No, that is the shitty WWE way of doing things where you essentially would be burying Bayley.
Making her in the match the entire time but slowly getting ground down made her look good for when she does come back and still made Asuka look even stronger.
The WWE way of completely shitting on someone to make someone else is dumb and always fails.

I think there's quite a difference between being fluent in English and being able to deliver a promo. God knows how much native english speaking talent WWE has on the books who cant do that.

This is why people such as Paul Heyman are worth their weight in gold.

Last night was the first time the Revival showed some personality. The way they hugged when the crowd taunted them. The in-ring storytelling is great, but it would have been nice to get some promos from the two to build some character. It's the same problem with the Dubstep Bros, who pretty much no one remembers anymore. All I really know of the Revival is that they are lifelong friends, since they were kids.

I think more guys in WWE would be good promos if they were actually allowed to give promos as opposed to read scripts. Some guys do better with scripts (Orton for example loves scripts), but I think a lot of them would be better thinking on their feet and saying what they think.

Unfortunately I don't see Dash/Dawson surviving on the main roster. I was hoping the rumors of WWE trying to make NXT an independent third touring brand were true, but now that Sami's moving on, I don't see that happening, unless they want to center it around Finn instead.

Yeah okay buddy. How else do you expect Bayley to get babyface sympathy if she loses a match 50/50? Asuka should be booked like Owens was when he first signed. She's plowed through every single person on the roster.

Yeah, I get you. I feel personally it's a bit contradictory to say they NEED to change something. There's nothing wrong with being throwback team. Sometimes wrestling is enough. However I do agree with ye old Dubstep Bros, they ARE a team in need of character development because simply, they aren't strong enough in ring like the Revival are.

False equivalence. Usos are colorful high flying samoan jabronis who are over with casuals/kids/families. Do you see Dash/Dawson have the same effect?

Technically the ascension or Darren Young are also surviving. I don't want to see Dash/Dawson at that level. I want to see them at the Dudleys level. Not selling out arenas but at least getting respectable screen time. I can already imagine JBL and King making up a dozen pop culture insults to bury them.

There was no credible way, besides heel turn, that bayley could beat Asuka. She was booked all this time like the female version of Lesnar. The finish was good. Based Haitch.

Now the finish gets the door open for a rematch, maybe in Takeover: Tokyo, and Bayley's last match in nxt?
 
Are we just assuming Takeover Tokyo is a thing? No one has said a word about it other than that sketchy image that came out with no context.

Plus, Meltzer just said this past week that the next Takeover was scheduled for June 8th and would be in Orlando. WWE doesn't tour Japan until July.

Losing twice, decisively, to somebody isn't the way you send somebody like Bayley up to the main roster. Plus, she's all good vibes!

Just getting choked out and beaten is all Bayley needed for sympathy.
She will play it up, and be humble about it which will gain her more. Gimmicks are not needed.
Asuka will continue her tear through and when Bayley gets her rematch the crowd will be roaring for her in the underdog roll, which is the roll she is in through her entire run.

How can you say she doesn't need gimmicks, and then say they'll be roaring for her underdog schtick? She's an underdog...that's her gimmick. IMO, if you have a 50/50 match that Asuka wins via a mistake, it doesn't do as much for Bayley as say...getting no offence in and being choked out.

Babyface's need that fire, that sheer fight and will to come back. Match was fine, and it'll be fine moving forward. But damn it, I remember having the feels when Owens killed Sami via stoppage. Last night was like well...Bayley lost. She'll be fine.
 
Man, I'm watching the Joe/Balor match again and this crowd was hot as fuck. Really wish they just would have let Joe bleed after the second stoppage, he looked like a fucking monster
 
Yeah the crowd was amazing. My favorite NXT crowd yet. It's like they were trying to work extra hard to make up for the Brits ruining NXT London

Holy shit, this interview with Gable and Jordan is so emotional. Jordan tears up through the whole thing and is barely able to stop from crying and Gable is feeling his buddy so much and just hearing Gable talk about how Jordan has been there for so long and finally has something to show for it was just...man.

Getting all of your offense in, and STILL getting choked out did much more for both of them.
Having Asuka come in and destroy Bayley would A) Make the fans turn on Asuka B) Make Bayley look far too weak. C) When a time comes and Bayley does beat Asuka it is all completely erased where a closer match still has weight.
Just my opinion.
