Sharknado set out to be a dumb bad movie and succeeded at that goal. This set out to be a serious in tone superhero epic and apparently fails.
Most of them are. This movie will make at least a billion.

How low can we go?
The same "critics" that have Sharknado sitting at a 82%. We're supposed to take these scores serious.
Most be a bunch of hate for Snyder or maybe those critics expected a different movie. Or maybe cause Batman is a lot darker in this. Who knows. Just seems like senseless trolling at this point. User scores will be no different but I expected trolling from them.
"People say its the yellow sun, but if you want to know where Superman really gets his power, its those fields."
So young, still so optimistic, the world hasn't destroyed your soul yet.
Taking a look strictly at the 10/10 and 9/10 accounts, you can clearly see they are tons that are only a few days old with only the one movie review under their belts. I won't spam you with all the user account links, but here's an example of what I mean: http://www.imdb.com/user/ur65929724/[6]
Fails at being serious or fails at being epic?
I don't get it.
This is a huge bummer. I wasn't expecting anything in the 90's but this low? How? I just can't see how it's that bad. I'll be seeing it tomorrow and I don't always put much stock into reviews for movies like this but this is disappointing to see.
Great read.
My earliest superhero memory that I can summon up with any clarity was watching the Richard Donner Superman with my dad, and theres this amazing shot after Pa Kent dies. Its Clark standing in a wheat field with Ma Kent talking about how it's time for him to go, to be Superman. My dad, in a not-infrequent moment of poignancy says "People say its the yellow sun, but if you want to know where Superman really gets his power, its those fields."
That's oddly beautiful.

Damn... that's good.
Batman and especially Superman are slightly bigger cultural touchstones than Thor or a yellow car.Such vitrol.
People really need to get a grip over themseleves. They are making it out to be like its the worst film of all time. Going overboadr here. Why didn't they write this for Thor 2 or shitty Transfomers? Why pick on this film alone?
...this is going to have zero legs and a huge dropoff, isn't it?
Great read.
That's oddly beautiful.
Week 2 should be interesting.
Fox should spin up a few Deadpool commercials immediately. Get a few digs in at Superman and urge people to see Deadpool again.

Damn... that's good.

Is the average rating on RT updated? I would have expected some fluctuation on that.

I feel like you didn't even read the article. He's not reviewing the film. He hasn't seen it. He's just saying, "Hey, you're not obligated to go watch this thing if you feel like it's going to taint your perception of the character." It's super tame and a weird thing to get worked up about.
I mean, GQ said this movie will make you hate comic books. Now that's vitriol.
For the love, someone get Clint McElroy to write a Superman comic stat.

Damn, how come almost everyone gets it, but Snyder doesn't
If you want vitriol, watch the moviebob review.
You know, I predicted a 78-80% score, so this is certainly a huge surprise..to say the least. The thing that isn't surprising is the "Why not Marvel?" line that I keep seeing pop up..y'all are a trip. Just enjoy the movie. Whatever the reviewers think won't take anything away from your enjoyment of it..
Lmao I forgot all about that commercial![]()
You aint doing shit with your life this weekend anyway. Go see Batman v Superman.

That's what I'm waiting to see. I should also be watching next weekend 😁Week 2 should be interesting.
That'd be quite brilliant, and I'd imagine had already been discussed. It's the obvious play, for sure..Fox should spin up a few Deadpool commercials immediately. Get a few digs in at Superman and urge people to see Deadpool again.
