Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

Are weapon arts meant to be unusable once the focus bar is depleted? I'm still able to preform the special attacks with melee weapons even after the bar's gone without any negative aspect to it.

Anor Londo was actually mine. Those archers and then O&S actually broke me. I would have quit the game if I hadnt found out about summoning. Since then the series has probably become my favorite series atm (I wont say ever because even at 4 games its still an infant), but that moment, I never felt such frustration with a videogame. Nothing in DS2 or BB came close, which is normal of course since now Im at least used to the games.
My current near finished playthrough on dark souls is actually my third attempt lol and I had a similar issue. First time I gave up at like, the tutorial for a month, came back had no idea what I was doing and had no idea how builds worked and somehow managed to find my way to OS except I didn't have Xbox live or humanity and trying to fight O and S alone for the first time with a shit build was not fun. After that I quit for a while, picked up ds2 beat it fairly easily with few issues then came back to Dark Souls 1 and had infinitely less trouble, everything past O and S was a bit of a cakewalk and even O and S was made kinda trivial when I just spammed r2 and staggered smough with the zweihander. So really I could finish it at this point, I only have Nito, Manus, Kalameet and Gwyn left.
I just really don't enjoy being kicked off ledges.

A spoiler about Yoel of Londor.

I finally decided to use him for the free levels after reading up on him but he had been murdered (at least I think he was; he's a corpse now). I guess no free levels this playthrough. I think I know who did it, but I can't find him. I appreciate this aspect of the Souls games, but it can be a bit nerve wracking.

Did you notice the new companion next to him?

Holy shit...holy...shit...

People who said the game has uninspired bosses....your wrong. Holy shit...

I just fought the
The Abyss Watchers.
And they've become my favorite boss in Souls history.

Everything from the set piece.
Dark wraiths BESIEGING THE BLOODY KEEP.
To the music, atmosphere, and design are amazing.

I'm still left dumfounded.

Hey guys, wondering if someone can help me.
I went to the top of this tower via the lift, and at the top is a giant. He asked me who I am. What should I be answering?

BTW,
Crestfallen Legionary gave me a ring as thanks for putting his brothers to rest
does anyone know what it does?

And I just joined
The covenant from the black sif look-a like
what is there role?

I'm still early on, beat five bosses so far. Enjoying it a lot even in Japanese, the last area I did was really great
Cathedral of the Deep
...but the bosses so far are super disappointing unfortunately, I'm a bit bummed by it.

Damn G
wyndolin V2
(
Anor Londo
area bossfight spoiler — about 15 hours in the game and a big spoiler). That second phase is rough.

Edit: Beat it. Turns out its name was A
ldritch, Devourer of Gods
(which is a pretty badass monicker I must say).

Yes.

Where it is:
In the swamp area, entering from the high up bonfire, keep to the right wall, drop down a couple platforms, continue along the right wall (kill the enemies or run past them), enter the door, in this long corridor, go to the end, past a black knight (possible to skip by dropping down behind him), to get the coal

Hmm thanks that should be all the hint I need but I'm still having trouble finding it -

is it up the ladder / up the elevator past the bonfire, all the way up on the castle wall where the stray demon is on one end and the dead dragon on the other, or is it down near the swamp?

Damn it..Can anyone tell me what the item is right at the start of the W
olnir
boss fight was? I assumed I could get it after the fight, but nope.

As much as I understand why this game has auto save, as most "modern" games do, I kind of wish I could create new save points after trying out different kinds of weapons.

By the way, I of course hate you all for the next 2 weeks and 3 days

so getting cursed in this game
just means you just die straight up? no hp penalty and all having to get a purging stone? because thats what happened when I just ran into our old frog friends in the swamp.

Whaaaat. I'm only 3 bosses in but so far only the first has been pretty average.

So happy no one spoiled me on a nice bit I played earlier tonight...

A bit shocked at how large areas seem to be. Going to be interesting to see how speedrunners abbreviate them.

The pacing is very good. I keep ending up with no flasks left and the "do I push forward?" tension is back in a real way.

Wish I hadn't gotten the flu earlier this year so I could take off a couple days of work to polish this off in a multiday marathon, but alas I have to be responsible and keep going to the office.

Dark Souls 3 is the second game I've ever taken time off work (or school) in 37 years for.

I think I chose wisely

Same as DS2 then

Why would you undermine someone bothering to spoiler something by summarizing it in plain text immediately below their spoiler tag? I'm not particularly bothered to have read that but it's such a weird thing to do.

I really got stop reading this thread until I'm done with my first playthrough.

You would still to read his spoiler to know what i was replying to, and is that really something to get upset over,
curse effects
in the third game in the series? I forgot how sensitive some people are to spoilers I guess, ill change it, I apologise.

My love for
cold
valley increased when I entered that room
with a black knight looking at Gwynevere's picture
. very cool and unexpected.
