What villain would you like to see in the Marvel-produced Spider-man movie?

I want to see a Carnage and Venom done right but i doubt they will do one of them at spiderman 1.

Do Mysterio and make Shocker have a small role in it too.

First movie: Mysterio

Second: Venom,

After that? Hard to say. The problem with Doc Ock is Molina did such a good job as the character that anyone else would be compared heavily to him.

Gonna echo Mysterio hasn't been done yet by any of the other films and would be a good first film villain. Then use Doc Ock and Green Goblin for the two inevitable sequels in whatever order.

Peter's already been Spidey for like a year by the time he swings over in Civil War

Plus, have a scene near the opening of the Spider-Man movie with JJ/Aunt May/Kraven/MaryJane/Anyone watching news footage of Spider-Man facing off alongside the Avengers. Boom, famous Spider-Man established instantly.

Mysterio could be really cool. I liked that he often tried to basically toy with Spider-Man mentally, and that his origin basically had him be a twisted mirror version of Spider-Man, a guy with talent who couldn't connect to others and developed this sort of "I deserve to be famous" attitude.

Also the fishbowl costume was supposed to be hilariously over the top in the comics so they could have fun with it.

I said it in past threads about new Spiderman movies but I would love a slice of life Spidey movie. I also realize with the way superhero movies are going that this incredibly unlikely but I think it would be great and work especially well with a down to earth hero like Spiderman.

Basically its a movie that follows Spiderman and Peter through a day in the life. It shows everything from the mundane stuff Parker has to take care of like making breakfast for himself while also being late to class because he was up really late the night before foiling a bank heist or something along those lines. It would cover all the classic elements from his homelife with Aunt May, dealing with relationship goals and problems with MJ, of course some time spent with JJ at the Daily Bugle and so on.

In fact just as much if not more of the movie would be about Peter and when he is Spiderman its often the less bombastic stuff that is shown off. Him helping a girl get her cat out of a tree or dealing with a suicidal kid on a ledge, the stuff that the everyday New Yorker loved about Spidey. Of course throw a few supervillians in there. Perhaps the shocker is robbing an armored car and Spidey zips in, makes several quips, pisses him off, and kicks his ass when he's too steamed to concentrate.

The biggest threat wouldn't be the world or NYC but maybe the Rhino shows up just as he's got a big date for MJ, maybe one he plans to propose to her on. Things of that nature. I just would love a film that actually high lights the best of Spiderman without going into insane amounts of empty spectacle or gets sucked into the melodrama.

It doesn't matter who it is, if Marvel keeps up with their formula.

The villain will just be a plot device for the hero to overcome, and then you won't remember them the next movie.

He was great at a very particular Raimi interpretation of the character. They wrote away any 'villainous' behaviour because of the AI thing. He barely resembled the comic book character.

Doc Ock.

But don't just recast, do something completely different from what we've seen before, something bigger and unexpected.

My vote would be something riffing off of the dying Doc Ock from Ends of the Earth. Maybe even do a movie at some point loosely based off that arc since it's full of Avengers cameos.

Hm. Even if it's not an Origin story? Though I get your point, this is high school Peter Parker...

Dangit.

Venom is almost exclusively third movie territory.

-- First movie (origin or not) needs to have fun lovable Spider-Man
-- Second movie puts Spider-Man against an arch foe and introduces the black suit.
-- Second movie has Spidey shedding the black suit before the final battle with the bad guy
-- Second movie ends with the symbiote finding Brock
-- Venom third movie

In general I feel like "Black Suit Spidey" and "Venom" need to be separate movies. This is part of what Spider-Man 3 got wrong. The scene with Brock finding the symbiote in the church should have been the end of the movie or the post-credits stinger.

If they're wanting to go for a John Hughes feeling, you know what they should do? Cast Daniel Stern as Montana and Joe Pesci as Fancy Dan.

"When I get my hands on the Spider, I'll snap off his cajones and boil them in motor oil!"

Who would you cast as Ox or the Big Man?

Oh shit.

I prefer it when Spectacular just rolled them and Shocker into one.

I think that the Venom story works when Peter is a little bit older. Halfway through college, maybe. Make it creepy AF stalker Venom.

I like this idea. Spidey is always great when he has to juggle his real-life responsibilities.

They could always do the clone saga and have Tobey Maguire play an aged-too-fast clone and Garfield play a different clone.

Hahahahaha

I'd like to see Vincent D'Onofrio play the Kingpin and hire one the main baddies like Kraven or Mysterio or Vulture to take out Spidey because he's been doing damage to his criminal enterprises.
Yup bring back D'Onofrio as kingpin and have him hire Kraven for the first movie.

The Sinister Six, I'm tired of waiting to see all of them together.

Edit: They should total get D'Onofrio in there, even if it's just a cameo.

I want this, but not in the first movie. This was part of the reason why I said they should look at Ends of the Earth since it has a Sinister Six vs Avengers fight that when you have that crossover potential, is too good to pass up.

Would be funny if the first time the Avengers actually fight an enemy super team is in a spider-man movie though, lol.

Doctor Octopus is one of my favorite villains in all comics, so he should get my vote, but good luck trying to surpass Spider-Man 2.

Kraven the Hunter could be cool, but they won't be going as dark and serious as Kraven's Last Hunt, so it might fizzle.

Alternatively - have the Kangaroo as a side villain, just so he can be alarmingly stupid and get himself killed despite Spider-Man's warnings.

I've wanted the Vulture more than anything. I think he could probably work now they are going with such a young Spidey and old people are looked at with a lot of contempt these days. It won't happen and even if did it would be the shitty energy vampire crap.

I'd be down for Mysterio, Kraven, Chameleon, the Smythes, or Tombstone as well.

I'd say Morbius but I think the Midnight Sons would probably be better fits for Netflix.
