What villain would you like to see in the Marvel-produced Spider-man movie?

Kraven's Last Hunt doesn't really sound like "first Spidey movie villain."

(If they wanted to do KLH, they should cast Kraven and have him appear as a side character for a movie or two and then do KLH.)

Yeah, this. You have to build up a relationship between Spider-Man and Kraven for KLH to make any sense at all. Either that or you would have to vastly change Kraven's character to make it fit as the first plot with him in. Audiences would think he was a super-intense character if that was their first exposure.

I agree with Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin. They have the perfect actor for Kingpin (D'Onofrio). 6'4" and big, and you can fatten him up artificially even more. He was great in Netflix DD.

Kingpin was a major thorn in Peter's side (and vice versa). He could be the money behind other supervillains. Would love to see Mysterio as well.

I can't see them using Goblin, Sandman, Doc Ock, Lizard, or Electro due to the prior films. but who knows. Maybe enough time has passed. I don't envy the writers, there's too much fairly-recent S-M film history to contend with.

Now you may not agree, but my perfect film would be where Kingpin sets a bomb in NYC, and frames spider-man for it on TV, so the cops are all after him. Then he gives colored keys to each of several super-villains like Hobgoblin, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman which can deactivate the bomb. In the end, MJ is hanging above a boiling vat and Spidey must fight Kingpin and defeat him before she drops in.

D'Onofrio won't be in this movie because Marvel Studios' film department has made it clear they do not give a rat's ass about what the TV department is doing.

Definately Mysterio. Well known, something new and I feel would make a very fun villain. Something not too serious.

Just please god no more Goblin.

When (or before) Sony was rebooting, I thought a Kraven/Lizard three-way fight would've been fucking great. Kraven wants to hunt the Lizard, but Spidey is obviously trying to save Connors instead, while also being a prime target himself.

Mysterio, I guess?

Lead up to a Sinister Six/Master Planner arc.

why are you guys mentioning Kraven?
he is the LEAST recognizable classic villain

By whose standard? Most villains aren't recognizable by the public until they get put on-screen.

Kraven should be like the 3rd movie, he gets smaller roles in the 1st two to build him up, Mysterio is a perfect 1st movie villain. 2nd movie can be whoever.

I like seeing other posters saying Mysterio.

How could you not want to see this guy on the big screen?

Mysterio is a good choice because you can essentially fake out spiderman, make it appear as if all the avengers are dead..and he's the only one around to stop anything (sort of like Post apocalyptic batman in batman vs superman scene)

Mysterio could really do some crazy psychological stuff and toy with Peter's mind. Really want to see him done right. The Lizard also deserves to be done right.

Fuck Ezekiel and his granola crunching spider-totem everything is connected kumbaya bullshit ass.
Lol, this got me good.

Yup. #itsallconnected, but it isn't really. Frustrates me.

Honestly, it's better in some ways. Giving the characters a little space to eek out their own adventures and do their own thing is good. Occasional crossover is fine, but I don't really want TV and movies to slowly evolve into the Summer Crossover extravaganza that the big two Superhero brands have become in comics.

Hydro-Man is a lazy variation of Sandman

Sandman was well done in SM3 until Avi Arad messed it up with his Venom.

I vote for Mysterio since we have never seen him in cinema form yet

I wanted ASM2 to be Mysterio and Chameleon, so I'm still waiting for them.
There's a lot of potential with the Jackal.
I'd love to see Venom redone with Carnage perhaps introduced around the same time.

I'd still like to see a Green Goblin that isn't silly/campy or doesn't completely fucking suck.

And as good as Molina was, I'd like to see an adaptation of Ock more similar to his comic depiction. I especially like his depiction in Spectacular Spider-Man.

I'm perfectly fine with not seeing Sandman ever again. I actually like ASM1 so I feel satisfied with the amount of Lizard that I've seen. I've never been too excited about Kraven.
