I made this comment I think earlier in this thread but it was like WB saw the issues with MoS and thought the solution was to give him more to work with.Damn, 29%.
I'm so torn on Snyder. To use the comic book analogy again, I think he is a great artist. Just put an image of Cavill in the suit next to one of Brandon Routh in the suit. There's no comparison. Snyder's approach is a quantum leap forward. Look at his Batman suit versus the awful TDK suit. It makes such a difference when the director knows how to translate these characters to celluloid.
But as great a visual stylist as Snyder is, he needs to take a backseat when it comes to storytelling. Instead, Warner appear to be treating him like an auteur, letting him do whatever he wants. The problem is Snyder thinks he can do it all and he can't.

Age of Ultron is a failure on every single level. There's not a single good thing about it. BvS only fails on some levels, and even those are mostly fixable, or just not that important.
I'm getting some good free entertainment from this thread lol..
Age of Ulton wasn't terrible, it was just utterly forgettable for me. I have zero desire to ever rewatch it, revisit it, or think about it.
this movie was way better than Age of Ultron. I felt like that wasnt a complete movie, whereas with this one they gave us 2.5 movies in one.
there was a lot going on, but at least i didn't feel like i was being treated like an idiot. there's some stupid stuff, though.
It's a different discussion, and I'm thinking people who really enjoyed the movie would probably like to be spared all the jokes in here. Shit..some have come in and told people this thread is stupid multiple times. I'd leave things as they are, unless the point is to watch people fight..Is it possible to merge the official OT thread with this? Feels like discussion is getting splittered. Would be good to be all in one thread after final RT scores.

Pretty much where i am with bvs right now. I usually see a movie twice in theaters...not this timeAge of Ulton wasn't terrible, it was just utterly forgettable for me. I have zero desire to ever rewatch it, revisit it, or think about it.
I don't see this as a positive.this movie was way better than Age of Ultron. I felt like that wasnt a complete movie, whereas with this one they gave us 2.5 movies in one.

Nah. Just the Batman talk has me entertained enough..I'm sure it'll be worth my $8.You'll probably get much more entertainment out of this thread than out of the movie.
The movie exists so that Vision and Scarlet Witch can exist in the MCU. There is absolutely no other reason for it to exist. Nothing about it stands on its own.
Also, the plot is fundamentally nonsensical when you really break it down. What is Ultron actually trying to do at any point in time? So he recruits the twins to help him get some vibranium so that he can build a new vibranium body for himself with the help of some scientist in Seoul, so the whole second act is about stopping him from getting that body, only he gets a vibranium body anyway... and at that point he says fuck it and decides to drop a floating landmass on the planet. It's a big fat mess.
The only superhero I've seen with a more fundamentally broken, incoherent story was Batman Returns. (Quick, what is the actual plot of that movie?)
Movies like Age of Ultron and Tomorrowland, where absolutely nothing works at the story level, I always just wonder how they got made. Didn't anyone outline the plot structure in advance?
At least BvS contains its tie-ins to a dream scene and one inoffensive email scene. The whole goddamn movie isn't a tie-in.

The Vogue-ing scene in this?Tell me this is not the best thing you have ever seen:

Heck, Furious 7 and Deadpool ripped it off. Influential as fuck.
I did not like Ultron. BvS is worse.Ultron could have been good if they had focused on the planet-killing plot from the beginning. Instead the entire second act exists solely to bring Vision into the film series. It's some of the clumsiest plotting I've seen in a blockbuster movie outside of the Bayformers series.
I now feel terrible for mentioning AoU..jus plz stop lol

Better than Thor 2. And we're done here? What do you think about Iron Man 3?
Nope not answering thisWhat do you think about Iron Man 3?
If I actually sat down and explained why and how you're wrong, would actually listen or would you remain closed minded and obstinate for the sake of your own ego?
Alright, I won't bother then, thanks for saving me the effort.Well when you lead off with a post like this one, how could I ever not?
Didn't realize we had a bond-fide professor in here to correct my unbearable ignorance.
I'll try not to let my ego get in the way, Doc.
