Voting in a corporate shill is not fighting the cause that Bernie stands for.

Neither is voting for Trump, which you claimed you will do last night.

With SCOTUS and redistricting on the line, that sort of hissy fit will block any chance of a Bernielution for an entire Generation.

Sucks, but politics is complicated and not at all black and white.

Yeaaaah..... no. Not like this.

A Bernielution? lmao

More like we were absolutely right and got shit on about how shortsighted we were all along. Then when it turns out we were accurate, and weren't making up numbers or carrying overweight assumptions, you suddenly don't want us to talk about it any more?

This outcome has been a long time coming. The reasons it has been coming never changed; you can be upset that it turned out that way, but you don't get to end all discussion surrounding the matter just because it hurts your feelings that we were right.

Man, what. You sound like really oversensitive about this whole thing. Are you sure it's my feelings that are hurt? I was pretty certain Bernie was going to lose from the beginning, and that only became easier to predict as the primary proceeded. It's odd that you presume to understand how I'm thinking.

Saying "I told you so" is incredible immature, no matter how much you try to justify it.

The two bold are at odds with one another.

You don't. But if your trying to argue it doesn't help and expose your message to potential supporters, I don't know what else to say.
I'm saying it's entirely arguable the extent to which he's going to actually help his cause by staying in a hopeless race spending millions in donations on ads against the presumptive Democratic nominee pales compared to alternative methods available.

I for one can not wait for Game Change 3 to come out. I eagerly look forward to an in-depth look at the total CLUSTERFUCK that was Bernie Sander's campaign staff.

Given the Democrats bullshit with sueprdelegates I don't see a problem with Bernie pursuing this options.

How is it bullshit? consdering that super delegates have not decided any of the election wins for Hillary?

And she is winning by all normal democratic factors? Votes and Delegate wins.

The two bold are at odds with one another.

I mean, they made a point of lamenting how bullied Hillary supporters were (something that didn't really happen, especially here on GAF).

I'm also not sure how being oversensitive makes it impossible for one to say "I told you so".

Sanders and his team has made it clear they were only using the DNC, so them wanting to change the rules after they started losing due to their own mistakes is pretty par for the course.

When you argue constantly and passionately against logic and math, "I told you so" is fair game IMO.

You don't get to decide its hopeless though. The numbers although extremely difficult, leave it still possible. It is his supporters and campaign who get to decide if there is hope. Not much else to understand.

Well they were losing from the beginning, to be fair, haha.

If you say so. If Bernie had won, I guarantee people wouldn't like it if Bernie people said "I told you so". I don't know about you, but I prefer not to gloat about anything. Bragging don't make for a pretty personality. More than anything else, it's just rude!

Also I hope this "you" isn't directed at me.

You're complaining about sanders supporters bringing up GE polls, but honestly the way you bring them up here is probably more irrelevant then when they ever did.

It was an example about the shifting acceptability of the types of "evidence" people bring to the table about this election season whenever people mention the word evidence, as you did. In other words, the so-called 'evidence to the contrary' you imply is likely to be just as nonsense.

When you're talking about getting super delegates and convincing committed delegates to go against the will of the people you are in hopeless territory

I don't think most people on an internet forum are really bothered about what another person thinks of them on a personal level. I doubt anyone is losing sleep over Russ T or anyone else thinking they don't have a pretty personality because they pointed out how logic and math work.

And "you" is directed at anyone who fits the shoe.

Dnc hasn't been playing nice with Bernie since day 1

Dws and Hillary are best friends

Bernie can go yolo ham, it's time to go full 2008 emperor hillary

Ninja shit at the next debate

But there is a 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance, he should stay in it wasting people's well intentioned money and trying to hurt the only candidate left who is actually going to be in a position to advance the progressive agenda in any way. These issues he cares sooooo deeply about.

And to achieve that insanely low chance shot at winning, he has to subvert the will of the people, the argument Sanders constantly tries to make he is against. It's hilarious.

That evidence that you presume to be 'just as nonsense" is the very existence of his current campaign and how far its come. You can't deny the numbers and means of that campaign and how far it has come.

I may have sex with Scarlett Johansson one day. The odds may be near a statistical zero, but I'll keep hope alive!

Mathematics and plausible reality decided it's hopeless. He needs to win 62% on average in remaining races including places like NY, NJ, Maryland, Arizona favourable to her. I'm not really interested in flight of fancy nonsense scenarios.

This is what has made me dislike him. He's just wasting time, money etc that needs to be spent on a bigger threat. He's selfish in my opinion and until he steps down I will have a very low opinion of him.

You really like driving home this alleged "logic and math" point, huh. Despite that not being actually what this is about. That's interesting. Keep on keepin' on.

And, hey, maybe you're okay with people being a jerk just because of internet anonymity, but I prefer not to intentionally make someone else's life worse, even if it's just a tiny little bit. If you like that, well, uh... more power... to you? That's your prerogative! Have fun with... whatever you do, I guess.

Lol your posts are too funny, it's you that seems to be taking this personally (which is fine if you're upset at Bernie losing) but 'I told you so' is completely fair game when people have been using math, logic and just common sense to say why it's not gonna happen for Bernie, ever and have been shot down by ridiculous arguments like 40 point wins in California ect.

There is only so long people can entertain that kind of silliness. It's time for all Bernie supporters to understand it's not going to happen, but by all means carry on supporting him if you feel it does any good.

Wait, what is it about if not math? You need delegates...

Yeaaaah..... no. Not like this.

If he tries something like this, he'll look petty and desperate and it would hurt his image

Which is why he should drop out as soon as possible, so he doesn't make some kind of stupid error like this. He's going down Ron Paul fanboy territory, and that's not where someone as respected as Bernie should be heading.

That's quite a thing to say. Why do you think that?

EDIT: I mean, besides the fact that you're all trying to make it personal by making it about me, of course! O:

This is an emotional argument, based on feelings. There are a multitude of options for letting your voice be known; the Presidency is but one of many avenues through which you can exert your voice. Work on the folks who actually author and negotiate laws, for instance.

Y'know what's asinine? Handing over the judiciary to folks who would see your vision buried for a generation.

Let's play-out a possible scenario, shall we?

Let's say that the temper tantrum throwers get their way here: Hillary loses here in 2016.
Great. The wench was too moderate anyway!
Trump or Cruz is elected instead.
The new President nominates Scalia's replacement, one in the mold of Scalia.
Ginsburg or Breyer are pretty old; odds are that one of them doesn't make it through the first term.
The new President replaces one. The court is now 6-3 conservative.
Anthony Kennedy turns 80 in a few months. He sees his shot at retiring when the new President takes office.
That 6-3 majority gets younger. The chance to flip the court to a liberal lean fades.
It'll be a few decades before the court could ever lean left again.

Then, in 2020, the voters have had enough of President Trump's asshattery - glorious backlash election occurs!
Bernie 2.0 is elected.
He brings with him coattails: a Democratic Congress!
The dream is being realized!

Bernie 2.0 and the new Congress set out immediately to enact their agenda.
The first batch of bills hits Bernie 2.0's desk. He takes out his pen and signs it, to great progressive celebration.
And as soon as the ink dries on Bernie 2.0's signature, the GOP or their corporate buddies file suit in court to stop this legislation from ever taking effect.

Ruling.
Appeal.
Appellate ruling.
Appeal.
SCOTUS, by a vote of 6-3 or 5-4, rules to kill Bernie 2.0's legislative achievement.

Repeat for anything remotely controversial that gets passed Bernie 2.0 and his Congress.

Liberals are horrified to realize: "what good is winning in 2020 and beyond if there's a judiciary in place, ready to kill anything that's challenged before them?"

..

I'm guessing that you consider yourself serious about the long-term viability of Bernie's policy agenda. In which case, I'd say it's foolish to condemn that agenda to judicial death for 20-30 years.

Don't give me a response on how you feel. Or how Hillary is too moderate, or too corporate, or too scheming. None of those responses substantively counter what I've plainly laid-out before you. The mechanics of how our system works don't give a damn about your feelings.

If you're at all serious about keeping Bernie's vision alive for the future, so that we can elect Bernie 2.0 knowing that his agenda is viable, there's only one logical choice in November.

Brilliantly put.

Your posts and how ridiculous they are, that's why I say that.

What is ridiculous about them? I'm just trying to have a conversation. I've not attacked anyone (unless you count me saying the phrase "I told you so" is immature). Yet you're here making this personal with me.

Hillary tells Bernie supporters to wait their turn

Maybe Sanders supporters can get protection as a minority group.

I mean your passive aggressiveness is cute and all and I respect the effort but amuse me, if delegates isn't about math then what is it about? Please enlighten me por favor.

Dude is not even a democrat. He should be thanking the DNC every morning when he wakes up, along with Jesus for giving him another day.

I have not been talking about delegates. I'm just talking about the way people treat each other. I've gone on record, multiple times, as hating it no matter who does it: Bernie fans or Hillary fans.

I'm not being passive aggressive! I genuinely can't understand why you think it's fine to be rude, just because internet anonymity makes it possible. I admit to doing stuff like that many times in the past, but I stopped because, I dunno, I realized it was immature!

Bernie gonna win by redistributing delegates like they were wealth.

Dude is not even a democrat. He should be thanking the DNC every morning when he wakes up, along with Jesus for giving him another day.

Yes he is. He joined the party in order to run.

Everything, telling people they're making peoples lives worse because they've said "I told you so".

Sounds like you're subconciously talking about yourself and even if you're not it sounds ridiculous.

All the Bernie supporters that have completely ignored hos unfesible it is for him to get the nom and are acting out deserve a reality check, it's as simple as that.

Well, I mean, if you think he's saying that you're being rude to him, then, I mean, maybe you should be less rude to him?

Just a thought!

I'm not sure that this concept of "deserving" a reality check is meaningful. Sanders supporters mostly all just got a reality check. They're probably all topped up right now.

How am I talking about myself? I'm not hurt in the slightest. I'd just prefer people be nicer to each other.

You're blowing my "making people's lives worse" comment way out of proportion. It is strictly true that being rude makes someone's life worse, but it's not a big deal at the end of the day. That's why I specified "even a tiny little bit" when speaking of my own personal approach!
