ARTPOP gets worse and worse as time goes on...

At first, I was like, it's a 7.5, then I was like, it's a 6 after like three weeks.

Now it's like a 3.5 tops.

I can't really disagree about the aging. My most recent impressions were definitely more negative than they were back when it released.

The stuff on ARTPOP that I don't like now is the same stuff I didn't like when it first came out. Like, Dope and Jewels and Drugs have to be her worst songs. They claimed The Queen's throne.

I do agree that ARTPOP in the form we finally got felt overproduced and overworked, barring a few songs. What she did to Aura for example between the leak and the final version sucked, and I cannot listen to the album version. Also it's not just a case of "well I heard the demo first" - for example Bad Romance leaked way before the final version and the final version is just better. Not the case with Aura.

Swine was also a bit overdone. I think that was part of the issue with the album for me - all of the rough edges were smoothed out to the point where it lost a lot of it's identity. There are a few songs on which the polished feel really works - namely DWUW and Applause - but for most of them it doesn't.

Also I finally listened to Gwen's new album a few times over the past week. It's... good although the whole album kind of feels like filler tbh. There aren't many songs I would specifically look up to listen to on their own.
