Giant Bomb Vive stream | What a Time to Be a Vive!

I'm one of the pathfinders who got theirs early and wrote up my opinions on it after a month of use here:

I think the omni is a great option for people who want to play conventional games in VR (like using VorpX). It definitely offers a different experience than roomscale tracking. It's also compatible with the Vive. I'm going to try Windlands on my Omni because it has lots of moments where it expects you to walk endlessly in one direction (normally mapped to the vive controller).

How easy is it to add support for it? Like if Skyrim did VR support would it be fairly easy to get the Omni working with it?

Haha oh god that twinkle in Drew's eye when he realized the future of simulator games in VR

I want Flight Club VR.

The tracking of objects and interactions is pretty amazing for a day one product. It seems like anything he wants to do is working pretty much on the first try and as you would expect it to.

I'd have SO much fun playing that damn game yet Jeff just casually playes it like "meh, pretty cool"

OMG can we get someone else to play!?

Again, still sucks when someone gets an Oculus with the touch controllers in a few months and has to pay $40 for this.

Sure, but by then I imagine Job Simulator won't still be $40. Just like by the time EVE Valkyrie launches on Vive it may not be $60.

This is making me so hype about the future of VR. I want a Matrix-style game where you have to yank the cord out of your VR-self to exit.

How was the sense of speed? Did it feel accurate as you pedalled harder or coasted?

Sense of speed was definitely noticeable, it was in a loud conference hall so that takes away from it somewhat. The pedaling difficulty is fixed, but the more effort you put in the faster you go. Steering was tricky because you have lean left and right on the seat, it's not tied to your head.
