GTX 690 user here.
How good was the Dark Souls 2 PC port? Did it have SLI support? Was SLI supported right off the bat?
I'm hoping I'll be able to use my gpu to it's fullest rather than worry about dips when using only half of it.

It was the definitive version by miles.

Would I be able to run the game at 30fps on PC with my GTX 580?
I don't have the time nor interest to upgrade my PC for this.![]()

Seems fine, especially performance-wise.
It's actually surprising how little hardware seems to be needed for 60 FPS, given that it's a 30 FPS game on consoles.
That's trivial to circumvent though.
Going in with a i7 6700k and a GTX980ti build that was bought specifically for this game.
I shouldn't have any issues with playing this at 1080/60 on top of streaming it out at 720/60 right?
Oh the streaming will put quite a load on your CPU. Can't be sure.
Why not just release the game for everyone then? Makes no sense.Apparently this Wednesday popular streamers will be given access to the PC version; so all arguments will be settled then.

Looks nice, hopefully driver HBAO+ works well with this.
Performance sounds good, it's going to be a long 3 weeks.
- "GTX 770 enough for 60fps in highest settings". GTX 760 offers around 40-45fps in max. settings. So take the GTX770 numbers with a grain of salt. I think you will have to turn some settings down on the GTX770 or play with 50fps average.
Well, if this is true then the performance in the IGN stream is a complete mystery.
Dipping to 40s in simple outdoors areas on a 980...
Why are we going from 60 to 53 to 40s now? Don't remember it ever going under 53.
What I saw from the stream was 60 inside buildings, 50s when outside and fighting with one enemy, and frequent dips to 40s as soon the scene was a bit more busy with 3-4 enemies.
It was actually quite frequent when they weren't simply walking around.
60 fps with a 770? Isnt a 770 basically the same as a 680, and isnt a 680 basically the same as the 7870 in the PS4? What´s with the 30fps on consoles then?
Wasn't the IGN stream 30 FPS? At the very least both the Youtube and IGN player videos are 30 FPS. So I dunno how you'd be able to tell the framerate that way

You don't measure fps in a game with your biased eyes, you measure fps by looking at an overlay. The video being at 30fps doesn't affect the overlay they had on.

Any word on 21:9 or Surround support? Past games always required tinkering in my recollection.
Minimum is a GTX 750 Ti, recommended is a GTX 970.
Dark Souls II, by comparison, required a 9600 GT (lol) and recommended a GTX 465.
As others have pointed out, the PS4 is closer to a 7850, and the AMD equivalent of 770/680 is a 7970, not 7870.
