Quantum Break |OT| We'll Be Right Back After This Commercial Break

I should probably do another full playthrough on hard sometime. It gets more challenging at the end, but should be doable. I'd like to find out what the opposite choices will turn into.

May have been answered elsewhere but does the retail version come with a dust cover or is just the regular case like most other games? It's a minor aesthetic thing but I do like the dust covers.

Yes the screenshots issue sucks, i took lot of them in act 1 already, though it's fine, since i'm definitely gonna replay this a second time at least to see the other choices and unlock all the achievements, so i'll take screenshots there, and i'll have the second run on PC so they'll look even better

This is ridiculous. I don't understand why you can't stick these things on a thumb drive or something. So irritating.

I know, it's dumb. The only way to get it off now is to screen grab with a capture card. But that just seems silly.

On act 4 now. This are really getting wild. Battles in time fractures are amazing!
 
When do I get my PC code and my Alan Wake codes?

Also I had the no screenshot issue. I thought some update might have changed how it was done, but I can confirm it did not work for me. any way around it?

Yeah I guess you got a point there. I will go back to try and 100% this I reckon so I'll just have to take shots again.
 
Just finished act 1, the junction and episode 1 and think it all comes together very well.
Wasn't sure what to think about it before I played.
Looking forward to see how it all plays out now.
 
I could be wrong, but at the start of act 1.

As soon as I saw the guy who brings Jack to the first location in act 1,i thought it was the old Jack Joyce
which would be really neat. Am I right?
 
Ugh, even on XB1 this game is good-looking. Obvious pop-in and temporal ghosting aside, the art style and music are great and I haven't even started fighting yet.
 
Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but have they already sent out codes for 360 Alan Wake + DLC? I received American Nightmare for preordering digitally a few weeks ago.
 
I'd love to see this game on PC, because it's visually inconsistent on Xbox One. It looks INCREDIBLE one second and rough the next. Wish the IQ was better and the ghosting stuff drives me insane. The lighting and time effects are just absurd though.

Haha that's really cool.

So i just finished the first show episode and damn...that was actually really damn good. If that keeps up with the other episodes as well, shit, i'd like a full blown show! Quality acting too, but then again i would expect that from at least two The Wire actors. Very nice video quality too, damn crisp.

What i chose was:

Paul Serene made the decision to go Hardline. I just didn't want to frame Jack. I made this decision as if i were Paul Serene, and since they were friends...i made this decision and of course from his villain point of view. :)

So had i made that other choice, the show episode would have been completely different or just slightly?
 
Play it for far too long last night. Now I'm tired as all hell. Can't wait to play it some more tonight. Good job Remedy!
 
I still haven't received Alan Wake, AW American Nightmare or W10 code.

Called them up. They said AW American Nightmare will be the first code to be sent out followed by AW+additional content and W10. It will be done in waves.

I'm not holding my breath. Will just play and enjoy QB on X1 and hopefully I'll have the codes sooner or later. Though they should've planned this properly. If W10 isn't ready release it when it is we'll wait. Don't tell us it's the 5th and keep us waiting like this. Be late but be specific so we know when to expect it.
 
Damn I hate that my Xbox shows Quantum Break is ready to start but when I click on it I'm told it can not be played until it is finished installing. :( I guess I'll just have to be patient.
 
Downloading this game over the windows 10 store is too painful. It's too damn slow, probably slower than 50% of my download speed in steam....

Will there actually be PC codes? Makes more sense for the game to be tied to the account you used to buy it.

Once the game is available on Win10 Store it should allow you just to install it.

It's been stated countless times that the store doesn't support preloading yet and that will come in the stepstone summer update.

Also absolute joke that they haven't send you the code in advance yeah? So you can just cancel your Xbox pre-order then and have the game for free?
 
Still dont understand how you can give this a 2/5. I mean sure the live action is up for debate. I like it but maybe others really dont like it. But the rest is just very solid. No way one person can find it crap and the other great.

That happens with the Anniversary update when the Stores merge (also will be adding pre-order, pre-load, etc... to Windows 10)

EDIT: This is going to be a long day for me. Work, then work after work. Blah.

Anyway, I don't know if the bumpers on my Elite controller are weird, but sometimes I hit those suckers and the dash just doesn't activate. I'm not sure if it's me or what. The recoil on some of these guns too...sheesh.

Well i just played it. So.

And dash is on a cooldown. 2 quick burst is possible. 3 if you upgrade.

Neat thing I noticed when starting the game:

When you exit the cab you can go further down the street instead of into the campus and Martin Hatch is there and says hello, then when you move away he dissapears and Jack wonders where he went....Interesting.

I dont think its actually cross buy, just cross...save. Which is dumb but thats how theyre playing it.

This is a known issue with the One. At least on my end it is.
What fixes it every single time is disconnect your one from the Internet entirely.
Continue the install from the disk and let it get to 100%, which it will do so MUCH quicker when you are offline.
Once it is done go back online and get the updates.

It happens all the time with disk based installs on my end, and doing what I said above, going offline completely and installing the disk, always works.

EDIT: You may even need to stop the install entirely and start over. Do not worry, it will go much faster offline.
 
Oh hold on....

My feed on Xbox One is not showing my videos and screenshots but it DID save them, they are found in my notifications. It's just that others can't see it though.
