Two of the bosses so far in this game has been 10/10 quality and I don't rate Souls bosses that high unless they're as good as Flamelurker and Allant

Well, in search of a certain key item I needed I found a boss I skipped
crystal mage ez mode
and an entire new, beautiful area.

Love this god damn Great Club.
 
I did this whole area that's like this
firey underground area with a big ballista shooting bolts at you, there's a giant worm and a demon boss at the end in a room full of dead aslyum demons...
is this a dead end? I killed this boss and I'm not sure if there's anything else in this area.

I haven't seen the second one but I did the first one and the music made it pretty epic.
 
Is it known whether there's more content in NG+, like extra invasions/boss souls in DS2 for example?

I've read reports that some people finish the game in
20h easily, I'm very concerned now :( Every other Souls game was 40h+ for blind playthrough, even if you were doing fine on bosses.
 
Is there a way to increase the potency of the Estus flask?

I am actually enjoying the game a lot now. Just randomly exploring is so much fun, I feel like the areas are massive.
 
Any of you guys got a recommendation for a weapon for someone who loved dual cestus in DkS 2? I ran the handaxe in 1 and liked it, too. I like being quick and punchy.

It's not a lady on his back, it's his brother, Lothric, the actual LoC despite his sickly appearance (which is thanks to being the offspring of a half-dragon).

With the gesture you picked after Ocieros, go to the bonfire of the prison area before Yhorm, from there go to a door at the other side of the prison that you probably unlocked as a shortcut before hand, it'll take you to a lift that leads to a place with some corpses of knights and a dragon-man who are sitting. Do the gesture alongside the dragonman.

I feel like I've been playing easy mode on the xbox version. One shotting most bosses and making my way through new areas relatively easy.

Maybe something to this?

Streamers have finished it in
20-24
hours, but so far it seems no one has done all three endings on one character, or discovered everything.

Most non streamers have reported it's closer to
30-35
hours for a blind playthrough, with varying skill levels.

Don't worry, it's got content.

We still haven't seen any major news from NG+ yet, even.
 
just defeated my second lord of cinder
aldritch, devourer of gods
that lore behind his moniker. mindblown.gif. he was pretty easy, especially compared to the one before, but the location and fight were definitely awesome. that's two superb boss fights back to back, seems they saved the better ones for mid to late game, some of the bosses before we kinda meh imo.

as far as length goes, i'm about 26 hrs in so far and i imagine about 2/3 through, 40 hrs for my first playthrough sounds like a good length.

from Bloodborne more tbh, but the fights are very similar imo and it certainly has been one of my top fights in this game so far.

I'm lost and need help on where to go after the 3rd boss.

I made it to the poison swamp-like area and made it to the second bonfire here, but everything seems like a dead end or takes me back to the first bonfire. Am I supposed to be here?

Has it? I've seen enemies that took 70-80% of someone's health on PS4 and the same enemy took like 20% at most on xbone. I haven't been paying attention to any investigations so I won't assume to know any better.

If that is the area I'm thinking it is, you need to extinguish three flames to open a big gate just past that bonfire. The three flames are all up stone steps in various places on the swamp. Just go up to them and press circle and you'll see a cutscene where your character puts the fire out.
 
So is co op working on this? I'm uk based and bought the jap version on xbox one. I've not seen any summoning signs anywhere. I am only at the 3rd area though so should I have everything I need to summon/be summoned?

There are other two or three i think are even more epic and difficult. That music, that scenery. i wish i wouldn't have seen those, but i was weak.
