I don't think Giant Bomb is for you. He's having a good time, he's playing it how he actually plays games, not to impress.

In a few years you'll be able to get a first generation Vive for fairly cheap I imagine. It might not be compatible with new games but if you want to experience the games they're playing in this stream it'll be an easy entry point.

Which is my mistake. I was really hoping to get excited for Vive and see them genuinely hyped for the new tech but it just seems like any old day to them.

Definitely not for me.

This is how Giant Bomb is; Jeff is just being himself. They don't exaggerate when they do streams like this. Like others have said,if you want super exaggeration, watch Youtube.

I don't see how you can say that after Jeff just tried to eat change, throw lit fireworks in the trash and spent a minute shooting staples at the 3rd person camera.

Youtube has ruined you dude. Not everyone has to be screaming to enjoy themselves.

It is a new day for them. They are working and have already played tons of VR.

If you want overly-excited people that scream at every little thing then GiantBomb isn't the place for that. That's why it's good.

To be fair, they've been using VR quite a few times by now. But yes, Jeff isn't particularly creative when he plays games that reward creativity. He's also not excitable.

The GB guys aren't "hype men," they just give their genuine reactions to stuff they play. There are like ten thousand other video game video channels out there if you want people super excited for VR.

Maybe people who only watch the insanely exaggerated actions of some of the popular YouTube streamers don't know what actual human emotion looks like.

Not looking for crazy Youtubers but was just hoping for more excitement since I can barely contain mine for it.

Jeff can totally be jaded and cynical, people are not wrong about that, but in this case I think you are totally wrong. He seems to be having a great time.

Again, you realize they've been previewing this stuff for months now? At least since last E3. Go check out those streams if you want to see Jeff being super hype about VR games because that's when they were fresh.
