Yeah, Dawn of the Dead is still his best movie.
There's a second dream?
Also, those cameos are near the end? I was under the impression that they were around the midway point.
You clearly can tell they put it in there because needed an action sequence, but I don't mind it.Knightmare is visually awesome but a waste of goddamn time in this movie.
Flash showing up looking like he was just LARPing at a steampunk festival fucked me up
And then revealing everybody else in surveillance footage/15 second cameos was just lame

You do realize cutting an hour off the movie would actively make it worse, right? Like the length is literally only an issue if you're referring to it not being long enough. Do you have any idea what you're even talking about?
Dawn of the Dead? Written by James Gunn...
man, too many threads
What's the worst aspect of the film with respect to shoehorned DCCU setup? Knightmare? Sounds like it has some cool visuals but otherwise completely stops the film's narrative dead for the sake of Justice League setup.

I'm fairly sure the entire Diana / Wonder Woman character could be removed with little effect but not as easily as the Knightmare section.
The Justice League cameos are also just there, really.
The Knightmare will just confuse people. Probably the easiest thing to remove from the movie.

The second dream with Flash is immediately following the Knightmare bit. It's literally a dream in a dream. Bruce wakes up from Knightmare to be faced with Flash screaming in his face.
The cameos aren't at the very end but towards the end.
This one was strange. It felt that Wonder Woman was there only to promote her own and Justice League movies. It felt like she was written in in a hurry. She wasn't introduced at all. Now they expect people to know who Wonder Woman is.
What do you guys think the RT/MC ratings will be?
Would I be correct in saying that it feels like WW is in the film more because someone arbitrarily decided that they "had to" put the whole Trinity together before JL, rather than because they had an actual story idea for her? That's what I've feared since it was announced she was in the film.
But at least it sounds like Snyder/Terrio do a fairly good job with the character in whatever screen time she has, so it could have been a lot worse?
Not to invite further Iron Man 2 comparisons. WW's role is akin to Black Widow in that film.
And plot relevanceExcept less ass and more stab

I just remembered Bruce's email to Diana:
THIS IS YOU!

WHATS GOIN ON HERE?!
Maybe I'm biased, but I liked her role. She has maybe 15 mins in the movie.
She's more relevant to Bruce (he does have an eye for pretty ladies) and it gave him someone to do something with at the end if they were going that route with Superman.
Or I guess another way, I never felt that she felt out of place in this movie or that her scenes slowed down anything.
This part cracked me up
Not because of the scrolling, but it wasn't a long e-mail
Where was it so many lines?
Like was Bruce hitting enter for dramatic effect?
BRUCE TYPES IN ALL CAPS AND SPACES FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT BECAUSE HIS PARENTS ARE DEAD.

This is good to hear. We have been missing a team up vs. one villain on film. I was hoping Age of Ultron would do it, but they didn't.I loved that most fights are dirty. No grace when Batman and Superman throw down. Doomsday fight was cool and unique to see multiple heroes fight one villain with combo attacks. Usually in comic films, it's against an army or one on one.
why didn't Bruce just put kryptonite bullets in those miniguns
EDIT: whoops, sorry for the double post
Because of the script! Which was full of these stupid holes.

Sooooo
The embargo is about to go up on reviews and the Tomatometer is not going to be kind to the movie...
Batman's motivations are pretty clear. He's displayed as someone who's reached the point where he inflicts suffering on people. It's not just about justice with him anymore. And in regards to killing him, it's literally said out loud for you. I think this is a case of you not really paying much attention. The only character in the movie who has muddled motivations is Lex but they try to bring it back at the end of the movie.I felt like everyone's motivations were really muddled. Like, obviously Bruce wanted to stop Superman, right? But did he ever actually want to kill him? Near the end there it sure seemed like it. But if he did want to kill Superman, there are like a billion better ways to do it than what he tried. And if he's supposed to be a supergenius detective with perfect planning capabilities, he could have figured those out.
Bruce Wayne is an anti-Mary Sue.
I liked when Batman turned on the signal and then waited, staring at the sky for a good 30 minutes for Superman to show up.

I heard people say they film should have been shorter, while others wanted more to iron out some issues....
This is going to be MoS all over again. Luckily this time our new cycle (who is doing the image?) won't last as long. Suicide Squad is coming in August.

Sounds like we're less than half an hour away from Meltdown City.Friend works at RT![]()
He says that it's looking like in the 60s or 70s.
Let's see...
And people on this site who have shared their reactions?Sooooo

Not a flop, but my friend has come down from his hype levels of excitement and pretty much confirms the movie has some deep flaws.
That Mexican reviewer that said the movie was amazing, incredible and bla bla bla? Paid reaction, obviously.

I mean, come on now. It's been over a month since I saw the movie, and even with so much that had happened, and my memory of it diminishing due to time, I don't seem to be as confused as some of you. Film is a visual medium. Scenes of Batman going off the rails are there for reason. They give insight to his character.
We got RT insiders here
Whoooooops
Wouldn't that be a massive success considering how MoS was in the mid-50s?EDIT: Sorry, he meant in the 80s probably.
The film is a discordant and almost three hour experience. There are some good and bad things, but still better than Man of Steel. [Full review in Spanish]
Not only is this a big let down in every sense, it makes you wonder if the rest of the DC Comics films will have the same fate. [Full review in Spanish]
It's clear in that you understand his issue with Superman, and the plan with Batman, but I had difficulty with the extreme he went to with Spike-Hulk. That's where he lost me a little. As in, why that far? He becomes a bit too much of a maniac with that move I felt. (And that's saying something considering what he does in this movie.) Not that I'm really complaining since I still liked his character, but I want him reigned in a little.I don't know, I think Lex's motivation is fairly clear.
He just wants to destroy the image of Superman as a symbol of godliness.
He sets Batman on him, in hopes that either Batman would kill him or Superman would kill Batman proving he's only a man.
He creates Doomsday as a back-up plan to destroy Superman
And then when those failed, he's like let me just call other alien species!
