House, which all they need to continue their obstruction. And any losses they do make in November with be restored and then some in 2018 because Democrats have a piss poor records of getting their voters to vote in mid-terms. I would happy to be proven wrong on this, but history tells me I won't.

Maybe if Trump loses he'll run for Congress.

Trump is not Romney. He's more like Goldwater. History's in the making right now. I genuinely think that the Democrats have a good shot at taking the House this year and making gains in 2018 as the GOP continues to unravel.

Gains in 2018 is crazy talk considering the map the Democrats will have to defend. Democrats will more likely be mourning the likes of McCaskill, Heitkamp, Donnelly, and Tester than gaining seats. The House won't be much different if they pick up a lot of seats this year. I'd be shocked if 2018 didn't result in a Republican majority in both houses of Congress.

Trump could be enough to turn the House blue. There's a very real chance he could lose by 7+ points and put the House is in danger. Gerrymandering can't save Republicans from any and all margins of defeat in November.

I'm not going to lie. I feel absolutely miserable and depressingly let down by the results tonight. I know you guys don't really care since by and large you're for Hillary--congratulations by the way--but I'm just so heartbroken.

I was hanging on for tonight..... But I don't think it's any longer possible. Bernie can't win 100% of the remaining states by 58%. Just cannot be done.

I concede. :/
I'll still support him. I guess all I'm saying is that I'll be less annoying to you guys I'm sure moving forward. Hillary wins.

Even with the gerrymandering of districts you are optimistic of gains in the house this year? I want to believe you.

Anecdotal but in my district for example the only choice I had for Congress in 2012 was Beohner

I admit, I'm very curious how much farther he can take this.

He can take it until he runs out of money.

His chances to win will have evaporated long before the money runs dry though. If Clinton has truly swept all the states tonight, I imagine it is pretty much over.

It is sad. The country had hope for a brief moment, but now we're pretty much guaranteed a warmonger in office, one way or the other.

...and about two good picks for the Supreme Court. Can't forget that one.

It's on till JUNE 7 man. I'm donating to his campaign again( just a tiny amount), but I want to donate to the cause while it's here.

Man Rubio messed up. Never expected Kasich to outlast him.
Well, don't think I can stay awake any longer. They talking about Chupacabras on cnn. Lol

Er, yeah, you're right, lol. I wasn't even thinking. I just wanted to continue the dumb metaphor hahaha.

I can't even argue with this. I hate Gohan!
Poor Gohan, AT ruined him. :(

You're just throwing your money away, man. At least donate it to cancer research, or some charity.

why? Does Sanders even collect money for any other down ticket candidates?

The last time I saw, he had raised $1000 in the 4th quarter for down ticket Dems. Hillary raised $18 million in the same time frame.

Of course, after Senator Sanders admitted last night at his Town Hall that he only entered the Democratic contest for fund raising and media attention, I don't think we should be surprised.

Bernie needs to drop out, at tho splints he is only brews in hatred towards HC.

IDK, maybe it's because I've been watching nearly every single Dem debate, but at this point there isn't much that Bernie says these days that truly damages HC's image. These days all we get is "RELEASE THE TRANSCRIPTS", which is about as substantial as the GOP's "RELEASE THE EMAILS" carnival.

I hate having to put it this way, but I'm probably willing to forgive a somewhat more aggressive foreign policy in exchange for 2-3 SCOTUS picks that'll set the stage for a more liberal movement the next 20+ years. Sometimes the big picture is cruel, but can't be ignored.
