The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon - Announcement Trailer (Launches Fall 2025 on Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC)

jshackles

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

The prophesied end of the Zemurian continent draws near, and so does the launch of humanity's first foray into space. A sudden invitation from Marduk to cooperate in a high-tech training exercise sets Van Arkride, Ashen Chevalier Rean Schwarzer, and Father Kevin Graham on a collision course with the secrets at the very core of Zemuria.Their paths may diverge, but the ultimate question remains the same: Just what lies beyond the edge of the horizon? Find out when The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon launches on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC in Fall 2025!

NISA has announced the localization of Farewell, O Zemuria will be coming this fall

which means we’re getting 3 games from 3 publishers this fall from this series by my count?

Sky 1 Remake
Farewell, O Zemuria
Ys vs Trails

I'm near the end of Trails in the Sky the 3rd. Good to see my boy Kevin is still kicking around in the latest game.
Hah, I also noticed the guy in the miniature seems to be Kevin and I was wondering if it was Kevin from Sky the 3rd or just another character that looked like him. People weren't lying when they said it's a huge saga.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
HELP

I CANNOT KEEP UP

This is a fantastic problem, and yet... still a problem. I started my replay of Trails of Cold Steel 1 in a gambit to catch up on things... and because I needed a refresher since it's been 9 years since I played Cold Steel 1. The latter half of CS2 and everything after are all new to me, so I'm excited for what's coming up.

I know people keep going on about how good the Crossbell games are, but honestly... I think the jump to CS1 was a massive improvement in combat quality, exploration, music, and the pacing of story objectives. Point is, I'm like 100 games behind and couldn't be happier to be in catch up mode.

So is this Daybreak 3? Or a side story in the same arc? Either way sounds great and looking forward to it.

I’ve nearly finished Reverie so I might be caught up in time

as I understand it essentially this is Daybreak 3 but someone correct me if I’m wrong

Correct. Third game in Calvard act.

ALSO:

PH3 will be helping also. That means Divine Blade of Tech Durante will be at it again :pie_raybans:

Finally. After that bombshell that dropped near the end of Cold Steel 4, we're finally learning what lies ... beyond the horizon~. Will we find out Zemuria is actually a part of Nayuta world after all and everybody's fucked? (probably not)

Also an important milestone: This is the first time in history the West has been in parity with Japan on Kiseki. Truly a momentous occasion.

One non-story, game production related spoiler for the mega fans:

VGM king Unisuga has composed the final boss track for this game. He's not back, tragically - the track is a leftover from many years past, drawn from Falcom's stash of unused music - but from everything I'm told, it's just as glorious as you'd hope, as always a joyous breath of fresh air from Singa's slop.

This is the important part. Falcom is still working with NISA, and NISA works with Durante. Despite all the various publishers with their hands in other Falcom properties right now (for Trails in the Sky 1 Remake and Ys vs. Trails), our lord Durante is still handling the porting for the original, mainline entries.

Unisuga is the GOAT. Not surprised that a leftover track from him is better than most other tracks.

Jindo and Koguchi are incredibly talented too, their tracks are the ones I look forward to the most.

Singa... His combat themes are incredibly mid. Sometimes he makes something good but it's rare. Quite a few of his environment and event themes are pretty good though, he should stick to those.

Let's go!!! , finally we will have catch up with Japan releases, this is absolutely amazing.

Awesome series, no other one does what this one has done, I understand in non English speaking countries it's still niche because amount of text, but I always recommend it to anyone who likes great world building, great characters and development, adventures, humor, epic fights and an incredible overarching story..

It's not so obscure as it was some 10 years ago, but still, people don't know what they are missing.

Kevo is back, Rean GOAT Schwarzer is back, Van The Man Arkride is back, this will be awesome!!

I just can't with this series anymore. I love it so much but how the hell do i ever get caught up?!? Still at the beginning of 4 and they just keep releasing new game after new game.

Does Durante do all the Trails games? I only have Sky 1-2 and Cold Steel 1-2 on Steam
I'm still at Sky 1 lol

Durante's done Zero&Azure and every game starting from Cold Steel 3 on. Sky 1-3 and Cold Steel 1-2 were handled internally at XSeed. XSeed did a fine job by the way; it's just that Durante goes above and beyond in feature strength and options.

I can't wait til you guys experience this game. You are in for a ride is all I'm saying

Sept Terrion Of Nothing Sept Terrion Of Nothing

I can't wait for you to especially experience this game. As a fellow Trails/Kiseki Connoisseur, you will love this one. I love your username, wish I came up with that 👀

Aw, thanks man :messenger_horns:. I'm really itching to play right now, now that we know the general release date :messenger_loudly_crying: Also if you are saying that I love it, I'll be in for a real feast because you are "Biggest Trails Stan" after all :lollipop_raising_hand:

To tell you the truth I'm looking forward to play as Rean again. I like every protagonist in the series of course but his place is different in me.

You see, I entered Trails series with Cold Steel 1, oblivious to the fact that every Trails games share connected story. But l'm really happy it was happened that way. Long story short and spoiler-free, he is really my man among all protagonists.

PS: Also it is true that I may have a big old soft spot for Eight Leaves practitioners 🤷‍♂️ :messenger_sunglasses:

I can't wait for the inevitable exposé on Falcom's sweatshop working conditions to come out.

They're in the fucking hyperbolic time chamber cranking out games faster than they can be played.

GOOD LORD! I have trouble keeping up with the Yakuza games (i'm about 2 games behind)

but no way could I do this whole series.

Are they long? Like is each game about 30 hours or so?

I played Nayuta last year. Definitely recommend it. Doesn't have much to do with the above mentioned games story wise. Its more or less a stand alone thing.
