Enter the Gungeon (PS4 / PC) hits April 5th, new trailer

Had this game on my Steam watchlist for aaaaaaaages, finally it is coming out!

Had no idea if was coming to a console too, hmm I'll have to decide what to get it on.

Too bad its so close to Dark Souls 3 which will consume my time.

Really eager to play this again. Played it at PAX South.

Here were my impressions from another thread:
Everything was randomly generated. Every character has a roll, as opposed to the one character in Nuclear Throne. Gunplay was fun and addictive. Didn't get too far in today's playthrough(just made it to the second phase of the dungeon), but enemies seemed to have a good amount of variety. Like it says in the OP, you can flip tables(maybe more items) to create cover. There were also power-ups which used the table in other, unique ways. One was "Flips of Fury", which gave you a little berserker boost when you flipped a table. Not sure if it made your bullets more powerful, but it definitely made you shoot faster. There was also another power-up that, once you flip a table, would transform it into a rocket and launch it forward into any enemies in its path. I fought two bosses; one which was a giant, ripped bird with a minigun. The other was a pair of giant bullets. Both were a blast to fight, giving me a fair challenge. Can't wait to play more.. Probably gonna play it one last time tomorrow. The line for it was long!

Just a head's up for everyone that you can get an extra 20% discount on top of the 10% for the pre-order on Green Man Gaming.

Man, this looks so good. Looks like every gun/item/enemy/etc. has a piece of lore/blurb
An hour of gameplay from a streamer I enjoy

Can anyone explain how you progress in this game? Seems like a rogue-like, which isn't terribly appealing. That said, is it like Rogue Legacy where there is still a sense of progression?

This is meta progression, and things you do will affect later playthroughs
One additional thing that I will mention about gungeon, is that the dungeons are procedural generated, but they aren't random. There are things that will be integrated into a dungeon's generation BECAUSE of things you've done in the past- and this is important for the player's meta progression. As an example, there is a special quest you can kick off by finding a secret early in the game, which will place a special boss on one of the later levels until you beat him. If you didn't find the secret, that boss will not be included in the generation. There are a number of things like this, and because of that different player's dungeons as a rule are going to generate differently. We think that this adds some story and weight to the dungeon runs, but it also means that seeds work differently in our game by default than other similar games. To do a weekly/daily feature right, we would need to exclude all of that player progression meta from the dungeons generated for that mode. That is absolutely something that we can do and figure out, but its just a matter of doing it *right.* And for now, getting the base game *right* is our biggest concern.

|OT| Gungeon Master
Too much gungeon in one title :p

Probably going with with Enter The Gungeon |OT| Praise the gun

1) A Dark Souls reference, so it works as fantasy reference tweaked with a gun-related theme
2) Fits with the bullet cults and ballistic fantasy theme of the game

"The gun that could KILL THE PAST" is a pretty crazy plot point. Haven't figure out a good way to work that into a subtitle though.

Why not an Isaac and/or Nuclear Throne reference?

Is there any character progression?
So far you at least unlock extra features like a store to unlock more guns/items, a level skip and stuff like that. I think you also unlock some items through progress.
